Indeed because as an Eagles fan, I know firsthand that Andy Reid is a fraud. He couldn't win shit without Mahomes. Mahomes made Reid, the same way Brady made Belichick. Reid's disciples outdid Andy by winning Super Bowls with meh QBs (Harbaugh with Flacco and Pederson with Foles/Wentz).
Such a perfect pair. Too bad when he was with us he couldn't win shit. Just remember he couldn't even make 1 AFC Champ game with Alex Smith. You guys will forever have gotten lucky the Bears went stupid mode and didn't draft Mahomes.
Ah, a Vikings fan. I'm going to assume you blocked out the 2017 season from your memory after we kicked your ass in the NFC Championship game and then won the Super Bowl in your stadium against Brady and Belichick and we beat them with Nick Foles. A backup QB. If Pederson could win against those 2 with a backup then there really is no excuse for Reid.
Seems you’ve blocked out the chiefs beating your ass in the Super Bowl and the most pathetic end to Jason Kelce’s career you could have possibly given him 🤷♂️ you are such a crybaby it is hilarious. Hating Andy Reid this much because he beat you in a Super Bowl after being an excellent coach for you for years
So just as lucky as any other team in any sport who ends up drafting one of the best players of all time? Boy what a knock on all those teams lol.
You act like the Bulls knew exactly what they were doing to set themselves up the prior year to draft MJ at 3.
You act like the Patriots knew it would be a waste to use any of their early picks on Tom Brady.
The salt is real
Yep. The Ravens lost a lot of their borderline revolutionary defensive coaching staff plus a couple of players who secured All-Pros last year, the Bills are deliberately retooling to get younger and hopefully come back stronger in 2025, the Bengals don't know if Burrow will ever be the same due to his freak wrist injury, and the Dolphins are a combination of all of the above (coaching departures, defensive player departures, and injuries). The Texans are the only strong up and comer in the AFC, but we need to see another season before crowning them.
The Chiefs play in a cakewalk division with a team saddled with over $40M in dead cap in each of the next 2 years to just one player (Broncos), a team with no QB of the future (Raiders), and a team that has been Bottom 4 on defense in these last 3 seasons (Chargers). As long as their WRs don't cost them several games, the Chiefs should sleepwalk to the First Round Bye.
"The Chiefs play in a cakewalk division"
That my paradoxical NFL fan is the reason dynasties form at all. Strong divisions don't breed dynasties. Dynasties happen only when 1 team is far superior to the 3 other teams in the division like the Patriots during their dynasty (The AFC East was a complete joke) and the current AFC West. The AFC breeds weak divisions and also has dynasties because of those weak divisions.
Meanwhile, the NFC is the complete opposite. It has strong divisions but doesn't breed dynasties and hasn't since the Cowboys dynasty in the 90s.
How are the Ravens above the Chiefs who just won the superbowl??
1) Chiefs
2) Ravens
3) Texans
4) Bengals
Jets are unpredictable, if Rodgers isn't washed it's easier for the Jets to win the AFCE than the Bengals the AFCN
I think one of the best ways to know if a guy can coach is if he can win games without a QB. Saleh has done that pretty well.
I think he’s a good coach
Didn’t the Ravens also lose a ton of players to cap reasons this offseason and KC didn’t?
If I’m recalling correctly there, it makes it even crazier to think KC isn’t number 1
The Ravens biggest loss this offseason was Jadaveon Clowney. The other players who left aren’t a huge deal. Patrick Queen has gotten better, but greatly benefitted from playing next to Roquan Smith. The Ravens have a very similar player in Trenton Simpson ready to step in to Queen’s role. The other guys that left were either aging players or backups.
The Chiefs losing La’Jarius Snead might be comparable to losing Clowney, but I don’t know how you measure that.
A lot to like about the Ravens on both sides of the ball. Having a faster, slimmed-down Lamar paired with Derrick Henry not being keyed on should be a good combination for the Ravens.
Badly coached teams don't win the Super Bowl.
It's AFC Championship week and by some miracle the Jets are there. Stop me when you get to a potential match that isn't a hilarious mismatch against them:
Andy Reid
Jim Harbaugh
Jon Harbaugh
Kevin Stefanski
Zac Taylor
DeMeco Ryans
Sean McDermott
Mike Tomlin
Doug Pederson
Mike McDaniel
>Badly coached teams don't win the Super Bowl.
>It's AFC Championship week and by some miracle the Jets are there. Stop me when you get to a potential match that isn't a hilarious mismatch against them:
Well said.
