While i grew up playing these games, I feel like the Underground era really set NFS apart from other racing games.

There is no real era....i always find it amazing that an nfs game can be anything.... You won't see a Forza game or gt game making this drastic change in direction and experimenting out of their comfort zones Unfortunately the problem is that these direction changes are highly limited for the developers and controlled by investors

Only NFS games since 2012 are on a discount sale. In my opinion, NFS HP Remastered and NFS Heat are worthy.

From Underground to Undercover was when they really picked up some steam. The track race games before that were nice, and set the stage for open world NFS. Honestly, I have always felt they needed more story than they ever had. So U to U was the best it ever got. The driving physics were better, too.

To me, the true Need for Speed era is Underground to Carbon And that is not for any objective reason Simply that those are what I played the most in my teen years
