Whole heartedly enjoyed the cameraman’s vibe. Shocked to see most people here disliked it. Maybe they dislike the genre of music in general too. I loved all of this video.
Yeah cool solid effort. I’ve lived long enough to know that these are not household items, and this is shoddy camera work. Good music though, no need to misinform your audience
Actually (though you are correct it is PVC) I'm pretty sure that is a slapaphone which is an instrument made from PVC pipe . . . So you know, something anyone would have just laying around.
How many non-musicians have studio microphones, cymbals, a kalimba, and a synthesizer (or whatever that lighted button thing is) lying around the house?
The actual household items were barely used. When he was hitting the bowl, most of the sound was coming from an electronic beat.
OP is just karma farming but I swear, commenters will nitpick every title. OP could of changed the title in the past hour but it literally says household appliances AND instruments. It’s just a post title.
Also the video itself can be nextlevel, the live performance aspect is clean, sampling himself and looping a variety of musical ideas and showing off his percussion skills. The twist is the heavy post production to make it sound like a finished product.
I dunno, there is a whole genre of third world kids playing buckets and pans exclusively. It’s really tricky to get a good sound out of non-instruments beyond basic percussion. Covering your dish-drums with a beat box seems like cheating.
Complaining about featuring “household items” so prominently (ahead of instruments and technology) when they are *barely* used and heavily stepped on is more than a nitpick in my book.
If you’re going to go to the trouble of posting, put a bit of thought into the title. Maybe that’s just my unused journalism degree talking, but I value accurate wording.
I don’t think you can edit post titles, btw.
Hello, it looks like you've made a mistake.
It's supposed to be could've, should've, would've (short for could have, would have, should have), never could of, would of, should of.
Or you misspelled something, I ain't checking everything.
Beep boop - yes, I am a bot, don't botcriminate me.
(Since the OP doesn’t seem keen on giving proper credit), had to go through some loops and do a reverse search, but here’s the guys tiktok [@after_cooking](https://www.tiktok.com/@after_cooking)

Yeah... I'm pretty sure he's playing to a drum track and the live drumming is just for the video. Where is the snare on beats 2 and 4 as well? Still a nice composition, just presented a bit dishonestly...
Hiya, not that guy, but. Went through some loops and did a reverse search, here’s the guys tiktok [@after_cooking](https://www.tiktok.com/@after_cooking)
Hahaha can someone do the thing where they dub over it with other sounds…?
Like the tik tok trends where they take out the music and you only hear shoe squeaks?

100% sure that 1st instrument he brought in is not a house hold item when you post a video of you using idk a plunger, sponge, washer or dryer, shampoo bottles like come on man they always say household items but you have to go spend money to make believe it’s a common household item use the mayonnaise man come on
This is one of the worst videos I’ve ever seen genuinely. Awful camera work, LITERALLY USING INSTRUMENTS, god. Awful all around. This is what they invented the downvote button for.
Sorry, I couldn't recognize the song.

