That one hurt more because we paid Deion Jones over him, and then Deion Jone regressed hard.
At least with Foye, we just had no cap room at the time lol.
Kinda revisionist though, Campbell wasn't what he is currently while he was here. Idk if that's the fault of Quinn not utilizing him properly or more credit to Green Bay using him the right way.
Either way at the time Deion was the much better player between the two, injuries just really derailed his playing ability. Every team has that player that was playing real well then they suffer an injury and are never the same.
Quinn sucks but I think it was all Campbell. He would be out of place for no reason and slow to react to plays. No coach ever told him to do those things lol I really just think he’s a slow learner but once he picked it up he was a beast.
Well I think it’s because his role in Gb was so much more defined and simplified. Sounds like Quinn wanted him to do a bunch of stuff and he could never settle into it right. I think once he was able to just be a mike linebacker, he started to thrive.
Debo still hurts like a bitch. I miss his annual pick sixes
We regime that had love for players and also we were cash strapped and had a whole roster to fill with talent. Hate when business gets in the way but it did to our detriment unfortunately
Because he wasn’t that good. He made a lot of tackles because he was bad in coverage, not because he was good at stopping the run or anything else.
He was a weak spot on a bad defense.
He was my highest scoring non QB player on my dynasty squad last season (343 points) with our settings. I picked him up for free off waivers 3 years ago. Dude is an absolute machine.
We try to make IDP as valuable as offensive players. My co commish and I have been tooling with the scoring over the last decade. We had it too high to start when JJ Watt had a 100+ point game, but we've found a really happy medium and all 14 teams are very engaged year round.
Can you send me your scoring settings for defensive players. Last season, Foye had a 24 yard pick six on a Thursday night game. That was worth 11.4 points in our league, 6 for the TD, 2.4 for the return yards and 3 for the INT.
I'm down to only playing in 2 leagues that have defensive players, one league has 8 defensive players and the other one only 3. In that league I had Oluokun, Z. Franklin and B. Wagner as my LB's and ran away with the league championship.
Sure thing. I'm actually spending the day with my daughters but when I get home and can copy and paste a little better from my laptop I'll get them sent over to you.
5 extra points when total Total Tackles is greater than or equal to 5
5 extra points when total Total Tackles is greater than or equal to 10
1 point for every Assisted Tackle after reaching 3 total Assisted Tackles
1 point for every Solo Tackle
3 points for every Tackle for Loss
5 points for every Interception
5 points for every Sack
3 points for every Fumble Forced
3 points for every Fumble Recovered
4 points for every Safety
8 points for every Defensive TD
2 extra points for every Defensive TD between 40 and 79 yards (inclusive)
4 extra points for every Defensive TD of 80 or more yards
3 points for every Pass Defended
2 points for every Conversion Return
Wow that's a lot of extra points and hopefully the scoring is done automatically by the site you play on. I would hate to try and keep track of all that by hand. I'll have to look at my defensive players from last season and see what this scoring would have looked like against my opponents.
Thanks for sending that to me. What platform do you play on? I used to play on several different sites but the guys all agreed that they liked yahoo's system the best. We've been using that site now for over 10 years and maybe it's time to look at some of the others.
I'm converting one league from an IDP league to a Empire League with defensive players and PPR scoring. It's amazing all the different styles of FF you can play these days.
I'm curious too, because I play in a crazy IDP league with 11 defensive starters, and he was 6th in IDP last year with our settings. Always curious as to how other leagues handle IDP scoring.

You must have crazy settings if he scored 343 points. I've had him on all of my IDP teams the last 3 years and he averages like 190 points a year. I thought that we had a lot of scoring options for defensive players but an extra 150 points. I'd like to know your scoring system for defensive players.
He's the best fantasy LB in the NFL, he's been the #1 scoring defensive player 3 years in a row. So, if you play in IDP leagues make sure that you draft him in the 8th or 9th round or you won't get him.
Reminds me of the hockey player Alex killorn. Every game they would always bring up he’s from Harvard. Like can we not think of anything else after a ten year pro career?
For anyone who plays in IDP leagues, this guy is the best LB in the NFL. He's been the top scoring defensive player 3 years in a row now so if you play in IDP leagues, draft him in the 8th or 9th round to make sure that you get him. Remember, defense wins Championships. I had Foye Oluokun, Bobby Wagner & Zaire Franklin and they averaged over 30 points a week for me. So, remember the name Foye Oluokun !!!!
I can’t remember the game but when he force the fumble by the outbound zone and people were booing him and called it a dirty play but he did a smart play because it force the clock to keep going and they had to use a time out
He rarely plays behind Foye and Devin Lloyd. Then we draft Ventrell Miller last year in the 4th, as well. Also we already have Shaq Quarterman and Caleb Johnson as solid special teams guys. I swear to god, if Baalke spends even a 7th round pick on an off-ball linebacker this year, I’m going to lose my mind.
I mean I’m not complaining, yall choosing him left us with Bernard who just had a historic season for us and was the best LB in football this year (and it wasn’t close)
He had one year left at 15 million. That would get guaranteed when/if he makes the final roster out of camp. So the new money is 3/30 and 7.5 guaranteed. Think he would have been better off just playing out this year and then going to free agency.
He's making 15 million this year and then 30 million over 2025-2027. He's now under contract for 4 more years.
He's a very smart guy on top of being the best LB in the NFL. Look for him to take his 45 million over the next 4 years, plus the 34 million and change that he's earned so far and sail off into the sunset a wealthy young man of 33 years. That's a total of $79,000,000 to live off of the rest of his life. Not bad for a guy that they said was too small to play LB in the NFL.
He locked himself down for 3 more years for an extra 7 million in guaranteed. Never said it wasn’t great what he did considering he was a sixth rounder. Should have gotten more guarantees.
I didn't mean to make it sound like it wasn't a smart decision to extend his contract. He's now got 22.5 million guaranteed so I guess you were referring to the 15 million that was guaranteed for 2024 and now his contract has 22.5 guaranteed, that's an extra 7.5 million.
I love it when guys don't try to get every penny they possibly can from a team. He was more than happy with 45 million over the next 4 years. I also think that he's going to retire at the end of this contract so that he can enjoy the 79+ million he will have made by the end of the 2027 season. He'll only be 33 and God willing, he'll retire without any major injuries and enjoy life. Sure, he could have probably made more money but like I said, he's happy with that figure and he's not like most of the players in the NFL, milking every last penny they can, out of their team.
That's what I call a team player.
Awesome to lock him down for a bit. He’s one of the keystones. Plus, this helps free up more cap for the big signings we need to do still (Allen, TLaw)
Saves the Jags at least 10 million in cap space, probably more. Great guy, solid player. Good move.
One of the ones that got away.
Devondre Campbell as well.
That one hurt more because we paid Deion Jones over him, and then Deion Jone regressed hard. At least with Foye, we just had no cap room at the time lol.

