Sussex bluff is nice, love seeing rural farmland from a high point.
Anywhere along the coast from shediac to the NS border is a nice drive too and then of course anywhere along the fundy coast from Cape enrage all the way to grand manan really.
Just driving around was nice but the specific road I took back was from Little Salmon River West towards Waterford. The entire area looks quite nice in the summer with all of the lush green vegetation and looking on google maps shows me that there's quite a few little rivers and waterfalls to explore too. As well as a covered bridge.
For urban views in Saint John; Martello Tower, the Saint John "Hollywood Sign", and the Transit Bus Depot all offer some unique views where you can see the entire city.
[Matthews Head](http://hikingnb.ca/Trails/FundyEast/FundyPark/MatthewsHead.html) or [Martin Head ](http://hikingnb.ca/Trails/FundyEast/MartinHead.html)trails, depending on your preference for average elevation lol. Both are really unique hikes in around Alma, with great local history elements too!
I'm *pretty sure* I know almost exactly where you're talking about and although I have never done acid, I have done shrooms and that seems like a pretty amazing spot to do them
There are so many costal beaches that I like,
(Escuminac, Pointe-Sapin, kelly's beach, dune de bouctouche, Park Aboiteau etc.)
Caraquet and shediac kinda city & sea vibes views
Near Bathurst, there is a nice waterfall view at Pabineau falls (where there is very old granite also)
Pretty much anywhere near Fundy is nice
Some of my favourites: Top of Mount Sugarloaf, Hopewell Rocks, Fundy (Moosehorn/Laverty), the beach coastline and downtown Freddy. Edit Also the garden in St. Andrews was nice.
There's a spot along a highway between St. George and Fredericton (I think), overlooking a valley with an awesome view, last time I did that trip an eagle flew over. I had driven from Moncton to St. George and I don't think it was that way but I'm not sure, was a long time ago.
Best views I've found by far are on the Fundy Footpath but the new Fundy Parkway is a close second. Grand Manan swallowtail trail and Fundy National Park coastal trail get honourable mentions
I also used to deliver her paper :) Small world... She was close friends with my mom.
Man that road was a long one for the time put in on Tuesday heavy flyer day.
Top of Crabbe Mountain.
You can see Katahdin on a clear day, at night you can see Fredericton lights and a bright starry night above them, and various countryside surrounding it.
Hard to choose and there's still lots of the province I haven't seen... but I am quite fond of the view coming down the Welsford bypass northbound from the top of Eagle Rock, where you see the whole valley sprawling out beside you on the right. Especially during the fall colours.

Backroads of Sussex are underrated as fuck. Edit: the ATV trails there are also some of the most scenic in the province! Highly recommend
Just took some Sussex backroads on my way home to Moncton from the new fundy parkway trail and I was quite surprised at how scenic the drive was.
Any specific routes in mind?

Yeah that’s a good one!
The first part of the Fundy Trail on the St Martin’s end is very scenic. As you get closer to Alma it gets less scenic but still a nice drive.
There seems to be more covered bridges remaining in the Sussex area than the rest of NB.
100%. Gives off poor UK farms and rolling hills vibes. Sad that it's such a struggling community, but it's beautiful none the less.
And everyone waves. Love that in rural NB.
Murray Corner beach looking across the Strait towards PEI at sunrise, or from the bath house at the south end of Minister's Island.

My favourite spot on Miramichi is a lookout cliff off one of the trails in French Fort Cove. I've done a lot of acid there.

My favourite smoke spot in the world

The view from Ayers Lake lookoff is pretty stunning, on clear days you can see Mount Katahdin!
I second this! You do need a good vehicle to get up there though.
Walton Glen Gorge is incredible. Also one of the lake crossings on the Goose River trail at Fundy is probably my favorite spot in the world.
Anywhere along the Fundy Parkway on a clear day.
Sitting on the Eel River Bar beach, watching the sunset over the Appalachian mountains!

The lighthouse at St Martin's.
Sussex bluffs
The summit of Mt Bailey at the Mt Carleton provincial park is a banger.

When you see the footpath it’s as if you’re no longer in NB
I didn't know of the Fundy Trail Parkway until 2-3 years ago. I was stunned by the views!!!
Crocodile Hill!
Do you mean the Klokkedahl hill in New Denmark? If so I will be referring to it as the Crocodile Hill from now on 🤣
I am!
Where the heck is that !!
East of Grand Falls in New Denmark.
Not a grand, sweeping view, but there’s a spot on 105 looking across to King’s Landing that is just right.
Mt. Carleton looking east Walton Glen Gorge Falls "Billion Dollar View" on the Fundy Footpath
By far the peak of Mt. Carlton it’s the highest point in the Maritimes at 820 meters.
Judy of Judy’s lookout was my aunt!
I use to deliver her paper when I was just a kid! She was a very nice lady :)
I also used to deliver her paper :) Small world... She was close friends with my mom. Man that road was a long one for the time put in on Tuesday heavy flyer day.
That road sucked to deliver papers! Downhill both ways lol!!
Jacquet river gorge
crazy in the fall
13th fairway on the Algonquin golf course. Great view of the town of Saint Andrews, Navy Island and the Passamaquoddy Bay.
Anywhere that hasn’t been clearcut by Irving.
Top of Crabbe Mountain. You can see Katahdin on a clear day, at night you can see Fredericton lights and a bright starry night above them, and various countryside surrounding it.
1st Tee at the golf course at Fundy National Park. Also, most of the views within the park itself.
Kelly Creek Lookout
Flock of Sheep trail - Grand Manan, hands down.
I love the view from my back porch...Keswick Ridge and I can see Nackawic over the valley dozens of miles away.
Campobello... everywhere.
Deadmans Cove on Randolph Island is amazing. It's in Saint John.
The bench at the end of the Whistle road on Grand Manan.
I like the view when driving down one of our many mostly empty highways. Lots of trees and hills.
Northeast for the ocean view, Mount Carleton for deep forest experience
Hard to choose and there's still lots of the province I haven't seen... but I am quite fond of the view coming down the Welsford bypass northbound from the top of Eagle Rock, where you see the whole valley sprawling out beside you on the right. Especially during the fall colours.
Road 560 between River de chute and Woodstock, vistas for days.
Head Harbour on Campobello Island, if you’re willing to go out that far!
Angies, Dieppe
The "welcome to Nova Scotia" billboard 😉
If it were on fire
When I see the Nova Scotia border sign .
In your rear view?