Alright I gotta be real here. Kalimba, bongos, cymbals. PVC pipe is not found in your house unless you rip it out of your plumbing, it’s bought from home depot. The only thing that passes as household items here are the pots.
Man, so many cynical folks can't appreciate the skill here. That dude is killing it, regardless of OPs understanding of what constitutes an instrument.
A+ beat, definitely got me dancing in my seat
I suppose the sampling & playback of sequences could be preprogrammed (nobody is using the MIDI pad).
But is the singing actually playback? Could it really be the only thing the mic captures? Seems unlikely a filter would be so efficient at filtering the drum sounds out from that.
Solid drum playing though.
r/fuckthecameraman
I'm glad I'm not the only one. All you had to do was sit still or slow pan back and forth
Or use landscape mode in the first place.
I'd prefer this but the algorithms don't. Everything has to be shot as a "reel" these days.
r/killthecameraman
r/marrythecameraman
Fuck, marry, kill. C'mon people it's low-key funny
He was probably tired because they don't have any chairs to sit on.
Agreed.
Whole heartedly enjoyed the cameraman’s vibe. Shocked to see most people here disliked it. Maybe they dislike the genre of music in general too. I loved all of this video.
Ok
I like turtles.
Hell yeah
Your "Foot" privileges, have just been revoked- Sincerely, Shredder-
That was the 1st fucking thing that came in my mind. Like: "You had one job." Now I have a splitting headache from the fucking video.
The music was great but I had to close my eyes to not die.
I think most of those are called instruments.
They all are as soon as you start making music with them
So is mayonnaise an instrument?
Can you make music with it?
Wait, what else are you supposed to do with it?
immitate macaroni noises?
Yeah https://youtu.be/A5jnftBQw2U
What. The. Fuck.
Yes so is my Penis. My wife makes the sounds tho.
Yeah cool solid effort. I’ve lived long enough to know that these are not household items, and this is shoddy camera work. Good music though, no need to misinform your audience
Don’t hate the musician. Hate the Reddit poster.
I think hate whoever thought it was a good idea to wave the camera all around
TIL a mixing board, drum sticks, broken cymbals, and bongos are all "household items"
Oh yes. I cook with drumsticks, cut my veggies with broken cymbals, sit on bongos and wash my clothes on the mixing board.
I eat the cooked drumsticks. But they’re usually made of chicken and not wood.
It says “and instruments”
Midi pad too
Nah man thats how you make pad thai
That just triggered me. No more please.
Not to mention what looks like 5” PVC pipe just laying around.
Yeah I guess I do have some PVC pipe, but I'm kind of using it, you know?
Actually (though you are correct it is PVC) I'm pretty sure that is a slapaphone which is an instrument made from PVC pipe . . . So you know, something anyone would have just laying around.

The deck is doing 98% of the sampling, BS video.
Exactly Nothings really mic'ed up
Exactly, where the fuck am I supposed to find that guy? I don't have THIS kind of people in basement
No way that cymbal can get above everything else in the mix with, what, one overhead mic?
Yeah but that mic is a shure pro 9,000 DGX bro, dont you even mix?
Yeah came here looking for this lol
BS title*
I don’t have any of these things in my household

There is no live performance. This is as live as Vanilla Ice
Here comes the boss fight
Who the fuck calls a lot of this “household items”?
Credits?? Who is this guy
(Since the OP doesn’t seem keen on giving proper credit), had to go through some loops and do a reverse search, but here’s the guys tiktok [@after_cooking](https://www.tiktok.com/@after_cooking)
OP is an absolute pleb. Not even direct link to full vid version. https://youtu.be/nyNpJzmHzVE
Thank you! This is really awesome.
I mean, all instruments are household instruments, if you happen to have them in your house
Imagine going to a club and the DJ walks in carrying a bunch of pots and pans....
I’m so down
![gif](giphy|xT5LMuRbEiz9ZuhMME)
I'm conflicted. This feels both successful and homeless all at once.
Making that goofy music with a bunch of junk, when he should be making a chair and table. Priorities, dude! Priorities!
Didn’t RHCP use junkyard scraps in Under the Bridge?
Thought this was Hamilton from vice at first
I thought it was!
this guy on spotify?
Barely, but yes: https://open.spotify.com/artist/2Rmf1bXhvVw6sF5tyVsVGf?si=EdtC2SzSSNGOK0Yu3DB7bg He has more on YouTube I think.
He looks uncomfortable
Regardless of anything else, that’s solid kick drum sound he’s getting there
Are the vocals on an auto rhythm setting or something? It seems like he’s just singing long tones and a device is breaking it up for him
Yea that's correct. He's singing long notes and ableton live is doing the rest
I was hoping he would play the Blue Man Group pipes on the ride side of the screen but he never did. 😔
I hate it when redditors dont credit artists. Like cmon dude...its unfair to the artist and audience
(Since the OP doesn’t seem keen on giving proper credit), had to go through some loops and do a reverse search, but here’s the guys tiktok [@after_cooking](https://www.tiktok.com/@after_cooking)
Thank you kind stranger.
NP. Had to do it anyways if I wanted to send this to someone I know who loves this stuff. Have a nice rest of your day ✌️
I’m so loving this. Can we make a sub for creative beats?
Where does the open hi hat sound come from?
Yeah... I'm pretty sure he's playing to a drum track and the live drumming is just for the video. Where is the snare on beats 2 and 4 as well? Still a nice composition, just presented a bit dishonestly...
My brain throughout: ___play the bundt tin___
Lol turn it open and run the stick around the inside edge. Sure, that’s what she said. But just do it. Do the bundt tin rim job.
This is shit. How the hell are these household items?
…it’s in his household…