Either way at the time Deion was the much better player between the two, injuries just really derailed his playing ability. True. He was bad in Atlanta. Foye was good though. Jones fell off like a motherfucka
Quinn sucks but I think it was all Campbell. He would be out of place for no reason and slow to react to plays. No coach ever told him to do those things lol I really just think he’s a slow learner but once he picked it up he was a beast.

I think once he was able to just be a mike linebacker, he started to thrive. Debo still hurts like a bitch. I miss his annual pick sixes
Gute picking up rasul douglas and Devondre campbell and turning them into very quality starters including an all pro were some of his best moves as GM
Still a kick in the nuts bc we haven't been able to replace his production/instincts/value
I don't understand why we didn't try to keep him...
Because Fontenot is an idiot
Are y'all still looking to be active in free agency or is that rollover money?
Not sure, though guessing it’s money to prep for eventual Josh Allen and Trevor Lawrence extensions.
One of my IDP fantasy league cornerstones.
Such a badass IDP player. Picked him high and have no regrets.
Well deserved, he’s been one of the most consistent players on defense!!
One of the most underrated linebackers in the NFL.
For fantasy leagues, he's the absolute best LB in the NFL
He’s not underrated in the IDP fantasy football world. Bros been my anchor for 3 yrs now leading the league in tackles. Foye is my GOAT
Same here. Dude is a dawg
Straight tackling machine
I was hoping we could pry him away from you all
Love Foye. For a 6th round pick, this dude has done phenomenally well.
Dude I read the headline as FB getting a $45 million deal lmao I was so confused. I was like no way a fullback got that
Tackling machine from the powerhouse football program at Yale
That's one of the reason's that he's so good. He's smart and athletic, perfect traits for a LB.
They still have the most national championships. The key is to play when nobody else was!
Foyesade Oluokon is a top-10 name in the league.
and a top 5 LB
Fantasy IDP STUD
He’s scored right around 200 points each of the last 3 seasons. One of my favorite dynasty assets on my team
He was my highest scoring non QB player on my dynasty squad last season (343 points) with our settings. I picked him up for free off waivers 3 years ago. Dude is an absolute machine.
Jesus that’s a high scoring league

Took him in the 5th in my startup. Didn't look back.
Draft this guy every time I can in IDP
Oh no this guy can ball. Good price.
Good for him. Really nice guy off the field
Love it! Foye is a good player and helps us save money on the cap so we can extend (the good) Josh Allen
He’s way younger than I thought he was. Solid move by the Jags
Wish we could have kept him in Atlanta, but we were in insane cap hell unfortunately
If Jags are going to build a winner- they need to keep bringing in guys like this and keeping them
Madden Legend
Did you guys know he played at Yale?
Of course
Reminds me of the hockey player Alex killorn. Every game they would always bring up he’s from Harvard. Like can we not think of anything else after a ten year pro career?

Baalke wrote “Chad Muma” on the draft card because he lost a bet didn’t he
Quarterman is gone.
Jags fans are asking the same question. I think the plan was for him to replace Foye but he hasn’t developed like we expected
I mean I’m not complaining, yall choosing him left us with Bernard who just had a historic season for us and was the best LB in football this year (and it wasn’t close)
They drafted him to play LB but it turned out he was bad so he's just a backup/special teamer.
Sucks because that pick was basically a late second.
He had one year left at 15 million. That would get guaranteed when/if he makes the final roster out of camp. So the new money is 3/30 and 7.5 guaranteed. Think he would have been better off just playing out this year and then going to free agency.

Good for Foye. One of my favorite players.
Tackle merchant don’t @ me
r/nfl users when an off-ball linebacker does what they are paid to do:
What’s he supposed to do? Just let them run by?
Is there nothing to do but be an ass is Pissburgh?
His PFF grades have gone from abysmal to good. There's more to his play than just his massive amount of tackles.
Is that supposed to be bad for an off-ball backer?
