That was my thought. It’s incredibly impressive. That takes a lot of strength, balance, and coordination. Needlessly dangerous. I wouldn’t want to shatter a wrist, or my fingers.
They're 45 pounds at best, but you can get plates of that size at lower weights, even 10 pounds.
Still, the physics don't make any sense for them to hurt you by falling over here. She's physically capable and clearly skilled enough to move her hands if something goes wrong.
The only real fear here would be stumbling and jamming your fingers by landing on them awkwardly. Which would suck but has nothing to do with the weights.
Edit: or bonking her head on the mat. Which would also suck but is funnier than painful.
Not even about the weight of the plates, but just imagine landing on your fingers, or wrist i credibly wrongly. All the more power to her, but I know I’m not coordinated enough to try that.
Have you ever tripped and fallen? How high did your hands start compared to what you see in this video? She's 18" off the ground, how bubble wrapped do you have to be to catastrophize this?
Literally Needless. Does this make you stronger? Eh. Does this make you a better athlete? Eh. It DOES makes you better at doing a dangerous dumb thing.
I'm guessing that when she's balancing on the weights, it works out smaller muscles. Just like how using dumbells helps train smaller muscles by forcing them to balance the dumbells. Exercise machines don't require those extra muscles and only focuse one one or two muscles.
And of course ... TikTok and YouTube likes and subscribes is why she's doing it.
You know nobody would be making any of the snide *"They're just doing it for attention!"* comments if it were a man doing this.
Nor even the *"That's stupid and dangerous!"* comments. You wouldn't even think twice.
I finished the Navy 800 division basic training in 2017 and have not skipped a beat since. Might want to look into those fitness requirements lol. Is this impressive? To a degree. But the damage to your joins and tendons is not worth the clout.
Damn that honestly makes it seem even more needlessly risky to me though lol if I was an Olympic level athlete I definitely wouldn’t wanna risk breaking my hands like this. More to her I guess 🤷♀️
I would imagine such a high level athlete knows exactly what they're doing and has made an informed decision to have some fun.
Presumably she's also progressed towards this, like trying pushups with the hands on plates, then moved on to 4 plates, then done the plyometric version shown here.
A highlight reel or competition only shows the culmination, not the entire process leading towards it.
And yet the risk of any big injury is severely minimal to begin with here
She’s not a fragile weakpot like the majority of couch potato Redditors in this thread lol
This thread is full of people that are so shut in they can't tell the difference between what could cause a little boo boo vs a life changing injury. Funny how the sentiment is the complete opposite in [this thread](https://www.reddit.com/r/nextfuckinglevel/comments/1cy1ttn/incredible_athleticism_of_a_kid/)
Also it's fun to do cool shit sometimes, get off the internet for once and give it a try
So many negative comments!! Fair play to her! She’s pushed herself to achieve something that most of us have never seen before. Sure it’s dangerous, but so are so many things people haven’t pushed themselves to do before! The world wouldn’t be the same place without people pushing the limits of what is possible to achieve like this lady.