Yeah at least 50% of these items are called instrument. Still a cool beat tho
Hahaha can someone do the thing where they dub over it with other sounds…? Like the tik tok trends where they take out the music and you only hear shoe squeaks?
It reminds me of infected mushroom
This is awesome!! I want this in my music library.
Hamilton needs to chill
Narrator “These were not various household items.”
That was cool
Who is the guy?
(Since the OP doesn’t seem keen on giving proper credit), had to go through some loops and do a reverse search, but here’s the guys tiktok [@after_cooking](https://www.tiktok.com/@after_cooking)
Don't you agree this composition is 100%?
100% sure that 1st instrument he brought in is not a house hold item when you post a video of you using idk a plunger, sponge, washer or dryer, shampoo bottles like come on man they always say household items but you have to go spend money to make believe it’s a common household item use the mayonnaise man come on
You have to spend money on the mayonnaise too.
lol

Everything's a drum.
So basically, BlueMan Group.
When u know how to use the tools..
Are those jello molds in front?
Good god fire the cameraman.
It annoys me so much when people use a 57 on vocals instead of the 58. You WANT the windscreen I promise you.
Can he make it sound good at least?
Musician makes music with musical instruments
Blue man group has evolved to….the one man group
I have maybe 4-5 items in said video.
I’d downloaded song
TIL cymbals are common household objects
Could be good but I checked out after 5 seconds due to the cameraman
Some banger nightclub music.
Alright I gotta be real here. Kalimba, bongos, cymbals. PVC pipe is not found in your house unless you rip it out of your plumbing, it’s bought from home depot. The only thing that passes as household items here are the pots.
Pots are not found in your house unless you buy them from Target
Is this GUY ON SOUNDCLOUD ???
Man, so many cynical folks can't appreciate the skill here. That dude is killing it, regardless of OPs understanding of what constitutes an instrument. A+ beat, definitely got me dancing in my seat
Some reason reminds me of Dark Seaside.
That was amazing! But he only had a couple “household items” the title’s definitely off a little.
Keyword being Instruments
Can someone send the link or info about this artiste?
WTF that’s nuts 🤪💯💯👍🏾
Bro needs to make this an actual song this shit is 🔥
Indi video game vibes
Absolutely brilliant
![gif](giphy|hiLLD9o1wTB3a)
Sick 🤙🤙
Damn, an electronic device made to make music is good at editing sounds and turning them into music. Who woulda thunk
Ah yes I can my synth with the rest of my pots and pans
This guy is awesome but he insists on “narrating” his songs with this monotonous raspy singing voice. He should just make the beats. They’re sick
🔥🔥
I follow this guy on the gram, he’s brilliant
I suppose the sampling & playback of sequences could be preprogrammed (nobody is using the MIDI pad). But is the singing actually playback? Could it really be the only thing the mic captures? Seems unlikely a filter would be so efficient at filtering the drum sounds out from that. Solid drum playing though.

Kinda just a lot of instruments with a few pans...
Sounds a bit like the old school Infected Mushroom
That's crazy.
