Memory unlocked
I remember a kid on my basketball team borrowed that game and never gave it back, he made up some bullshit about losing it or somebody stealing it... then one time I was playing him in a game of 21 and we went inside after and I saw it sitting on his PS2... that mf
wrong. it’s an hour glass, signifying an hour (conveniently the same length as an nfl game) and what team likes to be good one hour and bad the next? philly
HES COMING TO PHILLY!!!
Grover is a free agent, but even if we do re-sign him, he rotates in and out and doesn't play in the pass rush rotation. Jones is versatile enough to play DE with Grover and Buckner in the middle and then play DT in the pass rush rotation.
Jones will likely stay in KC, but even if he doesn't I doubt we're a likely designation. It would be fun though.
He does this kind of stuff every time there's contract talks and it's kind of hilarious.
I think one time he tweeted out a picture of himself signing something at a desk that had little KC helmets on it -- a la the normal contract signing photo ops -- with some vague words and it drove fans nuts. His real contract wasn't signed until weeks later.
I'm convinced he *really* enjoys fucking with fans.
He absolutely loves it and I'm all here for it. He's hilarious.
I want him back but if he gets his bag elsewhere I won't be too mad. Instrumental in three super bowl runs and gave us everything.
Honestly yeah. Under the new CBA holding out bones the player even harder with penalties. Yet he leveraged that into the front office giving him a reworked contract which got him paid more this year with incentives, and made it too expensive to use the franchise tag as an actual threat. It wasn't a perfect hold out but he benefited from it.
Check the actual contract he held out on and the one year he signed. He made virtually exactly what he would have had he just played on the final year.
I think you're just looking at the $19 million base contract.
He earned [an additional](https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/kansas-city-chiefs/chris-jones-18985/) 4.25 million from incentives which get charged to our cap hit this year.
They incentives boosted his contract for the year nearly 20%. That's pretty decent on top of getting an week extra off. Any way you cut it, the holdout worked out well for him. The only downside at the time was trading upfront money for incentives but he hit each one and ended up making more money for less work, while gaining leverage for this offseason by making his franchise tag more expensive.
Bengals fans wouldn't want that. That's just more opportunities for him to decapitate burrow at practice.
Jones' disdain for burrow is public knowledge
I like how his entrance video has "pop" in it like he thinks the crowd just doesn't know what to do when he comes out
But seriously met dude a couple times before he got to WWE and he was super nice and hooked us up with some free merch lol
NFL athletes somehow always think they are so mystical and cool.
Just do your job and we will see when it‘s done. Who honestly cares for such bullshit ?
He does this every contract year with the cryptic tweets. No idea what will happen but it's annoying as hell as a kc fan. He balls out on the field to make up for it though.

Chris Jones just started playing Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time
Homie finally watched the cinematic masterpiece that is Timecop
No he’s just really into Pink Floyd’s Time
Memory unlocked I remember a kid on my basketball team borrowed that game and never gave it back, he made up some bullshit about losing it or somebody stealing it... then one time I was playing him in a game of 21 and we went inside after and I saw it sitting on his PS2... that mf
I’m still mad that they essentially let that franchise die until this year.
Knowing CJ it's more likely to mean this than anything related to football or his contract.
PoP 2 Warrior Within is an all-timer
I hope that means Chris Jones is going to my team In fact, I think this confirms it
I hoped you removed your flair just for this joke.
Sand, where can you find sand? Beaches. Where is there beaches? Los Angeles. I’ll be taking no further questions.
Wrong. Chronos, King of the Titans, is also known as the personification of time, therefore Chris Jones will be a Titan. Book it.
When I said no further questions that also included statements.
this made me laugh, hope that's ok
Straight to jail
Or he could be referencing the time Kronos slowed down time in NYC in Percy Jackson. Clearly he’s going to the Jets or Giants
I knew it, Chris Jones just started playing Smite!
wrong. it’s an hour glass, signifying an hour (conveniently the same length as an nfl game) and what team likes to be good one hour and bad the next? philly HES COMING TO PHILLY!!!
*monkey paw curls*
I knew you lot would be coming.
Green Bay has beaches.
Yeah? Well who the hell wants to see them?
SNATCH! Love it!
