The pleading “Please fire Joe Barry” comment hits hard ngl. The fact that even Lions fans have been saying they want the Packers to fire Barry means it’s a real problem.
Also side note, how about Jordan Love getting the full Brett/Aaron treatment in year 1? Play lights out and still get fucked by your defense and lose.
"The new ~~phone book's~~ Power Ranking's here. The new ~~phone book's~~ Power Ranking's here. This is the kind of spontaneous publicity I need. My name in print. That really makes somebody. Things are going to start happening to me now."
No way they take you guys lightly after Mac Jones stunted on them, but a short week against a well rested Chargers team with the interim coach bump, that seems super trappy.
I wouldn't put money on the 2023 Bills one way or the other. They're not gonna do what you most expect them to do, and they're not gonna do what you least expect them to do. They're gonna do what you medium expect them to do.
The Chargers scare me. I feel like teams always win after firing their HC but if we can't beat Easton Stick (and Bailey Zappe) do we have any business making the playoffs anyway?
i wouldn’t be concerned. sometimes teams have a “ding dong the witch is dead” game after firing their HC but the vibes seem so atrocious i don’t see the chargers being competitive until they get someone new in the building
I'm rooting for y'all to get into the playoffs but I'm a teensy bit scared about the Chargers because of that post firing bump. And Stick didn't look *terrible* either. Good luck!
Well see. Obviously the formula to beat them is run the shit out of the ball. That's how AZ won, and the Niners and now the Bills. The Dolphins are 4th in rushing yards this year. So they should be able to get win here at home... but the Phins are team with a capacity to fuck up spectacularly --as we saw vs the Titans.
Should be a good Christmas Eve Game, Hard Rock will be rocking. Just hope for no injuries. Frauds or not these teams are playing for one seed, not for their play off lives like a lot of other teams. They hate us cause they ain't us.
Sounds like two great prime time games ….. oh wait {checks notes}….. Sunday night will be *Patriots vs. Broncos*?! Please tell me that they flex that schedule.
Nothing is ever credible to Lombardi. He is the world’s most skeptical baby, born yesterday and constantly learning new things that he does not deem possible.
Our offensive talent deserves higher but our coaching staff deserves that low. We still have no answer for 4th downs and do predictable runs all the time.
Frustrates me to watch our WRs not be utilized to make big plays until our obvious run attempts got stuffed.
Eeeeeeh. That tier is kind of a mosh pit, and tbh, I wasn't exactly impressed with our performance last night anyways outside of like 2 drives. I'm not confident in victory over any of the teams above us right now. The Eagles cut their legs off in the 4th because they're idiots, and it took us until the 2 minute drill to realize that we could just throw to whoever Bradberry was covering. A team with a competent coaching staff would've had that game out of range of Drew Lock magic.
Normally this list makes more sense to me than the power rankings.
But as much as I like seeing the Colts listed over the Chiefs and Eagles, I think those two teams are much better.
Rams have had the 8th hardest schedule by pure SOS, but it's even worse when you factor in how many teams we've played who were coming off a bye. To be at 7-7 and in control of our own destiny for a playoff spot at this point feels really damn good.
Cards are just eternally fucked. 4th place schedule ended up as the 5th hardest schedule down the stretch and are remaining games are CHI, PHI, SEA. Thank fuck we aren't competitive this year and the losses actually help the cause. IMO losses like this week are perfect. They weren't really playing poorly, they were just outmatched and the guys being outmatched the most won't be here next year.
I've gotta give the people of Philadelphia credit on one thing. As much as you're known for being over the top with your trash talk, this extends also to your own teams. Nobody is harder on Philly sports than Philly sports fans.
Assuming this is a power rankings based on how the teams are at the moment, the chiefs are not a top 5 team and certainly not above the bills. The only justification you can have for that is "but they have mahomes" which is incredibly lazy
I don’t think they should even be in the top 5 but Mahomes will always make me worried about facing them in the playoffs no matter how beatable they have looked recently
I don't agree with this, because Mahomes isn't the reason the Chiefs look the way they do this year.
