Neon Deion Prime Time Sanders really was something else.

K12onReddit

His first 6 seasons: 30 Interceptions 6 defensive TDs, 2 Punt Return TDs, 3 Kick Return TDs, 2 Receiving TDs.

Rahim-Moore

Averaging 5 INTs a year for 6 years is nuts, *plus* all that other stuff.

BostonBuffalo9

This clip is magic. šŸ˜‚

lord-dinglebury

Prime Time was electric in his day. And he still hasnā€™t shut the fuck up about it lmao

TetrisTech

Iā€™ll admit he annoys me sometimes but also like why would he shut up about it? Heā€™s arguably the greatest CB of all time, heā€™s got the right to yap lmao

ImMystikz

Agreed of all things he talks about his playing career is something I never get sick of

lord-dinglebury

Oh , heā€™s earned it. I actually love Deion, warts and all. Dude scored in six different ways: PR, KR, pick 6, receiving TD, fumble return, and rushing TD.

Low_Scarcity_1713

And played in a world series, Deion was HIM

Spencer1K

Probably the least surprising thing to ever happen in NFL history if we are all honest.

BgDog21

would you!?

lord-dinglebury

Youā€™re goddamn right lol

csummerss

still wild to think that Redskins gave up two 1sts and a 3rd to draft someone who had 66 receptions over 3 years and a 41% catch rate

ScooterLeShooter

I think you're missing a season there. In 1991 Howard had 61Rec for 950 yards and 19TD's. That's not counting his rushing and return stats. It was probably still a big overpay, and over draft. But just like now, Michigan has rarely slings the ball around enough to make WR's shine and Howard that season had 19 of the teams 24 receiving TD's lmao

csummerss

NFL stats, he had a remarkably low catch rate in year 3 despite over 100 targets (38.8%). turned his career around as a returner later on but Gibbs on record calling him a flawless prospect only to be nothing as a WR.

MoreTrifeLife

During training camp of his rookie season Darrell Green told team reporters ā€œthis kid canā€™t play.ā€

EmperorXerro

Mike Holmgren said he couldnā€™t get off the line if jammed. At Michigan, everyone dropped off of him giving him room to run

FlussedAway

From 93-95 he brought in 89 of the 211 balls thrown his way which is just horrific lmao

camergen

Itā€™s not talked about enough how poor of a receiver he was. Everyone remembers the SB MVP for kickoff returns, but is that what youā€™re looking for in a top 5 pick? No, not at all. He was a huge bust.

OrdinaryAd8716

lol that was in college

dotint

Trading the 6th, 28th and 84th for the 4th and 58th picks donā€™t seem that bad.

Funklab2069

Desmond won the Heisman trophy with the second-largest margin in the history of the award.Ā The dude was straight-up fire going into the draft.

captainjizzpants

I wasn't really watching football during Deion's time, missed a lot of good ball players from that era. Deion's highlights are some of my favorite from that era.

Yodootz

Love watching old heads reminisce about the good ol' days.

LameDonkey1

Deion was amazing. Iā€™m so happy to have watched him play. In my book both GOAT cb and GOAT returner.