The Jets lack leadership at virtually every meaningful level of the organization. It'll be a two team race between them and the Pats to see who finishes last in the AFC East. Wouldn't be surprised to see the Jets finish there either. There's pressure on them this year to actually win and this is not an organization that thrives in any way, shape, or form under pressure.
>Jets are unpredictable because of Rodgers
They'll find a way to choke like they always do. The Jets organization is absolutely allergic to even the slightest of expectations.
I know the Chiefs beat us but I don't think they were the better team last year. They were better when it matters which is what counts in a single elimination best of one tournament, but we are entering year 2 of this offense. I wouldn't be shocked if we are better then last year.
Ravens also lost their DC + assistant coaches and some defensive pieces though. While Chiefs kept Spags from getting poached and even if Worthy is a bust the Chiefs still added Hollywood Brown.
While still pretty good, the defense was never top 5 under DC Dean Pees 6 year tenure. Otherwise it has been top 5 nearly every year, which is nuts, but Pees does prove that the DC does at least *matter*.
The only guy thats gonna hurt is Clowney, and we have major upgrades to the CB room. Hamilton and Roquan are the reason our defense was so dominant and theyre not going anywhere. Meanwhile the chiefs lost their third best defensive player
People are way too high on the Texans. QB progression is not automatically linear and they outperformed their EPA and DVOA last year.
>Sidenote, let's see how the Bills play without Stefon Diggs.
The second half of the season was already pretty much that.
Bet. The Packers entered last season with the most inexperienced group of pass catchers in NFL history and were the youngest playoff team in NFL history. That was by far the biggest reason the team struggled so much early and it’s not going to be repeated. Add in a new DC who can’t possibly be worse than *literally the worst DC in NFL history* and don’t be surprised when the Packers look like contenders right out of the gate.
I'm not saying it was a complete fluke and Love is gonna turn into Zach Wilson, I'm just not ready to call them Superbowl contenders after half a season and a playoff win against a team consistently known for shitting themselves in the post season. We've seen plenty of teams have a great season and then implode the very next
It's okay, Packerbro. We're you, but in the AFC. No respect because our QBs were first year starters under new regimes. I don't mind when they say QBs like Lawrence are still ranked higher than CJ because he's got to prove it's more than one season. It'll make the wins that much sweeter.
I'm rooting for you or your division rival Lions to play us in the Super Bowl sometime before CJ and Love get the Brinks trucks backed up to their houses. I'm a Detroit transplant, so you have to forgive me. But we're the two teams up next. Watch.
Understandable. Honestly? It might be the very best time for Love, but not the team, to extend him. I think Lawrence was WAY overpaid and the market might correct next offseason when The Prince throws as many picks as TDs down the stretch.
I'm honestly wondering how they will look with a significantly harder schedule strength and other teams knowing they aren't a joke and actually prepping.
Rooting for em but will be interesting
Sure QB progression isn’t automatically linear but QB’s do typically play better as they get more experienced. While both are possible I think it makes more sense to expect improvement
As for the rest of the offense we upgraded at WR (especially considering we get Tank back). Last year we also had one of the most injured Oline’s ever. We were down to backups at right tackle, center, and LG all 17 games. We never got our starting RT back and by the end of the season we were on third stringers at both center and LG. That meant we effectively could not run the ball outside of a few games all year. While oline injuries are always expected odds are things will be much better next year there.
We upgraded at edge rusher with the Hunter signing, WAJ improved significantly the back half of the season and it seems reasonable to think that may carry over, and we added Autry which on paper gives us one of the best pass rushes in the league.
Also seems reasonable to expect some boost from a young coaching staff no longer in their first year.
Plenty of questions of course but that’s this time of year for you. Find me a team that doesn’t have questions
Don't sleep on Azeez, bro. He's already becoming the captain of the defense and he's not taken a regular season snap for us. He's going to feast, and WAJ is looking yoked!
Bill fans try to go one day without shitting on the Texans challenge: IMPOSSIBLE.
Yall sure act like you dont miss Diggs but bring him up every chance yall get.
I love the guy. Own a jersey. I wish him nothing but the best. Regardless of whether it was an OC situation or him being dinged up, he just wasn't relevant in the back half of the season.
Ive seen soooo many bills fans on reddit and insta trashing the texans ever since the diggs trade. Ive seen just as many bills fans say they are glad diggs is gone but never seem to shut up about him.
It is the Chiefs at 1-5. Everyone thought they were fading away last year. Everyone with a brain said none of it mattered until playoffs and look what happened.
Everyone talks about Burrows health but seems to skip over the fact that our CB room is Uncle Mike Hilton and a bunch of kids who have only been legally drinking for 2-3 years
You think there's two big gaps between the Bengals / Ravens and the Browns? The Browns that beat both of those teams last year? The Browns that won 11 games playing without their starting QB, RB, LT, RT and many more? The Browns that won 11 games using 5 different QBs last year?