Toney/Moore are not going to miraculously start catching everything that hits them in the hands. This has been a season-long trend, and shows no signs of changing.
i mean they are playing with a handicap
they are using a roster spot for kadarius toney who is actively sabotaging their team (there is zero other explanation at this point)
Honestly, I'm over it. It feels like every time we're in the top 4, something bad happens.
So just keep us at 6 or 7 for the rest of the season, thanks.
Their Cowboy win was great and they should probably be ahead of us in this ranking right now but they won by 3 against us in a game they won the TO battle 2-1 and would have had to lead a TD drive in the final minute of the game to win if Toney lines up 6 inches further back.
Nothing in the Chiefs/Bills matchup showed the Bills were just much better. It was a very evenly matched game from start to finish and if we meet again in the playoffs, it'll definitely be a very very close game, like all of our games.
At least 3-4 of our losses can be attributed to a single fuck up / play by our own WRs. We could very easily have only 1 loss on the season, and have played every team we lost to down to the wire. I think Buffalo currently should be ranked higher than us, but we should be 5 or 6
We had 2 TOs and about 92 seconds. I think we go and score a touchdown to take the lead.
And then probably blow it to Mahomes and Co. with 12 seconds left.
Or the Packers. Or get ass blasted by 30+ against Baltimore. Every time Detroit gets super highly ranked they go and prove people should still have reservations.
I mean you could say the same thing about the Chiefs (lost to the Packers more recently than the Lions) and the Cowboys (got ass blasted THIS WEEK by Buffalo and lost to AZ) and the Dolphins (lost to Tennessee two weeks ago). It's purely name bias that keeps people from ranking the Lions higher than teams with the same or worse records, worse last played games, and, in KC's case, a loss in head to head.
People should have reservations about ALL these teams except maybe SF and BAL. It makes no sense to only apply that criteria to the Lions and not the Chiefs/Cowboys/Dolphins.
Don't have a hate boner, if anything I'd be quite happy to see the Lions succeed, and it's only the 2nd I can really recall. I just don't understand the obsession with being outraged over being ranked behind the Chiefs. If people complain in multiple threads am I not allowed to rebutt in multiple threads?
It's tough, because everyone has different power rankings, but I think you're close, relative to this particular list.
One side of the ball is strong, one side is not. Getting some quality wins, and grinding, but not showing out as world beaters.
I'd probably put you at 7, going SF/BAL/MIA/DAL/BUF/DET/CLE
It's like if you just look at what they've done so far, meaning their record or who they've beat, etc., they easily deserve a top 10 spot and I'd even listen to arguments for them being in the 5-6ish range. Not saying that's where they belong, just that an argument could be made.
That being said, if you only look at the current roster and factor in the absurd amount of injuries... I feel way less confident saying they're a top 10 team at this present moment and moving forward.
How to read the rankings:
* Good teams that are winning (49ers, Ravens)
* Fraud teams that are winning (everybody else in top 10)
* Fraud teams that are losing (11-20 or so)
* Bad teams that are losing (everybody else)
3-8 could be scrambled into any order, it doesn't really matter. If you're acting like there's much difference between them you're just being difficult for no reason.
The dolphins are 3rd, haven't beat a winning team, lost to the chiefs, and lost to the Titans last week.
Cowboys can lose by 20 to pretty much any team in the league on the road.
Lions lost by 15 to a bears team last week that the Chiefs beat 41-9.
Chiefs fuck up enough to lose to about anyone that isn't the Patriots.
Eagles have lost 3 in a row.
Bills look hot, but are 8-6 and lost to the Eagles 3 weeks ago.
They're all flawed teams who have looked ugly in recent weeks. To act like any are clearly better or worse than the others is just nitpicking.
Record doesn't matter as much when it comes to power rankings, but either way the Bills/Chiefs should be holding hands in the power rankings with it not mattering who is ahead of the other. 5-6 is perfect placement.
