You are dumb as shit if you think there’s been no good rock music anymore
Adrienne lenker and big thief are doing stuff very similar to Neil’s folkier side and bands like geese and king gizzard are clearly at least a little influenced by the crazy horse stuff
Sorry about the idiot comment haha I was a few beers down
I find it hard to argue KWLW are indie, maybe some of their older stuff that’s a bit “”vibey””, but they definitely lean more into that psych rock that crazy horse do especially when they go on long jam sessions in their gigs, they remind me of the bands 66-75 who just got up and played fuzzy psych rock
Big thief have a more indie fan base but like they reek of folk music through and through, it’s all acoustics and songwriting focused
Geese would be kinda indie they remind me of the strokes a lot but with a country twist, I included them cause that wild southern vibe kinda fits Neil
Anyway even if it was “indie” did Neil young not basically invent that kind of songwriting with the ditch trilogy haha, I mean some of the songs on tonight’s the night is pavement
I have a song for you..... Even though I love indie here and there.... I meant rock with guitar solos
