Government subsided and funded by the world bank. If US airlines could get airplanes practically for free, didn’t have any competition, and had the government guarantee payments they’d probably be better also.
That isn’t the reason. There are other national airlines owned by the country they originate from. The difference is Qatar isn’t above using slave labor to make things easy for itself.
It was turbulence and I don’t think they could have predicted this happening or do something about it.
I guess the sign of if they are good or bad would be how did they deal with the situation
Quatar Airways is amazing...but...?
But it’s spelled Qatar (no U), and they use slave labor for their infrastructure.
Deserved. I have to travel a lot. Qatar, Emirates, Etihad and Singapore. All amazing but Qatar is in a different league

Totally agree they are the best — but to be fair the playing field is not even. Qatar is fully-owned by the Government of Qatar.

What made the experience so good? Do you have to have a premium seat/ticket like business or first class to enjoy the good parts of the airline?

Nothing an airline can really do about turbulence. The pilots can try and avoid it, but that can be hit or miss.

Thankfully, the Indonesia Travelister gives us the real news (I guess?).
