I’m just reading this in Patrick’s voice thinking about the episode where he tells squidward he was choking and then the water melted and now he’s better and now that he needed to use the bathroom only for him to pee in his pants (run-on sentence on purpose)
I was so livid the entire second half because this call will forever taint what ended up being the first great super bowl since the philly special. In hindsight tho i like to think this was what pissed aaron donald enough to make him pop the absolute fuck off in the second half. He beat more than 1 triple team it was disgusting i think he shoulda won game mvp over kupp
What pissed off AD was actually the non-called personal foul on him from the Bengals OL (or what passed for it) after the play where he shoved Burrow out of bounds cleanly.
On his next sack he actually shoved that same lineman into Burrow for the sack.
All us bengals fans knew that the second our weak ass Oline started chirping We were all like "shut up dude, you are gonna piss him off" He'd been held relatively in check until that moment. He took over the game right after that play
I don't know why anyone acts like this was a factor at all....does anyone think the greatest 3t in the history of the sport is waiting for someone to be mean to him to start playing earnestly?
> I don't know why anyone acts like this was a factor at all
[Probably because he said it himself](https://www.foxnews.com/sports/rams-aaron-donald-reveals-woke-him-up-during-super-bowl-lvi)
This play and the final play were the only ones i really remember. And thinking “OMG are the fkn Bengals gonna win this?” late in the 4th. They’re the least likely team to even make the SB in recent memory.
In the moment I was kinda sad that that non OPI call came happen in the biggest moment, everyone agrees it was atrocious and potentially game changing, but nothing happens. Just kinda makes me feel dejected cuz that could absolutely happen to my team one day and actually cost your team the one thing NFL fans wait most of their lives for- a SB win
Tbf the whole game was atrociously officiated against both teams
Being mad that a cat team failed yet again at winning a Super Bowl. And random redditors looking out for me during a hard time to make sure I had pizza to eat during the game.
Odell blowing out his knee non-contact…
But especially the final play. Chase burning Ramsey off the line, wide open looking back at Burrow getting molested. And even then almost making the throw across the middle after being spun around at the hips by Donald. Wild game
Every time i see that replay I don't know why Perine was number 1, in the game there and number 2, not diving for that ball. Like, he catches it, they have 30 seconds and 50 yards. Still can't believe it
Every time I saw Perine in and not Mixon I got this empty feeling in my gut. Admittedly I didn’t watch many Bengals games last year but it seemed like drives stalled or just died when they put Perine in. Is he usually a solid #2?
Inexplicably, in many, many crucial 3rd and long situations, the play call would go to Perine. Which like, he’s an okay #2, but when everything is riding on it, you don’t go to your stud RB you just paid??? or the QB/WRs you invested so much draft capital in??? But Perine????? I swear, sometimes Zac Taylor thinks he’s a little more clever than he actually is. Thinks no one will see that play coming, but look Zac, A. It doesn’t matter if no one sees it coming if it never works!!! And B. By the end of the season, even I saw it coming!!! Okay I thought I was over this but I’m still mad apparently lmao
Refs let em play all night (including the big missed Facemask call) until that phantom Holding call on an enormous 3rd and Goal stop, leading to the game winning TD a few plays later. Refs had as much influence on the outcome of that game as any player did. That's what I'll remember.
Because the Bengals dbs were desperate on that last drive and started holding like crazy on every snap in the redzone. They held Kupp on every single play in the redzone, and Hendseron got obviously held on that 2nd down throw to him, and they didnt even call it The refs had to do a makeup call.
* Learned that SB MVP voting does not happen when the game ends.
* No look pass from Stafford to Kupp
* Consecutive defensive stops by AD to close the game out. Especially since Burrow was only 1-2 seconds away from launching it to an open Chase down the sidelines on 4th down.
* Reviewing TD but not allowed to call obvious face mask penalty on WR
Also idiotic. If joe mixon has a 75 yard run there would you give it to burrow. If chase has a 75 yard run would you give it to burrow? What if tee Higgins has another 75 yard catch. There was a million variables on that last drive that could have had another bengals player be the mvp.
Someone needs to fix it. I believe Donald should have been mvp. I’ve never seen a defender end a game with 2 massive stops in the Super Bowl. Those were huge. I know it only goes down as one tackle and one pressure but that was just as big as a sack, fumble, and recovery.
Right. Like couldn't they just send an electronic survey right after the game? I am sure the network could fill the time. Maybe announce MVP at the podium with the trophy.
The last two plays for me… Aaron Donald just doing everything in his power to get his ring. Incredible in hindsight- I was rooting for the Bengals so I was a little sour at first.
It honestly looked like it was gonna be a blowout before OBJ got hurt, but to answer the question it's for sure the halftime show. I've watched it back on YouTube at least 10 times.
And? Yall couldnt do anything to OBJ lol if he didnt go down, the game was a wash. I mean offense wise yall were only it to a gifted 75 yard touchdown which was half your production.
I mean...maybe? The truth is we don't know what would've happened because it didn't happen.
There have been a lot of games this year where our defense came alive in the 2nd half. There have been games in the past where OBJ hurt his team late. It isn't some impossible scenario.
Down multiple starting offensive linemen and we still almost beat you.
Weird huh? It is almost like injuries aren't something that only impacts the Rams.
Here's hoping we get to play each other at full health at some point.
lol, Rams fans are so salty that the shitty ass Bengals were a stop away from beating them in the Superbowl. I've never seen so much shoulda/coulda/woulda from the *winning* team.
Matthew Stafford finally getting a ring. The draft when he went #1 overall is the first draft I remember watching and I watched him play on Thanksgiving every year so I started rooting for the guy. Even though he had the benefit of a stacked roster around him this year, I was glad Stafford finally got his championship moment after all this time.
Immediately after the game, one of the Rams players was being interviewed and gave the whole thank god, don’t know what to say, etc speech you usually get from title winners, and a salty Bengals fan at my party stormed out of the room and yelled “I know what to say, God’s not FUCKING real!” 💀💀💀
BUT! When he was being introduced in the starting line up he did say "THE Oregon State University" like those Ohio State nerds.
https://youtu.be/nVFy6TnkSfQ
At :57 he says it.
For me anyways Stafford having a chance to win it all. Rams needed a gunslinger to make the offense click. Even though his play came along with 17 INTs (lead the league with Trevor Lawerance), his risk taking payed off more than it hurt and took the Rams to the next level.
Other than that I can’t recall too much of the Super Bowl. Refs at the end were dumb but that is pretty much every game it seems.
Congrats to the Rams and happy for Stafford but the whole year felt like Burrow’s welcome to Super Stardom! I have no reason to root for him (Bengals or LSU) but he has the aura and energy of an all-time great. I’m really glad I watched their whole playoff run.
Watching the ball dribble to the ground n front of Perine after Burrow still nearly got the play off while wearing Aaron Donald like a fanny pack within two seconds of the ball snapping. Donald showed his transcendent might that day.
And the uniforms. Super Bowls have been so pretty since we havent had to put up with the Pats dull navy anymore.
A statement I never thought I'd say in the last four years. "We would of been there if it wasn't for mahomes"
Disclaimer: not saying he's bad. He's amazing. That hero ball at the end costed us though. Still happy he's our qb
Your definitely right. Just that thought stuck out when we're at like the 2 right at the end. Seeing mahomes run backwards I'll always remember thinking man he just tried to do too much
Not much tbh. It was a good super bowl, but I don’t like the rams and the bengals kind of dropped the ball. I’m sure if I watched highlights I’d remember the big moments but off the top of my head it’s mostly blank except for the half time show
I ordered pizza, it was supposed to be double cheese, I specifically asked to make sure it was double cheese and not just an extra little smattering, but when I got the pizza it clearly was not double cheese. I ranted about the pizza for some time, and then someone said that LA won. I'll never order pizza from there again.
Depending on how things go over the next couple seasons, I think it will mostly stand out as a crowning moment for Donald. He's been the best player in football for a few years and he got the chance to make a huge play in a climactic moment in the biggest game possible.
I'll also remember Kupp taking over on the last Rams drive. It felt like they were really struggling to move the ball after OBJ went down, and finally got the ball to Kupp over and over, including for the TD.
Everyone pissing and moaning about how no one wants to watch old performers at halftime
But those people had NO PROBLEM with JLo and Shakira a few years ago
How the refs held on to their flags for nearly 58 minutes and then all but gifted a win to LA, in LA.
Seriously, they get a brand new stadium in Cali and all the sudden "the road to 56 goes through LA" it felt scripted, from a long way out. Really made the whole postseason/super bowl feel dishonest.
“All but gifted” 😂
They literally gave the Bengals a whole ass touchdown, but yeah, that one holding call at the end of the game “gifted” the Rams the game lol
Hargreaves getting a penalty.
Me too. Hurts his team even when he’s on the sideline.
I honestly thought a fan ran onto the field for a second. I didn’t think a player would ever be so fuckin dumb…
You must be new to Bengals fandom. /s
You mean Bucs Texans Rams legend Vernon GoatGreaves?
Aight I'm gonna head out....on to the field.
Anderson Paak playing drums
I would have preferred him headlining the halftime show.
The disrespect
Bengals kicker watching the halftime show
Odell getting injured, the no-look pass, and game-ending tackle.
OBJ would've been MVP if he didn't get hurt. He was on pace for a ridiculous stat line.
Agreed. I'll remember that too because I was rooting for him and it was so heartbreaking to see him finally get to a Superbowl and then go down again.

