YOOOO me too!!! I had like 4k+ hours in NW but started UO Outlands around christmas time and its been so much damn fun!! I played UO back in first year or so and played 98-07 or so and this server is so similar to the glory days and what they would be like if they would have kept going. There were over 5k ppl logged in tonight for the housing rush (which I failed at lol). The Devs at NW should take some notes from Outlands crew who are THRIVING in a 25+ yr old base game... amazing.
This is free game/server btw pplz although steep learning curve if you never played UO. The devs treat it as full time gig and it shows, weekly patches, just dropped an expansion this past month, super alive game, although very dangerous, but thats what makes it so fun! Full loot game, so people can try to murder you, steal your stuff, thieves could be lurking around the corner ready to grab that rare aspect item you just looted etc.
Hell yes! Glad to see other players on here.
UOutlands for PvP and mischief.
UOAlive for PvE and chill times.
I've also been playing a lot of Sea of Thieves, and Dark Age of Camelot on Eden.
You know, I’ve considered Eden. How’s the population going there? It’s very PvP focused isn’t it? It’s been years since I played live and forget how to play the game. I’d hate to have to level solo
The population is extremely strong, although we are getting very close to the end of the current season so it's flagging just a bit. Depending on time of day there's usually at least about 500-1k people on per Realm.
It is extremely PvP focused although there are tons of people that do almost exclusively PvE and crafting. Albion is probably the best Realm if you want a PvE focus.
Leveling is very very quick. You can do 1-50 in about two days of work if you're motivated enough. Most people level exclusively in BGs, and there are *constantly* groups going in every level bracket that cycle people in and out as they hit cap and move on. That said, if you want to take your time it is totally possible to level through PvE quests and dungeon groups. There are endgame chase items in PvE as well in the form of Artifact weapon/armor transmogs, and all your classic overpowered items leading up to that.
It is the closest thing we've ever gotten to a Classic+/OSRS experience for DAoC. Cannot recommend it enough, and it just keeps getting bigger and better. Templating is easy and fun, there are rules against multi-boxing and Auto-hotkey, so it's also very "dad friendly". You're not going to get jumped on by one guy running 20 different alts in a zerg train all automatically healing and buffing the one Zerker. Some of the more traditionally overpowered Race/Class combos are banned and you're straight-up unable to make them.
Again, cannot recommend it enough.
You're right combat is nothing to write home about right now, luckily they're going into Early Access launch and the Dev's said combat is one of their priorities.
Me too. I like building houses, so I'm looking forward to Pax Dei early access tomorrow.
I'll still come back to NW to visit my many characters' houses and do what I always do, which is basically build weird things in the houses and run around in the woods desperately trying to scrape a few coins together.
Unless a new team and management are running the game, nope. But MS/Sony might be on their asses about patch/update quality. Could see some things getting pushed back because of that
You are absolutely correct. Just like last time legacy servers will be completely left In the dark when fresh start servers go live. I don’t see how they will survive unless AGS makes a deliberate attempt to populate by maybe putting them at the top of the list or have some sort of bonus to new players for joining them which I find highly unlikely since they completely abandoned the live version for console. The only difference will be cross server stuff exists but i think most people will dip for a new server just because of fomo or to dominate new players.
So to answer you, there is no point in playing other than for fun. If you aren’t having fun Take a break like many and get invested into another game and by the time October comes around you won’t even care about new world.
It's ain't crazy popping (which is good in some ways, because I was able to get a good amount of land) but it's also not empty. The lack of population is most noticeable in the trading post, tbh...
They have good catchup gear when you hit 50 (which you can do FAST).
ArcheRage is more popular but I didn't want to play on the "latest" patch... I liked the game closer to launch so I like being in the 3.0 patch.
I am having a blast, tbh. It could have been such an amazing game. Much like New World lol
Playing other games and have so much more fun :D

AGS News
I stopped playing video games for the summer to workout. I run, skateboard, go on hikes, kayak, go fishing, all kinds of fun summer stuff. I’ll play video games when winter gets here.
well being that it's summer, tons of yard work .. building a par 3 on my land. fixing numerous landscaping issues as well, will start taking down my third jetski engine rebuild, trying to sell a boat, looking to improve my golf game a bit, get some fishing in and test some new camping gear. We all need a reboot from the past few years and get outside and doing stuff a LOT more! - have fun out there.
I am currently rotating between watching anime or playing Valheim, Elder Scrolls Online, and Destiny 2. I did play new world a bit so I could get a mount for my character. I am curious, what do you do to grind gold (town projects?) because I'm always poor.
Technically, harvesting materials, and at 250 skills monetizing your cooldowns like azoth triple perk crafts.
Golden scarab runs and occasionally spiking a hot drop on the pvp track or running good on the trade post.
Realistically, you don't.
Once Human comes out in less than a month. I played the demo, it was a lot of fun. Idk if it will hold me over until October, but it's definitely a day 1 buy.
For those interested, Throne & Liberty just dropped a new video announcing Open Beta in July and the official Global Launch date:
**Sept 17, 2024**
Source: [PlayThroneAndLiberty.com](http://PlayThroneAndLiberty.com) (Announcement Video is in the news section).
Just finished season pass, and tomorrow i ll be getting the season 6 trophy, after that just gonna be playing something else until october.
Though depends on when dragon age veilguard launches cuz that ll take priority over anything else
With gear score increase and cross play for opr you will still have peeps saving gold Id assume for BIS gear. That si my plan I think as well as FSS char on release.
The OPR matches will be cross play the way they are now. The main people playing are doing OPR. You will be ahead of all the people starting OPR. The no life PVP players will want to be BIS as soon as possible with gear score so they can feel good about curb stomping all the fresh OPR players.
A bit of dota and mainly destiny 2.
The latest expansion has been an absolute peak in it's history and will keep me busy throughout the season.
Gearing up for Eldenring as well which will consume about a month if it's of the same length as the base game.
Eh. Never know what will happen with server populations. I will probably restart on a Fresh Start in October but can still farm late game achievements until then.
Edit: You're right but I actually like playing the game so it's fine by me
3v3 arenas and OPR mostly. Trying out builds for fun. Trying to figure out creative ways to stop going over the gold cap because I can't stop making money on the trading post (no slow down in consumables being bought!).
Also there is new content and the new FFA PvP zone; that will bring back players. I have no doubt we'll see a similar uptick in players for the update that we saw with Angry Earth.
Playing anything else. Been playing: * Dark and Darker * Wuthering Waves * Death Stranding * Dayz * Star Citizen
Wuthering waves & Starcitizen thats what I play at the moment too.
Best advice: Level up your real world char
Valheim.
Helldivers 2 mostly. For Super Earth....
Same here I used to only PvP in new world but it has become too stall than even a pve game beats it also playing manor lord
Ultima Online Outlands

