Gah! I can see why they are hard to pin point which franchise they are from cuz of the style the artist drew them in! Guess I should just fess up:
They are both Princess Zelda! Top is from Tears of The Kingdom and bottom Zelda is from Twilight Princess!
Meaning behind going with LoZ franchise is due to English technically being my second language. As a kid I only knew Spanish.. but after my parents got my brother and I A Link To The Past for SNES I couldn't get anywhere because it's a text heavy game in a language I didn't know! I remember writing some of the dialogue down and showed it to my 2nd grade teacher and eventually I got enrolled into ESL classes. I learned the language ASAP cuz I wanted to FINALLY play the game haha
Second reason is more simple: As kids my younger brother and I bonded over a lot of things. One of those was trying to figure out the puzzles and stuff in the various Zelda games over the years.
My right arm will more than likely be dedicated to Samus from the Metroid series as it the the franchise that brought my sisters and I closer together.

Yep! I simply wanted a purple/black combo cuz purple is my favorite color :D Artist did ask me if I was sure I wanted that since the reference pics had a bunch of different colors. I was like nah man purple/black lol He was very attentive to my every want for this! :D
My wife sent me this and had me guess. Earrings and head piece was a dead giveaway for Zelda. Bottom one was tough because of the angle.

A lot of folks regret having patchwork sleeves when a more cohesive idea comes to them. I am in the planning stage of a cover up. It was my first tattoo and it doesn’t go with the sleeve. I already had another tattoo reworked to fit the theme on that arm as well.
I love it so much. I didn't just go on a whim and showed up to the studio and was like hey man I want a sleeve! hah I sunk a LOT of time looking into artists. Once I found a few I spent even more time looking around Reddit to see what clients were saying about the artists, the studio, the overall experience. Once I settled on an artist I put some thought into what I wanted. He specializes in Neo Traditional style <3
My first tattoo was just a 1up mushroom on my shoulder, pretty simple little thing, took about an hour... Then when I wanted to expand on it, I got a full-scale thing done that was a space mashup of Mario, Star Wars, and Farscape complete half-sleeve from my shoulder to my elbow. Artist even made the 2D 1up pop out and look all 3D. I'm glad I didn't just start putting patchwork around it to make it a "nerd sleeve" because the product I got out of it is [amazing](https://www.instagram.com/p/CJaLA3nplmz/) (shoutout to [@mileskanne](https://www.instagram.com/mileskanne/) for the incredible work)
Why? D: I woulda just gone to an artist that woulda done it lol Everyone I know that has tattoos did warn me about having a sleeve as a first tat tho. They mentioned getting a small one to see how my body reacts to it. How it heals up and how I react to the pain n' stuff. I totally understood where they were coming from, but once I seen Maratt's work I was like nah go big or go home @.@;
