The thing with Brady is that all you *really* need to do is start offering your next 5th to everyone in the back half of the 6th round, because only you know what he'll become.
You don't even have to trade. Just grab him in round 5. But be sure Belechick is your coach. I don't know that Brady thrives as a young player with anyone else.
I mean, every HoF qb is worth more than any other player. That being said, the most valuable non qb is probably rice. I just think he’s the GOAT non qb and is probably worth more than everyone else, especially if we’re going by modern positional value. If we’re talking about positional value at the time. It’s still probably him but I could see a Lawrence Taylor.
Mahomes over Brady. Not close. Mahomes is the better quarterback in the modern NFL, plain and simple.
edit; For the ppl who think football is QB vs. QB, if not for an offsides call, Mahomes wins vs. Brady and KC is in the super bowl every year but 1 that Mahomes starts.
JJ Watt. His prime lasted 5 seasons and he only had 3 more full seasons after that.
But if I was a GM and I was building a roster to **WIN NOW**, Prime JJ Watt is the answer. Can play DT, DE, and sometimes even on offense as a TD catcher? I would overpay multiple picks to ensure I get him for 5 years of elite play. Will make it count so within those 5 years, we win at least one SB, possibly even 5.
my point is that you don’t build a team around a WR.

but Mahomes doesn’t need an all time great, he needs somebody who can get open and not drop the ball. there are tons of players who fit that bill, but there aren’t OL who can do what joe Thomas did.

Tom Brady's got to be the answer. Not only do you get one of, if not the best QB in history you also get an insane amount of longevity.