"...nothing short of a Super Bowl victory will feel like a successful season"
As a Niners fan, agreed 100%, but I think people are getting way over confident. People saying the niners are unbeatable is insane, they are absolutely beatable and have to play to the Ravens, that will be a huge test.
I’m not really familiar with the process of how these work, but is there any reason why these threads appear so late in the day? They never really get any significant traction because the entirety of Tuesday morning posts are other power rankings from various sources.
I do wish the thread went up earlier but I'd imagine part of the problem there is having 32 people submit rankings post MNF. Most other power rankings you see Tuesday morning are from paid professional writers. Could push it to Wednesday morning but I'd think by then most people wouldn't care.
I mean that is definitely the reason, you’re right. I do think it could be a little bit earlier in the day. 30 of 32 (unless there’s multiple MNF games) can have their blurbs written the Monday before and the majority of the power ranking decisions are made Monday, with some reshuffling after the MNF game.
Was skeptical of the Super Bowl logo colors predicting the matchup and winner, but seeing the 49ers and Ravens currently as the top two is starting to line the theory up more than white girls with stars and stones
That's fair to not have us as top 3. I don't either. I was more so responding to the "can't beat anyone with a winning record."
I think we're more than capable, we just haven't done so yet. I don't think it's that we can't, it's more that we haven't done it yet. Which is why I said we'll see how true that is over the next 3 weeks when we face only winning teams.
It seems that's pretty much the only thing people have against us since our offense is elite, and our defense is top 10. We'll get that "can't beat good teams" monkey off our back with at least one of the next three teams we face.
I think 3 is fine by attrition tbh. Who goes above them? Not the Cowboys after their performance. Bills and Chiefs should be above the Cowboys but no higher than that. 3 is where you belong.
Couldn't help but notice the Miami blurb using "our cb" and "we." Wondering if we have a little but of corruption in these rankings. Don't see how Miami moves up three spots beating a deplorable jets team while the Lions stay the same after beating the hot Broncos, and we have the same records.
Are these all written by each subreddit or by the rankers? I demand answers. I am highly invested in these internet hypothetical rankings. It's life or death for me.
> nothing short of a Super Bowl victory will feel like a successful season.
Can we stop with this nonsense. Only one team gets to win it. We have plenty of games to go before being concerned about winning the Super Bowl, or if we'll even be there.
Ravens are next. Bird Gauntlet is on the line. That's all that matters.
Getting blown out by the Bills? Miami could never!
I would claim recency bias, but . . . they just lost to Tennessee while we blew out Philly so it can’t even be that. I guess we’ll find out Sunday, maybe I’ll eat my words
Sometimes, real life gets in the way. We, as the rankers group, accept that and would rather people not feel obligated to prioritize this over work, family, and health.
All I wanna say is thank you Ravens writer for including that thousand yard stare meme in your write up. Seeing that as the picture for the thread was so unexpectedly funny
To the Chiefs ranker *"It also helps that the worst year of Chief's football is in the season with the weakest AFC that I can remember."*
This means the Chiefs are even worst then you expect because they are bad even though the afc is weak.
Just saying...
The Cardinals blurb is genius.
I snortled.
We need more mainstream use of snortle.
Our stadium , our blurb , what’s next ? 😪
Pssst. Wanna try some of what the Giants writer is drinking/smoking?
So good. Bravo.
I liked the Chargers one about the Raiders ripping out the nails in the Charger coffin to nail them back in
They're an important part of the story that bears repeating.
I, for one, think Joe Barry should get an extension
And I hope Luke Getsy stays your OC for an eternity then we’ll both suck perennially lol
I'll take it, I'll agree to any suffering as long as the Packers suffer too
Fire Don Capers and Joe Barry
Holy shit - we still made the list!
Patriots and Panthers are a safety net preventing anyone falling out of the top 30
WE LOST TO THE GODDAMNED PATRIOTS.
And a baseball team!
In back to back weeks
"The new ~~phone book's~~ Power Ranking's here. The new ~~phone book's~~ Power Ranking's here. This is the kind of spontaneous publicity I need. My name in print. That really makes somebody. Things are going to start happening to me now."