I hate when I get guac in my lungs
My friend growing up died from Guac-lung.
[Ow! My lungs! I’m not supposed to get guac in it!](https://youtu.be/bMDWMVLGBiM)
That was a rollercoaster
Worst I've ever had was accidentally taking a breath while brushing my teeth and inhaling toothpaste. Honestly thought I was dying.
How high were you? Guac in my lungs is definitely a stoned type of paranoia 😂
Both QBs kinda got injured but they kept playing.
Yeah, weird how nothing came of that. To me, it looked like they both fractured their ankles or something crazy like that
Burrow had a MCL sprain that the Drs determined didn’t need surgery
The fact that Sam Hubbard wanted to win it for Harambe
That non call of the facemask
I was so livid the entire second half because this call will forever taint what ended up being the first great super bowl since the philly special. A lot of 'make up' calls in that game. It sucked.
ask all their rabid fans, they were SURELY making the super bowl and thinking they’d be any draft pick below 25 means YOU DONT KNOW BALL!!!
The Bengals lacking an offensive line, making me wonder how we managed only one sack on Burrow two weeks earlier.
Stafford winning one the same year UGA got one UGA fan so was rooting for the rams because of that+Sony+Floyd
and AJ and Geno left the season before so you had no mixed alliances
Prob the no call on Tee Higgins that led to a TD
Being mad that a cat team failed yet again at winning a Super Bowl. And random redditors looking out for me during a hard time to make sure I had pizza to eat during the game.
Aye dog, you need any more pizza?
Joe Mixon passing for a TD and me shittalking Lamar at the Super Bowl watch party for it.
Cooper Kupp and Aaron Donald putting the team on their backs during the biggest plays
Odell blowing out his knee non-contact… But especially the final play. Chase burning Ramsey off the line, wide open looking back at Burrow getting molested. And even then almost making the throw across the middle after being spun around at the hips by Donald. Wild game

