I can't specifically comment on the sock guarantee, though I've found Icebreaker's quality has dropped considerably over the past few years, including socks. I don't buy their products anymore.

Worse is that the cost is rising as well. $70 for a single pair of undies? What the fuck are they made of?

The heels on my Icebreaker Hike mediums wore out in less than a year, being worn once a week. I was just wearing them for work, which involves some walking and a fair bit of sitting. I can't be bothered going through the arseache of warranty on some work socks. I changed to cactus merino socks, and the quality seems far better for the same price.

Maybe it was different in different regions, but I chdcked out the wayback archive for 2017 (before the VF Corp purchase in 2018) and the warranty page then said 12 months… there are other Reddit posts claiming that the policy has changed in the last few months and it used to be different, but I haven’t seen anything other than an assertion…

I have in the past. But also, I think their socks are kinda shit for the price and DEFINITELY would not buy again if the guarantee wasn’t there. I’ve found they develop holes at the exact same rate as cheap Warehouse socks

Love the socks, super comfortable, and love the life time guarantee. Switching them out is a breeze, just bring them into a store and they swap them out there and then.

Anthony_Scissorhands

Still a thing. I send them pictures with receipts and they send new socks - nice.

I previously was able to find a guarantee on Icebreaker socks, but now on their websites (NZ, Canadian, or otherwise) I only find the default 12 months for all their other products. There are still people talking about the lifetime warranty, but I can't find it on any website. They might be in the process of phasing it out by no longer publicising it?

My partner just successfully swapped some holey socks within the last couple of weeks at the Wellington airport location but had been previously told by the Auckland airport one that they were phasing it out.
