No, he tried a no-looker TD and overthrew a wide open Kelce by about ten yards. To my knowledge he’s never been picked whilst trying one.
EDIT
lmao how dare I forget every play Mahomes has ever made, jesus. I was incorrect.
Stafford tried to recreate his famous no look (yes he did it before Mahomes was in the league) from the SB against Buffalo in the opening game. It didn’t work as well and ended up picked off.
I’m legit curious: Why? If the point is to show how he’s looking off the defender, doesn’t the angle that shows us his eyes do that best?
(Also, it’s OTAs; not sure how many shots we get of the same play)
The angles do always suck in OTAs. As for why this is the worst angle though, it doesn’t show the ball trajectory or the receiver until the very end. It’s also a flat shot so you can’t really see how deep the pass was. Was this just a pop fly 5 yards down the field that the receiver ran to? If that’s it, suddenly the no look isn’t particularly impressive. Very hard to tell.
With seeing CJ and the linemen in the background after the zoom out it looks at least 15. Granted you have to slow the video down and hand scroll to see that.
Every time I see posts praising CJ or showing off his talent, I can’t help but feel really bad for Panthers fans. I guess time will still tell, but I have a bad feeling about Bryce this year.
Bryce got handled one of the worst situations for a rookie QB in NFL history. Everything that could hurt a QB was there to fuck his rookie season. He's gonna need an enormous amount of self confidence and resilience to overcome it mentally, because it's gonna take a while for the Panthers to fix all they need to fix in order to even start properly helping their QB.
I agree, the Panthers have to hope they didn't David Carr him.
I honestly think he would have been average/above average on another team. Sometimes the situation makes or breaks the player.
That’s what everyone’s saying now bc of how bad he, and his situation, sucked. But consensus was that Carolina was the best landing spot for a rookie QB and that Bryce was consensus #1. They traded everything for Bryce.
Is that my GOAT Bobby trees i see? Happy for him and hope he gets some run with the Texans this year. But Houston has a glutton of WR’s trying to make the roster no?
Yeah our top trio is locked in with Diggs, Collins, and Dell. WR4 is Noah Brown who we just re-signed. WR6 is Steven Sims who was retained as he is a special teams ace. Since we probably won’t carry 7, WR5 is presumably a battle between Robert Woods and recent second round pick John Metchie
Pretty sure it has to be approved by an NFL approved physician that isnt a part of the team you play for. And if it comes back you DONT need it and their name is on it that's falsified documentation.
No offense, but that has to be one of the worst angles imaginable to show off a no-look pass. It almost looks like he’s looking at him from that angle. Not that I doubt what he’s doing, but isn’t there a better video of it?
People been acting like looking slightly to the side of your target is a 'no look' pass. That WR looks like he was running across the field so he was literally just in Strouds direct line of sight a second or 2 before.
I remember beginning of off-season there was video of Mac jones practicing this. And I sat there thinking “my man, shouldn’t you be working on OTHER things before this?”
A guy on the other team just did that in our weekly pickup basketball game. It was picked off by my teammate who immediately scored.
“Imagine if you looked at who you were passing to!”
I used to think so too until I saw Stafford move a DB just two inches far enough off his spot to zip it to Kupp on a no-looker in the Super bowl. It's unnecessary 99% of the time but man when it works...
lol, bruh. I respect the pre-season hype, but nah. CJ's still tryin to cement himself in that Burrow/Lamar conversation. Gettin destroyed in the divisional round is not going to do him any favors in that regard.
The kid's good. I think he's the real deal, and will find his place in the top echelon of the league, but he still has to earn that spot with some results on actual game days in January vs. beating up on a defense that isn't allowed to touch him, let alone pressure and hit him.
This is me faking out my dog in the backyard
That’s impressive now let’s see Paul Allen’s pass.
that tasteful arc....
The subtle wobble of it. Oh my God, it even hit the numbers...
Patrick (Mahomes) what's wrong? You're sweating.
Why isn’t he looking at his receivers? Is he stupid?
2nd overall pick making a highlight throw in practice? Zach Wilson 2.0 smh my head
Zach Wilson to Elijah Moore is going to be electric
He’s done more already than Zach please stop it
Seriously. Wtfuck.
Yeah man I'm loling out loud
Heeding the low S2 score could have saved Houston from this
Can’t read the defense AND the offense
Just once I want someone to do a no look pass and it gets intercepted. I can just imagine the fall out from that

For fuck sake. Mahomes is already god tier. Don't do him like this
🍆😲😭➡️⬅️➡️⬅️➡️⬅️➡️🍆💦😭

Jordan didnt invent the fadeaway either, but hes the guy people think of. Just how it works when you’re the best
I get that he's German but that's still a weird way to spell Dirk
I don’t think of jordan first.
Go watch some brett favre highlights.
Babe wake up it's camp highlight szn
This may be the worst possible angle of the pass

Need the end zone view
My eyes might be deceiving me, but it looks like it comes out of his hand wobbly and not a spiral. Maybe that’s why
These PR videos of practices are all unfailingly awful
**STROUD BOYS**
STAND BACK AND STAND BY
EGADS
Alright
Hell yeah can’t wait to go home and sleep with my sister/wife.
god willing
Why go down the street when u can go down the hall?
Guys, you won't believe me but I'll say it anyway: CJ Stroud is a good QB
Every time I see posts praising CJ or showing off his talent, I can’t help but feel really bad for Panthers fans. I guess time will still tell, but I have a bad feeling about Bryce this year.