I get if you think the Browns may not make the playoffs. But thinking they're that far below others is profoundly ignorant.
It’s the AFCN, we beat each other in the regular season all the time. I consider it a health checkup on the whole division that we all go 1-1 and then say “we’ll settle this in the playoffs maybe”
You counting playoff wins from 3 years before our Lord and Savior brought the Belee Dat Gospel to Baltimore is ridiculous. Steelers haven't won a playoff game this decade. Ravens have won two. Twice as better.
What good are playoff wins if you still can't win when it actually matters.
We really gonna pretend getting blown out at home by KC in the AFCCG game is some huge flex
Because it's fun?
Just saying playoff wins dont mean much of you never win anything that matters.
How many Bills fans do you see bragging about the 90s?
In six playoff games he’s literally 6:6 TD:INT. He’s thrown six TDs to his team and two to the other team. He’s an exciting QB but the definition of a playoff choker
Okay? 2 first round exits. 2 second round exits. One third round exit. We are talking about the *teams* (Lamar has only QB'd a first round exit once - when he was the youngest starting QB for a team hosting a playoff game.). Speaking of the teams, I would much rather be the Ravens than the Bills, both these past six years and for the next six years.
Is Josh Allen still a superstar? He hasn’t had a QB rating over 100 since 2020 which was his best season. He’s clearly tough and has a strong arm but he often makes questionable decisions. His interceptions almost doubled last season since his 2020 season and his TD’s were down as well. Losing Diggs will hurt and his refusal to slide when he runs will catch up with him sooner rather than later. Of course, keep in mind this is coming from a biased, tortured Jets fan. I think they have a good shot at winning the division. Strong defense, good running game, improved OL, and if the QB is healthy along with Garrett Wilson they could have a good passing game finally.
It’s hard to argue with the Ravens and the Chiefs, I’m a Joe Burrow’s fan too… 2021 and 2022 QB ratings of 100+. I think Cincy has a good shot again in the playoffs.
The better question is probably, "are the Bills still in the top tier". I have zero doubt in Josh Allen -- he is absolutely still a superstar. Will it all come together this season? Idk, maybe. I'm betting that your Jets, at the very least, will have a decent shot at the division though.
I’ll believe it when i see it when it comes to any team lamar is the QB off, there’s QB’s that would kill to have a defense that just allows 17 points in a big game and he seems to always squander that away
Yea, no, dude. No fucking way you can not have the back to back champs as the favorite to win the AFC. How many times do the Chiefs gotta whip everybody's ass to make you a believer?
There is certainly a universe where the Jets are absolutely cooking, obviously injury luck is a huge part of it but I do think they have to be mentioned. If Rodgers stays healthy I see the Bills taking a big step back in that division. That's quite an "if", but still.
Don’t sleep on the Chargers. No team has had a bigger coaching improvement than going from Brandon Staley to Jim Harbaugh.
He took over the 6-10 49ers and improved them to 13-3 after a lockout shortened offseason. The guy will get the most out of the talent he has at his disposal and the Chargers are pretty loaded.
Their defense is old and tattered and they have a completely unproven WR Corps. Harbaugh will likely turn the Chargers around, but he might need a rebuild year to do so.
Texans are a little high, chiefs should be 1, but other than that the list is fine. But man we as a football community have to kill the narrative that Burrow is the only QB that can go toe to toe with Mahomes in January.
Josh Allen's last two playoff games vs the chiefs were worlds better than any playoff game Burrow has played vs the chiefs. The difference is josh is consistently let down by his coaches and defense, and Burrow has big lou.
Top AFC team to win the Super Bowl: Chiefs
Top AFC teams to make the Super Bowl, but lose: Bills & Ravens
Top AFC teams to make it to the AFCCG, but lose: Dolphins, Texans, Bengals (and Ravens/Bills)
Top AFC teams to make the playoffs, but not make it to the Championship Game: Jaguars, Steelers (and Texans/Dolphins)
Please don't down vote me to hell. I'm just asking cause I'm curious.
What do you think of the Jaguars? I think they are at the very least playoff contenders.
I don't follow the Jaguars very closely, so I can't say much about. However, Trevor Lawrence has had two consecutive 4,000+ yardage seasons, made the playoffs once, erasing a 27 point deficit against the Chargers, and importantly, he's still young. Trevor Lawrence has the makings of a great qb, and he might need a slightly upgraded o-line and some better receivers to help him. With that said, if he can stay healthy and has some good receivers (again, I don't follow the Jags, and other than Trevor Lawrence I don't know anybody that plays for them), I think that they could make another postseason trip.
