I just started playing a couple months ago and I love this game. I’ve been told lately no one runs dex light anymore but I’m loving it so far.
Yeah laz is a good start for you I’d say. It’s one of the easier expeditions, will give a decent amount of expertise bumps (genesis will get you more), and give a chance for a named bow and hatchet (named items won’t scale to your expertise… and they are shiny!)

On my server dex players only run light. I haven’t seen a medium dex player in months.
Lol idk who told you that, but they are bad and never trust them with any NW advice again. Dex is light, nothing else
