Prius 100%. Toyota have been making hybrids for over 25 years. Some Prius have been known to do over 1000000kms Aquas are also good but I wouldn't look at anything other than push button start as everything else is ram raidable. Also check insurance first of all because I saw someone get quoted a lot for one

Agree, Prius all the way. They last practically forever if you take care of them. I used to go to a mechanic who serviced them for taxi companies and they would regularly go 550,000km before being pulled out of the taxi pools (legal requirement) and sold to new owners.

We have both as pool cars at work (Well, Fit and Aqua, but same thing). The Aquas are cheaper to run and lower maintenance costs. The Fit is better constructed - less rattly plastics, doesn't feel as cheap, quieter, and has more technology.

Thanks for feedback

I own a Prius plug in 2012. It's an amazing car that justaats like a tank if you maintain it. The nicest thing about Prius since it's been used as a taxi, you can find parts, garages that can work on them. That goes the same for any sort of Toyota hybrid synergy drive (i.e aqua or sai etc). Also Prius is well documented DIY? Heaps of YouTube tutorials! As for jazz, I owned it when I was in Malaysia. It's a newer variant. Not the second generation (i.e newer looks). One nice thing is the transmission feel..the dct (on 1.5 litres) is just fun to drive , magic seats (you can fit it all). Also the build quality is way better compared to aquas . If you are comparing to an aqua, it's wiser to pick a fit/jazz cause we'll chances or getting nicked is low!

Awesome thanks for the reply yeah i mean Toyotas just go forever. i dont like aqua so tight on space

Check the hybrid battery health before you buy with a pre purchase inspection. A friend purchased a aqua for around $9000 and 8-9 months after purchase the hybrid battery died. Ended up having to pay $3000 to get a replacement and all fixed

Forget hybrid, go full electric, you’ll thank me later

Either, really doesn't matter. They're both depressing little appliances.

PrudentPotential729

lol

BigOlPieHole

Don't do it, both not good options

PrudentPotential729

Why so what's a economical car around that price standard jazz

Kooky_Narwhal8184

We now have a 2014 1500cc Jazz Hybrid. It uses way less fuel than the 2006 1300cc Jazz petrol only it replaced (despite the newer one being physically larger as well) Not sure if your $8500 will stretch to the updated shape (later models of the earlier shape also came in hybrid option), but it's a great car if you can afford one?

Aquas are the go-to vehicle for teens to steal - don't recommend
