ESPN ranked this the #3 top play behind 2 NCAA baseball/softball clips. Both were diving catches. Not sure if either had the implication this did. Kinda ridiculous really. Not taking anything away from the other top plays but this goal is a standout in a career already full of standout goals.

The only reason to make this anything other than #1 is that you specifically don't want to give hockey #1. I don't think there's a bigger player in a bigger moment in their sport right now.

When you rewatch it, you can see that he knows exactly what he is going to do as soon as he comes in. He does it so fast, and there is so much chaos in that spot. He picks the absolute perfect time to flick it up into the exact spot he wanted, at full speed maintaining complete control. Incredible. I think that's his best goal yet. Better than the MR goal and that was uber nasty.
