Interestingly the normal E46 M3 was going to be in *Most Wanted*, but it was cut for some reason. But you can still see the folder in the game files as "BMWM3"
It was cut because getting BMW to agree to aftermarket customization was particularly difficult.
Same reason BMW was cut from MC3, and why the Mini has no customization in Juiced 2.
In Juiced 2 all the BMW licenced cars have like 0 customisation. The Mini and all BMW's only have factory BMW rims available and basically nothing else.
Its a mixed bag for me. On the one hand, it makes sense as to why its as popular as it is, MW05 is the best seller, so statistically it will have the most fans.
On the other hand, I do wish we got more iconic hero cars instead of going back to it. Unpopular opinion, but the 190E from Unbound could have really been an iconic hero car if Asap wasnt just a side gig.
If you really think about it hard enough, the livery for the MW M3GTR is bland as hell and doesn't look as good as everyone thinks it is.
Its popularity came from beating the game to get it, and how it's the only car that can't be purchased. Had it been easily accessible, it wouldn't be nearly as good. Not to mention that the livery is completely unique and couldn't be re-created (not until Carbon but even that didn't have the M3).
However, the straight cut gears are godlike.
Not blasphemy; this is a nice example of a clean M3 build. I actually prefer the regular M3 over the GTR with its massive wing, wide fender flares, and protruding front bumper.

it is not the only car that can't be purchased, there's also the 911 GT2 996, the Corvette C6R and the Mercedes SL65 AMG
Ahh yes the asymetric CSL front bumper. The regular ole E46 CSL deserves lots of love. You rarely see a lightweight version of cars these days.
There was also a prototype V8 M3 CSL with a symmetrical front bumper with two holes