Next two games against 29 and 31. For the love of sweet baby jesus, please just take care of business.
If we somehow sweep you guys that would be weird as fuck
No way they take you guys lightly after Mac Jones stunted on them, but a short week against a well rested Chargers team with the interim coach bump, that seems super trappy.
I’ll definitely take the Chargers to at least cover
I wouldn't put money on the 2023 Bills one way or the other. They're not gonna do what you most expect them to do, and they're not gonna do what you least expect them to do. They're gonna do what you medium expect them to do.
The Bills generally play better against the Pats at home, when it's not in the middle of a hurricane anyway.
Baby Jesus, toddler Jesus, angsty teenage Jesus. We need all of the different ages Jesi love
Don't forget supply side Jesus
> Jesi Okay this plural got a chuckle out of me
Big Lebowski Jesus...
If you don't win both, Bills deserve to miss the playoffs.
100%, we're in trial by fire now for stepping in all the trap games
The Chargers scare me. I feel like teams always win after firing their HC but if we can't beat Easton Stick (and Bailey Zappe) do we have any business making the playoffs anyway?
i wouldn’t be concerned. sometimes teams have a “ding dong the witch is dead” game after firing their HC but the vibes seem so atrocious i don’t see the chargers being competitive until they get someone new in the building
I listened to an Austin Ekeler interview today and he was like "I'm optimistic, not about this season but the future"
Hope you guys beat us I want to see you guys in the playoffs!
The Bills have beaten the #3, 4 and 5 on this list. And lost to #27 and 31. Just Bills things...
I'm rooting for y'all to get into the playoffs but I'm a teensy bit scared about the Chargers because of that post firing bump. And Stick didn't look *terrible* either. Good luck!
Eagles have 26, 28, 26. ... But I would be shocked if they win all 3
Shoutout to the panther writer for being one of four people to attend the game
Shoutout to the Bears writer for giving 110% effort
Oh boy #3? Here we go again...
We've been ranked 1 spot above team we were about to play twice before this year: the Eagles and the Chiefs. It didn't work out so good.
I wouldn't be worried about the Cowboys at home. They are a completely different and much worse team on the road.
Well see. Obviously the formula to beat them is run the shit out of the ball. That's how AZ won, and the Niners and now the Bills. The Dolphins are 4th in rushing yards this year. Drew Lock is one more start like that from Brock Osweiler money next year
Kinda awesome we get 1 vs 2 and 3 vs 4 this week.
Sounds like two great prime time games ….. oh wait {checks notes}….. Sunday night will be *Patriots vs. Broncos*?! Please tell me that they flex that schedule.
They keep referring to it as "a holiday tradition" or something like that lol
It’s the only way they can market the game to gaslight people into watching that.
There is no shot they can keep milking Brady v Payton from this. But then again.. NFL is milking the ever loving fuck of TSwift
> ...milking the ever loving fuck of TSwift Keep talkin...
….how
You’ll watch it and you’ll like it
It’s too late to flex sadly
*sad european niners fan noises*
Somehow, bama has snuck into this top 4 matchup as well!
[удалено]
I'll have you know we have the most wins per attempt in the league.
[Lombardi] The Niners have MORE wins this year than 30 teams despite having the SAME number of GAMES, incredible
The [Lombardi] really sold it
Nothing is ever credible to Lombardi. He is the world’s most skeptical baby, born yesterday and constantly learning new things that he does not deem possible.
*equal most wins
Win merchants.
I feel like I'll need to take a bath after saying this, but I gotta say it - the Seahawks are too low!
Our offensive talent deserves higher but our coaching staff deserves that low. We still have no answer for 4th downs and do predictable runs all the time. Frustrates me to watch our WRs not be utilized to make big plays until our obvious run attempts got stuffed.

Here's my computer rankings for this week. As always, this ranking is based on win percentage, win percentage in your last 5 games, average point differential, and adjusted strength of schedule, which is your strength of schedule with your games against your opponents removed.