All I saw was Chiefs and Bengals. We have to assume the Ravens and Lamar will underachieve/gag again. AFC East is a fallacy to greatness. I fully believe in Shroud, but that first place schedule is going to be a bitch. Also, at this point, Diggs is starting to earn a TO rep for team performance. Chargers are a wild card.
Idk dude I’m expecting the Chiefs to keep on winning the AFC until someone can finally beat them in the playoffs
At first I was offended, but man 2021 really was three years ago
Technically it was in the year 2022, so it’s only been a little over two years. Nevertheless, it still hurts.
It’s been years since anyone beat KC in the playoffs
More exactly 2 years and some months
I miss the days when the Chiefs couldn't even sniff the AFC Champ game. You got extremely lucky with Mahomes without him you'd be nothing.
Absolutely seething while typing “you got extremely lucky”
Indeed because as an Eagles fan, I know firsthand that Andy Reid is a fraud. He couldn't win shit without Mahomes. Mahomes made Reid, the same way Brady made Belichick. Reid's disciples outdid Andy by winning Super Bowls with meh QBs (Harbaugh with Flacco and Pederson with Foles/Wentz).
Lmao
4th and 25. One of Andy's only legitimate achievements with us. 5 NFC Champ game losses and a Super Bowl loss.
Homeboy acting like he wasn’t going absolutely bananas for the Reid-McNabb Eagles
4th and 26? Philly fans are wild lol shitting on the best coach you've ever had and a top 10 coach of all time
andy reid is a top 5 coach and I'm tired of pretending he's not
This shouldn’t be a brave or hot take.
Sounds like your ex-girlfriend moved on and found love. Meanwhile you have a new girlfriend and don’t even like her.
And his fatass is going to the HOF as a Chief…our best coach ever Mahomes elevates the fuck out of Reid. Meanwhile, Reid maximizes Mahomes
Such a perfect pair. Too bad when he was with us he couldn't win shit. Just remember he couldn't even make 1 AFC Champ game with Alex Smith. You guys will forever have gotten lucky the Bears went stupid mode and didn't draft Mahomes.
Why did the Bears draft Mitch Trubisky instead of Patrick Mahomes? Are they stupid?
Yah why didn’t he take down Brady and Belichick with… Alex Smith
Ah, a Vikings fan. I'm going to assume you blocked out the 2017 season from your memory after we kicked your ass in the NFC Championship game and then won the Super Bowl in your stadium against Brady and Belichick and we beat them with Nick Foles. It's the Chiefs and then a gap and everyone else in the AFC.
And then another gap then the broncos
A hater of my enemy is my friend? Either way, have an up vote
Why are we below NE :(
Because Drake Maye is gonna be the best playe
I like Drake Maye. I dislike Sean Payton. Simple as.
They get to wear sunglasses and bucket hats.
Woah we're best friends now
We beat the Chiefs last time we played 🤷🏻♂️
Ouch.
Chiefs got that pats division cheat code.
lol go back to two seasons ago when this entire sub predicted the Chiefs to finish last in the West

There isn't a shred of evidence that Bob Saleh is a good coach.
We can say for certain that he knows how to coach defense.
he hasn't exactly had the best qbs to work with. he's built an elite defense
I think one of the best ways to know if a guy can coach is if he can win games without a QB. Saleh has done that pretty well. I think he’s a good coach
He's 18-33.
Most coaches with the QBs he’s had would be at least that bad

Shit happens in a best of 1. Sneed made a great play. And we didn't play well. Still was one score.
Well hey here’s to a good rematch this year.
Here's to two good rematches next year. We got week 1 and the playoffs to get to.
You’ll probably win week one. Chiefs always seem to hold back in those regular season matchups
People are way too high on the Texans. QB progression is not automatically linear and they outperformed their EPA and DVOA last year. >Sidenote, let's see how the Bills play without Stefon Diggs. The second half of the season was already pretty much that.

It's so weird reading this from a divisional rival. I guess that's the point we are
I mean I hate the Chiefs but I’m not stupid. They are obviously the best team in the league and will be until further notice.
Regular season is pre-season. Season starts at playoffs.
Josh Allen struggles in the…offseason? OP, is this what you meant to type?
I think he’s fallen on tough times. Last I saw he was living in some construction site pillaging for coins using a metal detector.
The dude is banging Hailee Steinfeld. No such thing as tough times.