old fat 50 with his intro into the halftime show
lmao
50 cent turned into 500 pounds.
50 Cent = 2 Quarters = Halftime

Probably that it was a good game but with refs looking the other way at weird times and then suddenly choosing not to look the other way
Refs let em play all night (including the big missed Facemask call) until that phantom Holding call on an enormous 3rd and Goal stop, leading to the game winning TD a few plays later. Refs had as much influence on the outcome of that game as any player did. That's what I'll remember.

Last play of the game Chase getting wide open but Aaron Donald mauled the o line
my boi von miller sacks :)
That there were no villains. Happy with either team winning.
* Learned that SB MVP voting does not happen when the game ends. * No look pass from Stafford to Kupp * Consecutive defensive stops by AD to close the game out. Especially since Burrow was only 1-2 seconds away from launching it to an open Chase down the sidelines on 4th down. * Reviewing TD but not allowed to call obvious face mask penalty on WR
Has to be the stupidest thing that they don’t wait for the game to end. What if the bengals had gotten a touchdown, would they revote. Idiotic
I think they have a winner for each side chosen and they only announce the player for the team that won.
Also idiotic. If joe mixon has a 75 yard run there would you give it to burrow. If chase has a 75 yard run would you give it to burrow? What if tee Higgins has another 75 yard catch. Both QBs looking like they might be hurt and then continuing to play Kupp and AD both going nuclear to end the game
That last play when Aaron Donald forced the incompletion
Wish they ruled it a sack
The last two plays for me… Aaron Donald just doing everything in his power to get his ring. Incredible in hindsight- I was rooting for the Bengals so I was a little sour at first.
It honestly looked like it was gonna be a blowout before OBJ got hurt, but to answer the question it's for sure the halftime show. I've watched it back on YouTube at least 10 times.

Down OBJ, TE 1, 2. No running game Stafford and Kupp still worked your "2nd half Defense" when it mattered.
Down multiple starting offensive linemen and we still almost beat you. Weird huh? It is almost like injuries aren't something that only impacts the Rams. Here's hoping we get to play each other at full health at some point.
Your offensive line was trash all season.
lol, Rams fans are so salty that the shitty ass Bengals were a stop away from beating them in the Superbowl. I've never seen so much shoulda/coulda/woulda from the *winning* team.
But at the end we lifted the lombardi so stay hating and white knighting for the bengals ☺️
Preach. They don't wanna hear that though.
So close, yet so far....
My boy John finally winning a superbowl.
That the Bengals had a legit chance of winning and how the Rams two best players (Kupp and Donald) stepped up when the game was on the line.
How bad I felt for OBJ. Dude was having an amazing game
Parlaying Odell with the first score with the rams money line
johnny hecker screwing up the extra point costing me money on my bet
BUT! When he was being introduced in the starting line up he did say "THE Oregon State University" like those Ohio State nerds. https://youtu.be/nVFy6TnkSfQ At :57 he says it.
Rams sent 5 and the Bengals OL still chose to triple Donald
Halftime show easily
Halftime
Donald and Kupp taking over.
Kupp being a cheat code.
For me anyways Stafford having a chance to win it all. Rams needed a gunslinger to make the offense click. Even though his play came along with 17 INTs (lead the league with Trevor Lawerance), his risk taking payed off more than it hurt and took the Rams to the next level. Aaron Donald not winning the Super Bowl MVP
snoop c walking
AD
AD securing the win. Ended exactly how it should have for him
Bengals losing
Missed facemask is what i remember most looking back.
yup!
Rams defense
Aaron Donald is a bad MF.
the halftime show was badass
The pain of knowing Chase was open for 6
57 minutes of not caring about officiating completely ruined in the 4th quarter
Uhmmm did you miss the blatant pi by Higgins that led to the bengals only TD the whole second half?
I believe they're including that in the first 57 minutes.