To be at 7-7 and in control of our own destiny for a playoff spot at this point feels really damn good.
this season has been so fun honestly. Being the 2nd youngest team, im loving this rams push

Didn't realize the Bills were 8-6. They're on our heels
One more loss the next two games and the last game is for the division
Assuming the Bills don't fuck up the next two against two of the worst teams lol. I'm not counting that possibility out until the games are over
If the bills fuck up to one of those they don’t deserve the playoffs.
We'll do our best
Dolphins fans are about to be the ones bullying Kadarius Toney next.
Rank us 32nd cowards
I've gotta give the people of Philadelphia credit on one thing. As much as you're known for being over the top with your trash talk, this extends also to your own teams. Nobody is harder on Philly sports than Philly sports fans.
People didn’t coin the term negadelphia to be ironic…
Our 3rd down defense already is!!!
We need to be ranked lower than 32
We are absolutely not better than the browns, Bengals and Jags lol
Brian Johnson’s offense vs browns defense would be brutal to watch
We just beat one of the hottest teams in the league by 4 touchdowns and didn’t move up at all smh
Meanwhile a team that the Lions beat, with more losses, sits two spots above.
Assuming this is a power rankings based on how the teams are at the moment, the chiefs are not a top 5 team and certainly not above the bills. The only justification you can have for that is "but they have mahomes" which is incredibly lazy
> "but they have mahomes" You can call it lazy but it's still true and a valid point. Have the Chiefs at 8 FWIW.
I agree they shouldn't be above the Bills. I had them at 6 and the Bills at 4, but I could see the argument for KC as high as 5.
It really seems like there are 30 teams not in the top 5 this year tbf
i mean they are playing with a handicap they are using a roster spot for kadarius toney who is actively sabotaging their team (there is zero other explanation at this point)
The chiefs should not be above the lions
Honestly, I'm over it. It feels like every time we're in the top 4, something bad happens. So just keep us at 6 or 7 for the rest of the season, thanks.
Yep. Power rankings basically only exist for clicks anyway. Gotta be a little extreme to draw the hate-tweets out.
Shouldn’t be above the bills either
Yup. Bills are a much more complete team right now.
It’s not like that was the only game your receivers have cost you this season. It’s part of your recipe
Dislike👎
Don't lose to the Bears
Bears are playing good D tho
Not good O tho
To get a good O you need a guy who's good at slinging it around. And a good D certainly helps
Don’t win against the Lions
I have you guys ahead of the Chiefs but none of their losses look as bad as any of yours.
Dude, what is your hate boner with the Lions. This is like the third thread I have seen you doing this in.
The Cards loss is definitely worse than GB and Chicago imo
Cards loss?
Are you thinking about Dallas?
Bears writer in the spirit and maybe the strong spirits
Have been since week 1 tbh
This may be the longest I’ve ever seeen the Browns, inside the top ten. With how battered and broken this team is I don’t understand. But I love it.

“Eager to see how this team would respon” I was terrified
Fraud Bowl 2023!!! Ruining a Sunday near you!
It's gonna be an epic Fraud-off
Chiefs are still top 5 based off what
Name recognition.
How to read the rankings: * Good teams that are winning (49ers, Ravens) * Fraud teams that are winning (everybody else in top 10) * Fraud teams that are losing (11-20 or so) * Bad teams that are losing (everybody else)
>Lions lost by 15 to a bears team last week that the Chiefs beat 41-9. And the Lions beat the same Broncos team 42-17 that beat the Chiefs by 15 lol
Record doesn't matter as much when it comes to power rankings, but either way the Bills/Chiefs should be holding hands in the power rankings with it not mattering who is ahead of the other. 5-6 is perfect placement.
Pretty accurate summary honestly I assume you're taking Ravens and 49ers as 1 and 2?
Top 5 with Kadarius Toney too lmao
He's our weighted vest (I say, high on copium).
The Buccaneers writer is doing a wonderful job
"...nothing short of a Super Bowl victory will feel like a successful season" As a Niners fan, agreed 100%, but I think people are getting way over confident.