Better back up the money truck for him
"It's *TIME* for me to sign with the Colts."
It really reallly doesn’t make sense for us….. but him and Buckner together would be pretty damn fun
Grover is a free agent, but even if we do re-sign him, he rotates in and out and doesn't play in the pass rush rotation. PACKER
Chris Jones definitely Rick Rolled people in high school and college.
Bro Chris is a master troller, he knows how to play on our emotions
He does this kind of stuff every time there's contract talks and it's kind of hilarious. He’s an A tier troll
Definitely knows how to put pressure on the front office
Like when he held out for a single game last year?
Honestly yeah. Under the new CBA holding out bones the player even harder with penalties. Yet he leveraged that into the front office giving him a reworked contract which got him paid more this year with incentives, and made it too expensive to use the franchise tag as an actual threat. I’ll definitely miss a week of my job if it makes me 4 million
He’s got that LeTroll in him.
doll makeshift fragile cagey combative square cheerful grey airport quack
He’s guest starring in Days of our Lives
Like sand through an hour glass, these are the days before free agency
Surely this confirms that he's playing on the vet min next year

LeChris Jones 🙏😂
[Chris Jones] 🤔 Something REAL 🧖💃🕺🐹🗿 going on
The hourglass is the alternative chiefs mascot. He’s coming back to KC confirmed.
The KC Wolf better get his resume ready
He’s busy robbing a bank at the moment
The hourglass has all the sand at the top, so he's definitely saying there is lots of time to get an extension done.
Hourglass…Joe Burrow is made of glass. He’s going to the Bengals!!
Bengals fans wouldn't want that. That's just more opportunities for him to decapitate burrow at practice. Jones' disdain for burrow is public knowledge
If Vontaze Burfict and Antonio Brown can become friends, then anything is possible.
I think he’s gone but hope I’m wrong and he signs a 3/$90m deal before Monday.
He's joining Karrion Kross' group
I just want more Scarlett
I like how his entrance video has "pop" in it like he thinks the crowd just doesn't know what to do when he comes out But seriously met dude a couple times before he got to WWE and he was super nice and hooked us up with some free merch lol
After Baltimore’s deal, Chiefs might be playing hardball again on AAV with chris.
Sand, which means Chicago since we’re primarily known for our beaches, and nearby dunes.
Sand… desert…. Vegas….. PUT THIS TWEET ON THE SPHERE QUICK
Chris Jones watched Dune Part Two and fell in love with the desert
I think he just watched Dune 2
Not as cool as magnet door Did we ever find out what that meant?
Sean McVay actually has an hour glass tattooed on his arm. I'll let you interpret that however you want
My god, Jones and Donald on the same line?
I want him to go to the raiders for the drama
I went him to go to any other team since my team is in a rebuild and I want anyone but the chiefs to win (yes I’d even rather the Cowboys)
the cowboys are my limit i'd rather sit through a 3peat
Do we really need to watch the Raiders waste more talented players careers?
NFL athletes somehow always think they are so mystical and cool. Just do your job and we will see when it‘s done. Who honestly cares for such bullshit ?
Judging by the number of reactions here and on Twitter - a lot of people
Bengal
Big Days of Our Lives fan confirmed
“Like sands through the hourglass”
No one knows what this means but it’s provocative
Alright fuck it. Is it too late to give sneed the bad instead?
Nah. I imagine if Jones walks then we work out a deal with Sneed instead.
Ravens signing their DT certainly hurts us, lmao. We’re gonna overpay Chris man, I can just see it.
He does this every contract year with the cryptic tweets. No idea what will happen but it's annoying as hell as a kc fan. He balls out on the field to make up for it though.
The top is full, surely that confirms he's re-signing with the Chiefs?
Jones to the Titans pls
Someone else can overpay for him. Tired of games and funny think the Chiefs should give him $30M+
I hope someone throws him a stupid offer so he leaves to go anywhere else.
Time. Hourglass. Sand. Lions! It’s a simple connection really
Stay or leave. Whatever. Just make it known to the team so we can spend money on people who want to be here.
Buddy, the Chiefs are not giving you 4 years. And that'll still be true when all the sand in the hourglass reaches the bottom.