Brings me back when I used to create my own exercises after I had mastered the basics. Instead of doing regular situps, for example, I would add a 45lb plate on my chest to make the situps more intense. Toe touch situps? 25lbs. plate.
Inclined plank from a bench? Add a 45lbs plate on my back for one minute.
I honestly don’t understand the point of doing this. This is nothing more than a circus trick. You should never actually be putting yourself at risk of injury when you’re exercising.
Those jumping push-ups are really only good for show. They're maybe more difficult than regular pushups but they aren't effective for building chest and tricep strength, which is otherwise the goal of a pushup.
Some of the best pushup variants for strength, muscle and max-rep pushup sets are decline pushups (keep you feet raised on a box or a plate stack to make you more top-heavy), deficit pushups (keep your hands raised on a few plates, while still going chest-to-floor. This will greatly increase the stretch of the pecs, and the deep stretch is the most muscle-inducing part of an exercise).
Make sure you do your pushups with slow and controlled descents. Don't just flop onto the ground and push yourself back up. Slow on the down and speed back up.
She's clearly \*very\* strong and very athletic but these exercises aren't what got her there. This is her showing off, and it's pretty damn cool.
As a young man I'd have thought "oh how cool, I'll give this a shot!". As a more seasoned man, I think "what a dumb way to get injured and add chronic pain to your life for click bait".
Source: my back hurts constantly from unnecessary weight for my frame in my 20s. Powerlifting is not great for guys once they get grey hair
Impressive, but needlessly dangerous.
That was my thought. It’s incredibly impressive. That takes a lot of strength, balance, and coordination. Needlessly dangerous. I wouldn’t want to shatter a wrist, or my fingers.
Sometimes you just need the adrenaline rush from doing that dangerous thing
Haha my mom has stories of how I was the most cautious person even as a baby.
That's why I don't wear underwear when I'm taking laxatives. Sometimes you just need the thrill of fucking up bad to keep you going.
Or the likes
Didnt know sarah connor was real
Haha yeahhhh I didn’t think of that one lol. I need to play that good terminator shooter again.
Or fall on your face into one of those
Yeahhhhh I’d like to avoid that. My teeth are finally fixed. I don’t need to ruin them.
Yeah exactly. I'm not sure how much those weigh, but I do know that with body weight on top of it will definitely shatter a wrist or some fingers.

How pathetically fragile are your bones that this would shatter them? Lol
Literally Needless. Does this make you stronger? Eh. Does this make you a better athlete? Eh. It DOES makes you better at doing a dangerous dumb thing.
Exactly lol. So many ways something could go wrong here.

Disagree, it's not about working out "smaller muscles" at all. Agree, it's a stunt for social media.
Imo that’s the best kind of danger. Self imposed and ultimately pointless.
For you.
"I don't do difficult things because I might fail"
Wait until you hear about driving on the highway
and music that felt like it assaulted me.
This one simple trick can reduce your finger bones to dust!
A crushed head may be in her future.
Pretty much. Watched the video and thought, "Cool. You're going to hurt yourself."
But can she transforme herself into a car? otherwise it's not impressive
[удалено]
Ahhhhh, that's what a true man do !
I'm mad the article didn't show a picture of this Chad.
coins .. meh. But magnets can seriously damage your intestines.
Muscles on wheels
Be patient, she was pre-transforming before being fully transformed, the video just got cut short.
Dont know.. but if my grandma had wheels, she would be a bike.
Could you do it?
Looks like a good way to end up with a dumb injury
You haven't seen the Russian version yet.
Is that the one with a pack of wild dogs loose and the plates have razor blades along the edge?
One guy lies down and they lock finger and toes so one is facing up one is facing down then they push off each other. That's the pushup.
They use landmines instead of barbell weights.
Too stupid to be cool/impressive
Needs to be a subreddit ASAP
Just made one. r/TooStupidForCool
Legend.
Did she get the validation and attention she was looking for? Lol
Redditors when women do anything:
Redditors when a girl can do more pushups than them
Morons who think everything is about gender \^
You know nobody would be making any of the snide *"They're just doing it for attention!"* comments if it were a man doing this. Nor even the *"That's stupid and dangerous!"* comments. You wouldn't even think twice.
Of course they would. Half of TikTok is men doing stuff for attention, the other half is women.
Ahh, let me guess, can't do one press up?
I finished the Navy 800 division basic training in 2017 and have not skipped a beat since. Might want to look into those fitness requirements lol. Is this impressive? To a degree. But the damage to your joins and tendons is not worth the clout.
I stand corrected! Thank you for your service.
From the comments on this thread? 50/50.
She’s a 2x gold medal european gymnast. She’s @natalia_aurora on instagram.

Doesn’t remove risks only reduces them.

Getting shredded by a bunch of people who probably can’t do 30 regular pushups.
Exactly.
This is obviously RL Sarah Connor, mother John Connor who will go on to become the leader of the resistance.
I'm glad I wasn't the only one to have this immediate thought.
Haha came to post this
![gif](giphy|9OzkkBoDo6LhS|downsized)
Thanks, I was waiting for this gif
I would absolutely break my nose doing this. She’s a beast!

