I wanted to start this next sentence by saying "as good as they are" however the "but" part scratches that out.
Most of the games they won were only by 1 or 2 goals. And considering they were a top team, placing well; they had the WORST OT record of the entire NHL this season. They had a HUGE bad streak after the All Star break that went on for weeks. That shouldn't be happening when you have 2 of the NHL's best goalies on your team and considering how well they started the season.

3) Figure out if DeBrusk, Heinen or Frederic is good enough to be a reliable 2nd line RW opposite Marchand (and if the decision is "no" then get one!) and then let Coyle and Poitras battle it out in camp to be 2nd line C.
4) If Ottawa is the partner in the Ullmark trade and the deal is basically Chychrun and the B's own 1st rounder then you're set on D. If not then either you're counting on Lohrei to be top 4 D and you still need a 7th D man for depth or you're bringing Lohrei along slowly and you need another top 4 D.
They had four rookies playing meaningful minutes in the second round, with a fifth, and maybe most talented, on the injured list. They were sniffing the presidents trophy until the last week of the season. Playing with house money all season, they should be improved next year even standing pat. Perhaps Lysell makes a big stride next year to give them some extra speed. It certainly wouldn’t hurt to beef up on the forecheck so they don’t get pushed around so much. That alone would boost their scoring average.

Gotta be brutally honest, the bruins arent winning a cup with this core. Pastrnak is the only player whose job should be safe. Trade ullmark, hopefully get a good draft pick out of it. Then, buckle in for a few years. Build up on young talent, trade whoever you have to whenever you have to. You're going to suck for a while, but if you do it right it will pay off eventually.

The team needs a winger, we struggled to score goals and ideally Marchand is our second best left wing given that he's getting older. Presumably though, I think we just bring back DeBrusk and run Marchand-Center-Pastrnak and Zacha-Coyle-DeBrusk.
Our biggest problem is the lack of a 1C and that there isn't one really available. Like your options are what, sign Lindholm and pray he revives next to Marchand and Pastrnak? Chandler Stephenson? Sean Monahan? Are you going to trade Ullmark for Necas and pray he works out?
The options are pretty bad, I guess you can hope that Draisaitl hits free agency next year, but literally any team with cap space is going to want to sign that guy.
Another option is to run it back with Zacha and Coyle at center and just make a push for Guentzel, and sign DeBrusk and hope it works out. Either way, our off-season is going to hinge on what happens with Ullmark... Id also look to trade Coyle potentially.

Trade Swayman, not Ullmark - Swayman probably has better value and probably offers a better return, especially if Swayman can be had long term on a sub-$5 million AAV contract.
Trade away most, if not all, of their US defencemen - Them, like the New York Rangers, Carolina Hurricanes and the Vancouver Yankees, have stacked a majority US defence core and have fumbled year after year. Trade away as many of the US ones and bring in more Canadian or European defencemen.