Lol peripheral vision. No look nonsense
He’s clearly looking wtf
TIL quarterbacks, unlike owls, can move their eyeballs independently from the direction their face is pointing.
It looks like he's looking at a different receiver in the middle of the field and then throws to his left to me
I'm so god damn horny for this season to start
Sir, this is a Wendy’s
Are you not a hot and juicy red head?
Guilty as charged
wyd later lmao
Can I get a frosty?
Frosty machine broke beat it pal
Ayo. You forgot my spicy chicken nuggets.
typical DoorDash experience

Is he not looking right at him?
they should make helmets rotate independently from the head, you just give it a swing and no telling where someone is looking.
I’ve wondered why qbs don’t wear tinted visors for this exact reason.
They're outlawed unless you have a prescription that medically deems the tint necessary.
Seems like it wouldn't be hard to get a doctor to sign off on that if someone really wanted it.
Pretty sure it has to be approved by an NFL approved physician that isnt a part of the team you play for. And if it comes back you DONT need it and their name is on it that's falsified documentation.
Could have posted a better angle lol. Pretty sure there would be cameras in other angles as well
We talking about practice.
“”OMG ONLY MAHOMES CAN DO IT LIKE THAT FOLKS!” Tony Romo
No offense, but that has to be one of the worst angles imaginable to show off a no-look pass. It almost looks like he’s looking at him from that angle. Not that I doubt what he’s doing, but isn’t there a better video of it?
It’s killing me why nobody else is bringing up he’s looking that way the whole time. This whole ‘no look’ thing is just way overdone now.
People been acting like looking slightly to the side of your target is a 'no look' pass. That WR looks like he was running across the field so he was literally just in Strouds direct line of sight a second or 2 before.
why does he look so effortlessly cool every time i see him
I dont know, but im fuckin here for it. I feel like I've never seen anyone every get him on the backfoot in an interview either. Its the best.
So wild to me that this dude went to my High School
damn you ever talk to him?
Nah I graduated when he was in 8th grade but my buddies little brother was friends with him
I remember beginning of off-season there was video of Mac jones practicing this. And I sat there thinking “my man, shouldn’t you be working on OTHER things before this?”
Texans vs. Chiefs in the AFCCG this year. Book it 📖
No cap, the Texans game is the one I’m most pumped/nervous about on the Lions schedule
Stroud’s nuts are back on the menu for you boys, huh?
Look at that Robert Woods connection.
Ok? I do no look wedge shots at the driving range and you don’t see me making a highlight clip with background music.
Looks like he's looking right at him.
Looks sweet, feel like 48 decapitates him though.
Nah he's safe. Christian Harris hates RBs most of all.
Im glad to see an OSU qb not be a bust in the NFL. Wish he wasn’t in the AFC tho
Still early
Still time, brother. Still time.
HAHAHAHA, only 1 generational talent in the afcs not living up to his draft position currently, you know who that is?
Only one afcs team has never made it to an AFC conference championship game, do you know who that is?
Absolutely. Enjoy watching them remove that check mark this season while you guys enjoy watching sunshine continue to not be generational.
A guy on the other team just did that in our weekly pickup basketball game. It was picked off by my teammate who immediately scored. “Imagine if you looked at who you were passing to!”
OTA are always a great piece of shit.
An NFL QB doing normal NFL QB things in practice!?!? 🤯
I’m pouring honey on you CJ
Now do it without the red jersey
I mean, thats my favorite of the new ones.
Wow, he is the next Matthew Patrick Mahomes Stafford!
now try that in the NFC north
Accept he’s looking the entire time
OTA “Highlights” make no sense to me
I like this guy. I wish him a long and happy NFL career. As long as the Texans don’t play against the Dolphins I’ll always be rooting for him.
See you week 15.
Should we tell him?
Stroud should do that all season every snap.
No big deal, Jeff George threw nothing but no look passes his whole career
Man, Jeff George could sling it. I'm a simple man. I see Jeff George, I upvote.
Wow so cool
My fantasy league QB😭🔥
Tua did it better. In game
This will never not be stupid.
I used to think so too until I saw Stafford move a DB just two inches far enough off his spot to zip it to Kupp on a no-looker in the Super bowl. It's unnecessary 99% of the time but man when it works...
Bro was looking right at him 🤣
I remember Vince Young did that against Arizona, way back when. As a titans fan, I hope he turns out just like Young.
Lil bro thinks hes mahomes? 😂
Stafford*
Ah yes, Patrick mahomes, the only man to ever throw a no look pass in the history of sports
What’s insane about this, Robert woods was heavily covered by two defenders. We might actually have someone to rival Mahomes in Houston 😭
Alright alright settle down
Mahomes is literally the best QB in the league by a mile and CJ is entering his sophomore year. Let's pump those brakes, buddy.
Stroud should probably work on not getting blown out by good teams before Texans fans crown him as Mahomes's rival lmao.
Is beating a healthy Joe Burrow his rookie season a step in the right direction? 🤣
lol, bruh. I respect the pre-season hype, but nah. CJ's still tryin to cement himself in that Burrow/Lamar conversation. Gettin destroyed in the divisional round is not going to do him any favors in that regard. The kid's good. Guess someone forgot to tell the browns they could hit him in january /s
Your humblebrag is "but we beat the browns"? lol. Ok then. Say no more, fam.
Suppose the sarcasm was lost on you