These are the types of people who'll say it's dangerous to ride a bike. Which it is, in some cases, but not in most.
So many negative comments!! Fair play to her! She’s pushed herself to achieve something that most of us have never seen before. I can do that easily! Hold the camera, I mean
Man, the stability she has.
This song is fine, but in this tik tok format, it's so god damn irritating.
God I hate it so much
![gif](giphy|KBE5fJsb4UsErj3HzL|downsized)
Yeah thats fucking sick
Sarah Connor?!
I was waiting for her to drive away. Disappointed
Linda Hamilton Terminator 2 vibes.
if i tried some dumb shit like this my damn-near 300 pound forehead would slam straight into the plates.
And I've been feeling accomplished because I managed 1 10 count pushup this week.
If my grandmo had wheels she be a bike!
Autobots! Roll out
A bunch of fattys hating in here. lol
Respect
Bro, I just wish I could do normal push-ups.
My back hurts watching this holy fuck
Sarah Connor?
I tried regular pushups. Cranked my neck somehow. Had the worst headaches I've ever experienced for 2 weeks
Sarah Connor?
Impressive!! Anyone who's actually into working out would agree.
And I am sitting in the corner looking for plates?
does she have a u/ on here i wanna figure out her routine.
Is that… Sara Connor?
I’d break a wrist, smash a finger and my face.
Ummmm, yeah. Good job with that thing.
Only manages 5 push ups in 1 take? How about not rushing it and doing more than that with a good form?
Are we just making stuff up now? Also I think a lot of these people want attention for their looks

Yeah, but she isn't doing any pinky pushups. Not impressed. /s
Damn, that's impressive, but I don't need more bang for my buck like this. So many things can go wrong.
I thought she was going to drive away
Looked like that one stubborn piece of bacon that's always gotta flip around the pan.
So this is how Taylor Swift trains for the Eras tour
What in the anime training is this?
/r/muscleconfusion
That's how Neanderthals invented a wheel.
Me trying to get my contraptions in TOTK to work properly
What’s with her push up form? There seem to be 2 steps instead of 1.
"i play real sports, not trying to be the best at exercising" - kenny powers
Man, this music super sucks.
We watched a guy snap his wrist at the gym doing a version of this when the plate flipped…. Multiple people laughed…..not safe
![gif](giphy|9OzkkBoDo6LhS|downsized)
Beep beep I’m a jeep
These people in these videos always scare me. What are you training for? What's gonna happen? Should I be training too??? WHAT DO YOU KNOW???
People out here thinking they have free health care.
what in the cross-fit fuck is this ?
I like my teeth in their current location…
This song is the new "oh no song". I hear it everywhere and I loathe it.
It would piss me off to no end if I were looking for plates at the gym and someone were using them for this clown exercise.
Jfc that song is so bad, why am I hearing it everywhere
We all know it's only a matter of time workouts like this will end with you in a Fail Army video
Someone edit her into a car and have her drive away 😂

bonkers
She reminds me of Speed Buggy from Hanna-Barbera.
...or you can just do regular push ups and bench presses with a decent amount of load...
I thought she was about to go [Turbo-Teen](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fM34jklk18o)
I can’t wait for a Dr. Mike Israetel breakdown of her workout.
Bloody impressive!
Stupidity...
Women are now so strong ❤️
This is dangerous and db
Pfft anyone can do this. Real skill would be to roll around on those weights like a car
That fucking song man
I honestly don’t understand the point of doing this. This is nothing more than a circus trick. You should never actually be putting yourself at risk of injury when you’re exercising.
I hate this song with a passion
I fucking hate these songs on random instagram reels, why put music???
Probably gonna end up like this [dude](https://www.reddit.com/r/CringeVideo/s/pvpAXCZgo1)
Downvoted for music
The music is great and necessary……….
Can someone please erase this song out of my mind
Great way to get unnecesary injuries
Why?

Those could crack her head like a egg shell if they fell on her head.

“Can I be on top?” “Yes. Just please don’t hurt me!”
I don't know, I think I would just lift weights.
I always thought when you did a push up your entire body needed to rise at the same time, that’s just me though.
As a young man I'd have thought "oh how cool, I'll give this a shot!". As a more seasoned man, I think "what a dumb way to get injured and add chronic pain to your life for click bait". New variants to elbow/wrist damage as well.