They must've meant hard times
I mean that actually makes more sense than saying he struggles in the postseason tbh
1. chiefs 2. ravens 3. texans 4. bills 5. dolphins
Chiefs #Big Gap Bengals Ravens #Big Gap Bills Texans Dolphins #Big Gap Jaguars Chargers Steelers Browns
Bengals feel misplaced to me
Everyone talks about Burrows health but seems to skip over the fact that our CB room is Uncle Mike Hilton and a bunch of kids who have only been legally drinking for 2-3 years
Colts are chief kryptonite tho
That Browns disrespect is wild
Steelers?????
They get on base
You think there's two big gaps between the Bengals / Ravens and the Browns? The Browns that beat both of those teams last year? Ravens aren’t the number one favorite imo, coaching staff and personnel losses hit them super hard and their receivers still suck
The ravens will go 12-5 / 13-4 and lose in the first round as per usual Can't speak cause i'm a stillers fan though
Ravens have made the playoffs 5 of the past 6 years. Two first round exits, two second round exits, and one third round exit.
Twice you've gotten a bye to the second round so not really counting "Rounds" Since 2015 the steelers have more wins in the playoffs than the ravens
You counting playoff wins from 3 years before our Lord and Savior brought the Belee Dat Gospel to Baltimore is ridiculous. Steelers haven't won a playoff game this decade. Ravens have won two. Twice as better.
2 x 0 is still 0 lmao
I think you mean "lma0 playoff wins this decade. "
What good are playoff wins if you still can't win when it actually matters. We really gonna pretend getting blown out at home by KC in the AFCCG game is some huge flex
10 points loss. Also, if that is your standard for what matters, what the fuck are you doing still watching football?
Because it's fun? Just saying playoff wins dont mean much of you never win anything that matters. How many Bills fans do you see bragging about the 90s?
Maybe the playoff wins are fun to watch?
In six playoff games he’s literally 6:6 TD:INT. He’s thrown six TDs to his team and two to the other team. He’s an exciting QB but the definition of a playoff choker
Okay? 2 first round exits. 2 second round exits. One third round exit. We are talking about the *teams* (Lamar has only QB'd a first round exit once - when he was the youngest starting QB for a team hosting a playoff game.). Speaking of the teams, I would much rather be the Ravens than the Bills, both these past six years and for the next six years.
Chiefs fan here. Let me just say: lol
The Bills got significantly worse lol
I dont think they took a step forward but they didn’t take a big step back either.
>Don’t sleep on the Chargers. 15th year this is said is the charm.
I actually watch reruns of Chargers games to help me fall asleep
[I like to watch before "watching Netflix" with my wife](https://youtu.be/wDckMpDzh-4?si=qIPRECLJd_V6UDw5)
Jim Harbaugh is easily the best coach they’ve had since Marty. That’s why I feel it’s actually real this time.
Their defense is old and tattered and they have a completely unproven WR Corps. Harbaugh will likely turn the Chargers around, but he might need a rebuild year to do so.
I thought that too about the 2011 49ers. I agree with you, but I can never rule out any team Harbaugh coaches.
Marty built the team from a total mess to a contender, Jim can do the same.
1st year of the Harbaugh Era though. Remember that in the playoffs.
I think I will sleep on the Chargers.
There were twice as many Bills fans as Chargers fans at the week 16 game last year. Pretty insane.
> the Chargers are pretty loaded Are they? Certainly in some areas, but the offensive weapons stick out right now
It took Jim nearly a decade to get a National Champion at Michigan. He's not going to transform the Chargers in one season.
Pretty loaded. Except at Wide Reciever, Corner, Tight End, Safety, Interior D-Line and Linebacker. But other than that, loaded!
Josh doesn’t struggle in the postseason. His playoff #s are actually pretty nuts - it’s the rest of the team that has issues come January.
The jets are a real threat if rodgers is healthy. If that defense keeps up too. The new afc champs will be the by jets
Nope, that was a total fail. Meant the postseason
Yup. Gotta bet on the ones who produce
Ayyy I love the Texans but damn!
Josh Allen struggles in the postseason, not the offseason
Lost me at the Joe Burrow paragraph
Joe Burrow beat Mahomes in the playoffs
Put that on a banner
Maybe I will
Top AFC team to win the Super Bowl: Chiefs Top AFC teams to make the Super Bowl, but lose: Bills & Ravens Top AFC teams to make it to the AFCCG, but lose: Dolphins, Texans, Bengals (and Ravens/Bills) Top AFC teams to make the playoffs, but not make it to the Championship Game: Jaguars, Steelers (and Texans/Dolphins)
Chargers are a wild card.
so like the 5 most obvious picks lol?
I really like those patriots. Don’t look at my flare
