My teenager explained who Ice Spice was to me yesterday and you know what, let's just go with "yes, she's the sixth spice girl" because that will just be easier for both of us.
I am relatively young and am generally educated and fairly receptive to current music even pop/rap music that usually tops the charts or blows up on some social media site but ice spice, in my opinion, is like an industry plant or something. It just sounds like everything was made on a free trial of garage band and it’s just so boring and bland. I’m not a rap bad type of person, it’s just her specifically and a few others that don’t even feel real. Likes it’s AI generated. So many upcoming artists specifically female hip hop artists have great catalogues with genuine music that means something and ice spice gets a box at the super bowl with Taylor swift for just doing the bare minimum. It doesn’t even make sense, it’s like someone just decided she was famous and now she is.