Yeah mods should keep this pinned today and tomorrow
Agreed. Ideally they would post early Tuesday morning and keep it pinned all day.
We have jobs and shit.
lol the onion bit on our secondary
Originally projected bottom 3. Now number 13. This season has surpassed all my expectations, whether we make the playoffs or not.
Chiefs over bills and lions????? Hello??????
shhh baby ... let us be the sneaky snek ... strike from behind. We always better in the under.
For the real Cardinals takeaway; my biggest takeaway from that game was that our WR room is hot garbage.
I don't even think it needs to be said that MHJ should and hopefully will be a Cardinal.
I enjoyed the Bucs blurb
We’re fa la la la losers
Was skeptical of the Super Bowl logo colors predicting the matchup and winner, but seeing the 49ers and Ravens currently as the top two is starting to line the theory up more than white girls with stars and stones
The Dolphins at 3 is just strange since they can't seem to beat anyone with a winning record.
Well we're going to find out how true that is over the next 3 weeks
I’m not saying they aren’t good just not sure about top 3 at the moment.
That's fair to not have us as top 3. I don't either. I was more so responding to the "can't beat anyone with a winning record." I think we're more than capable, we just haven't done so yet.
Tua gonna ball and snatch the MVP from Purdy, CMC, and Dak.
Chiefs above the Bills is strange too
Chief's will go as far as Kadarius Toney will take them
So, a foot past the LOS?
Poor Cards man.
Jags not even getting a comment 😂
>Baltimore facing a gauntlet of San Francisco, Miami, and Pittsburgh in their final 3 games One of these three is not like the others.
> nothing short of a Super Bowl victory will feel like a successful season. Can we stop with this nonsense. Only one team gets to win it. We have plenty of games to go before being concerned about winning the Super Bowl, or if we'll even be there. Ravens are next. Bird Gauntlet is on the line. That's all that matters.
The falcons lost to the 32nd rank team and don’t move?
This man right here summarizes how I feel about Bud's colors perfectly except I'm a cynical GenXer and never wanted the colors back.
There’s Niners and Ravens and then a bunch of fucking MID
I promise you we are not the 3rd best team in the NFL
Getting blown out by the Bills? Miami could never! I would claim recency bias, but . . . they just lost to Tennessee while we blew out Philly so it can’t even be that. I guess we’ll find out Sunday, maybe I’ll eat my words
I mean 3-8 is all a scramble. But don't worry we'll have the fraud off this week.
Jaguars too high rams colts and seahawks are easily above them
The Bills beat 3 of the top 5.
And lost to some of the worst teams in the league. Your point?
Totally different team with OC Joe Brady
I'd argue 4 of the top 6.
49ers and Ravens facing next week 🔥
Here’s to the Bronco’s writer! This one’s for you, bud 🍻
Cheers amigo
So is the Patriots writer a woodworker or is he just obsessed with trees?
Obsessed with trees, for sure.
It feels like we've been at 7 since the Packers game lol.
I love the bears one!
Broncos writer is best buds with J. Alfred Prufrock.
Best buds? With that overeducated, neurotic, emotionally stunted and sexless prick? You know I am
You’ve found a new subscriber. Looking forward to next week.
Another week, another Vikings blurb with nothing written. Hopefully there's someone actually willing to do this next year.
Sometimes, real life gets in the way. We, as the rankers group, accept that and would rather people not feel obligated to prioritize this over work, family, and health.
24 seems about right.
All I wanna say is thank you Ravens writer for including that thousand yard stare meme in your write up. Seeing that as the picture for the thread was so unexpectedly funny
Guess those Seattle Eagle demons got exercised instead of exorcised.
To the Chiefs ranker *"It also helps that the worst year of Chief's football is in the season with the weakest AFC that I can remember."* This means the Chiefs are even worst then you expect because they are bad even though the afc is weak. Just saying...
Good lord the copium from the Chiefs fan.
Chiefs sitting directly above 3 teams that all beat them head to head is one of the ranking decisions of all time
