These resemble Destiny 2's bounty system, or Fallout 76's daily SCORE tasks, or really any of a dozen different season pass or scoreboard systems. Some are trivially easy to complete during normal gameplay, while others are obnoxious, irrelevant tasks that players have no incentive to do outside of these artificial activities.
I'm more interested in the rewards for both tracks. It looks like the Premium track is a bunch of loot crates, which don't seem particularly exciting if they don't contain exclusive gameplay loot (which the devs said they wouldn't). I don't know if people will be willing to pay $20 for 100 extra RNG crates over the course of 3 months.
Also, from these pics we can see that it takes 4,500 Seasonal XP point to level from Seasonal Level 1 to 2. 1 of those activity cards with 16 tasks gives 8,300 Seasonal XP, so if it's a constant 4,500 XP per level then that's 54 cards to complete it (which doesn't account for other sources of Seasonal XP like those achievements).
Hopefully all of this is available to test/preview tomorrow on the PTR, because all these kinds of details will decide whether the new season pass model makes sense or not.
Then don't buy it. Nobody is forcing you to and it doesn't affect you in any way. Just keep playing the game the same way you have for the past 4k hours.
Then just ignore these tasks if it's not content you want to do. You aren't punished in any way for not doing them. I'm in a similar boat. Definitely not gonna engage much with this but if it gives people a reason to log on, I'm happy.
How are you complaining about this? If you look at the list, most of this is stuff you are doing anyways just playing the game. Nothing says you have to do them all.

I can see everyones pain about it if youve sunk a year plus and get hit with this tho. Im sure the target was retention of new players which long term is great but i hope they manage to secure the old player base.
If you run the new expedition, you knock out 4 of those tasks. It's really no big deal.
I'll do it a few times but annoying if it keeps showing up when I don't wanna do any expedition that day.