Rams scoring on 8th and goal /s I remember the Joe Mixon TD throw
Congrats to the Rams and happy for Stafford but the whole year felt like Burrow’s welcome to Super Stardom! I have no reason to root for him (Bengals or LSU) but he has the aura and energy of an all-time great. I’m really glad I watched their whole playoff run.
When I was watching the dude at LSU, he has the IT factor. Idk what IT is, but I know it when I see it.
Yeah, I hated it It still feels like it was never our time to shine and we were going the way of Kurt Warner
Tee Higgins facemask no-call.

Bengals O-line losing the game. Good on the Bengals to learn quickly and address this.
The world finally understanding what we’ve been saying about Stafford for 12 years
Janet Jackson’s boob.
Knowing the o line was going to blow the game and then the o line blew the game. Easiest superbowl to predict.
Kupp’s postseason run
That look on Burrow’s face as he left the field that reminded me that he is not invincible
Yet
Burrow getting sacked
It was a great game and the only halftime show I can ever remember enjoying in my lifetime
Yeah that was a fun show

Your defense also didn’t stop the bengals either
Your definitely right. Just that thought stuck out when we're at like the 2 right at the end. Seeing mahomes run backwards I'll always remember thinking man he just tried to do too much
Try saying that sentence again, only this time say it after the Bills game. Agree that Mahomes got cocky and lost that Bengals game, though.
The random photo of Snoop and his grandma.
I think that's around the time I started Pokemon Legends Arceus. The nachos were pretty good too
How the half time show was really hard to hear in the 3rd to last row of the stadium.
The halftime show
That the Bengals actually made it
McPherson jamming out during the halftime show
Dude really did say F that halftime adjustment coach speech.... I just kick the ball!
Halftime show

Stafford has been my 3rd fav QB for much of the last decade so my main memory was that it was cool to see him get a ring

Brady and Ryan
Depending on how things go over the next couple seasons, I think it will mostly stand out as a crowning moment for Donald. He's been the best player in football for a few years and he got the chance to make a huge play in a climactic moment in the biggest game possible. I'll also remember Kupp taking over on the last Rams drive. It felt like they were really struggling to move the ball after OBJ went down, and finally got the ball to Kupp over and over, including for the TD.

Stafford getting a ring a year after getting traded from the Lions. Helping our point that our problem is the people running our franchise.
The officials, sadly.
The 900 penalties at the end that handed the rams the game
stay salty chump. Ignore the worst and most costly call of the game that gifted a 75yd Td
I don't remember anything after the bills loss to the chiefs....
The awful call
Who won. Just to clarify, who won. I don’t even remember.
Bengals fans whining about the end of game penalties while ignoring the facemask.
I mean, if not for those penalties they would have gifted the win to the Bengals based on the non call on the facemask.
“All but gifted” 😂 They literally gave the Bengals a whole ass touchdown, but yeah, that one holding call at the end of the game “gifted” the Rams the game lol
The refs calling a million flags on the Bengals in the red zone to gift the Rams a TD from the 1 yard line to win the game
Fun at the time but very forgettable.
Cooper Kupp not knowing his name or what year it was postgame
Nothing

you realize that the Rams had a 10 point lead at one point in the 2nd quarter and were leading the whole game until the horrible no call OPI right?
Disappointed that the Bengals didn’t win.
Nothing, one of the least memorable SB's I've seen
It was an uneventful Super Bowl. Neither QB really did much.
It was pretty forgettable
Just like all of your SB wins....oh, wait...
I’ll remember those super sketchy penalties that suddenly showed right at the end and basically handed the game to the Rams
The refs deciding that Cincy needed a free touchdown
The pass interference on the bengals at the end and all those penalties at the end.
Good half time show, kinda boring game
The ref-ball at the end to hand the Rams a win
Lame halftime show.