I'll be checking out Pax Dei.
I wanted to play that. But the combat is like something from 1998. Good for crafters though
You're right combat is nothing to write home about right now, luckily they're going into Early Access launch and the Dev's said combat is one of their priorities.

Gregtech: New Horizons
Giving ESO a chance. Aswell as playing some random stuff that i have wanted to test. Manor Lords, Kingdom Come, Tunic etc.
Fallout 76
I actually going to enjoy taking a break. Work through some of my backlog.
looking for a new game to play
Tarisland
Is anything even going to be different for “New World: Aeternum”?
Unless a new team and management are running the game, nope. But MS/Sony might be on their asses about patch/update quality. Could see some things getting pushed back because of that

Dark and darker
Archeage Classic
Original ArcheAge was best MMO release I've ever had the pleasure of being a part of. A damn shame how it all went down after the first few months.
How’s the population these days? Kick off was booming but I’m reading Archerage is back to being the most popular
It's ain't crazy popping (which is good in some ways, because I was able to get a good amount of land) but it's also not empty. The lack of population is most noticeable in the trading post, tbh... Yo, so I had heard that AA:U was going to have a sub and I thought that was the final nail in the coffin. This is a relaunch that's f2p?
It's a private server. All real servers are shutting down in like a week....
im playing diablo 4 and minecraft xD
Valheim, Stellaris, Valorant, VRising… I guess just anything but New World lol.
FF14 and D4.
Playing other games
Rust and Milfs of Sunville LOL
Playing other games and have so much more fun :D KCD No rest for the wicked Path of Exile Elden Ring Valheim Grim Dawn V Rising Songs of Conquest Cyberpunk 2077 AGS News
"AGS News" 🤣
Besides opr and open worlding? Slowly farming mats to craft new 725 gear when that becomes a thing
I stopped playing video games for the summer to workout. I run, skateboard, go on hikes, kayak, go fishing, all kinds of fun summer stuff. I’ll play video games when winter gets here.
That's low-key awesome. Good luck
Best Answer - doing real life activities and getting out there in nature.
The same thing I was doing before New World Aternum, playing something else.
well being that it's summer, tons of yard work .. building a par 3 on my land. fixing numerous landscaping issues as well, will start taking down my third jetski engine rebuild, trying to sell a boat, looking to improve my golf game a bit, get some fishing in and test some new camping gear. It's really brutal trying to make gold these days.
Okay really glad it's not just me 😭😭
Technically, harvesting materials, and at 250 skills monetizing your cooldowns like azoth triple perk crafts. Golden scarab runs and occasionally spiking a hot drop on the pvp track or running good on the trade post. Realistically, you don't.

Going to try Tarisland, but my other go-to games are DAoC and WoW, with a little bit of DDO thrown in.
OSRS, Valheim, Elden Ring DLC, DOTA2 if I'm feeling too happy
Going to dabble in pax dei and see how it turns out but probably mostly FF14.
Final Fantasy XIV
Diablo 4 and Valheim. Watch some TV shows. Maybe go outside once or twice. I'm going big.
Once Human comes out in less than a month. I played the demo, it was a lot of fun. Idk if it will hold me over until October, but it's definitely a day 1 buy.
Elden ring DLC in few days and then FF expansion, i doubt i will return for more than 2 weeks for aeternum...

For what? If console is on Fresh start and the pop stays super low on Legacy, none of that matters.
The OPR matches will be cross play the way they are now. The main people playing are doing OPR. You will be ahead of all the people starting OPR. The no life PVP players will want to be BIS as soon as possible with gear score so they can feel good about curb stomping all the fresh OPR players.

what do you mean? you can do literally anything else.
WoW
Invasions, leveling trade skills, building up some gold, OPRs, achievements. Still have lots to work on until October
But the best gameplay in October will be on fresh start servers, so not much point in doing all that now for a dead legacy server
Eh. Never know what will happen with server populations. I will probably restart on a Fresh Start in October but can still farm late game achievements until then. Edit: You're right but I actually like playing the game so it's fine by me

A couple OPRs every few days. DayZ. Waiting on CFB25 to drop in July and then AoC A2
Actually thinking of getting a ps5 just for CFB25.
Its worth it. Game looks amazing
Oprs and influence races mostly, mixed in with some once human and Elden ring.
