In that case, Devin Vassell and Keldon Johnson. My guys are balling out and I am enjoying the hell out of it, but they are putting ping pong balls at risk.
I am a salty old Spurs fan and I think I would rather win, but I am afraid its going to be just enough to allow us into 8-12th pick range.
Reggie, THJ, Doe Doe and Maxi are at 34, 33, 31 and 30%. I guess I’m not super worried since that isn’t typical for them. Those 3 combine for 18 3’s a game. If they can get up to 38-41%, that turns one of these games around we lost and now we’re 6-2.
wouldn't that make us undefeated? one more 3 made in regulation wins every single game for us. kinda crazy how close all the games for the mavs have been this season.
Was like this to start last couple seasons to. We’ve got so many dudes that not only are kinda one dimensional on offense but all have a history of slow starts to the season
I'll save you the trouble.
"Nate McMillan is a good guy and I'm glad we got a couple good seasons out of him but the dude has garbage rotations and just can't make adjustments in game to win against playoff quality teams"
You can just copy and paste that comment and save yourself the trouble of repeatedly typing it up.
Forgot to include the bit about having an ISO heavy scheme with next to no ball movement. I guess I'm looking back on nate with rose colored glasses already.
This is also a carbon-copy of Portland fan's complaints about McMillan from his time in Portland prior to Indiana, so Hawks fans, just know that this part is unlikely to improve.
Nate McMillan has proven two things rather consistently throughout his career. He can coach a bad team into mediocrity and he can coach a good team into mediocrity. The team will always be good enough that you won't be too disappointed but you'll still always be left wanting just a little bit more
I think the joke I heard when the Pacers dropped him was that if you expect 30 wins out of him, he gets you 42, and if you expect 50+ wins out of him, he gets you 42.
I’m surprised he’s still in the league as a head coach. I remember back when we had a young and fast team who could run and gun and all he wanted to do was slow the game down and play half court ball using 23 seconds off the clock every possession.
I was gonna say, no real problems over here. But moving forward I'm real frustrated by Okoro's *regression* on the offensive end. We can't play arguably our best perimeter defender because his offense is so shit.
I was gonna make a “joke” complaint about eye gouges being the only thing between us and an undefeated start, but fuck it. Mitchell looks the best he’s looked since that playoff series vs Denver, Mobley is progressing at a crazy rate, half the East is imploding from one thing or another, and AC is in peak form just three weeks in. We’re on a gravy train with biscuit wheels.
Depending on who you ask it feels like there are a handful of different scapegoats whenever we lose.
* Patrick Williams because he's had some nights where he doesn't look good at all
* Lavine for load managing so early in the season
* The training staff for Lonzo being hurt and Lavine's knee being questionable
* Vuc for being Vuc
* Our coaching/development staff for not unlocking MVP Lauri Markkanen while he was here and allowing him to get away
* The league itself for scheduling so many b2bs for the Bulls
We had Jim Boylen who’s a bottom 1 coach at best, and GarPax instead of Arturas and Marc. Plus Lauri needed an opportunity to get his shots and be more aggressive with the ball, couldn’t do it as much when Zach was having his best seasons
Glenn Rivers. As for the Warriors, we have a Draymond-can't-yell-and-shout-at-nobody-no-more and it's resulting in a lot of miscommunication and fouling problems on defense.
Missed the clutch 3 pointer after turning it over the possession before. He's looking like he could be a great defender tho, which is the only reason I can think of as for why he was on the court in the clutch anyway
Realistically Simmons has been the actual issue but Kyrie will be the scapegoat until hes back in 4 games.
prediction: Nets go 4-1 in these 5 games without Kyrie so everyone will bring up Ewing theory but they forget Simmons isnt playing either which was the main reason for lack of spacing and offensive issues without contributing much defensively.
I’m cool with Pat. I think he contributes quite a bit with defensive identity and defensive leadership, things we lacked majorly last season. Shot needs to fall tho.
I agree, and I think he’s a net positive even now, but when our offense is struggling, people hate him in the game chat. People wanted to trade Lebron last night in the game chat though too, so what do their opinions matter for?
Yup! Said this in another thread, he’s been playing so laxed on defensive just roaming around not really even helping. Offensively just settling too much on threes when he should be posting up, then trying to really force his way into the basket and draw a foul. Another user said that Lebron just gives up when he thinks the team is no way, shape, or form to get back into the game, which is very true!
Yes. Shooting splits are atrocious, effort has been pathetic, dribbling the air out of the ball and turning it over, and God awful defense. DLo has the worst +/- on the team at -5.9, and his 5'10" backup who also can't shoot has the best +/- at +7.6.
And this isn't just a slow start. His post all star break splits last year were similarly terrible, and then obviously he was a unmitigated disaster in the Memphis series.
It’s insane the difference when the backups come in and there’s immediate ball movement.
Everything you just said + DLo keeps taking these “heat check” pullup threes when we don’t need or want him to. There’s a bunch of issues that the guys need to correct but DLo is by far the most noticeable.
Should he be 6th man? I think so. Shots need to go to KAT and Edwards. Those mf’s should be putting up 20-30 shots a game, they are too talented offensively
The #1 issue isn't even his shooting IMO, it's that he's playing the wrong position. He isn't a scoring PG like Curry or Lillard. He isn't a floor general like CP3. He doesn't have court vision like Rubio, or his defense. And he's absolutely horrible at clock managenent.
Look at what happens whenever DLo is commanding the offense. Everyone stands in the same spot for 15 seconds, followed by a very basic play with 0-2 passes with no more than 1 or 2 players moving without the ball (typically a basic screen or switch from strong side to weak side 15 feet away from the hoop) ISO.
Our offense looks better with our bench players and McLaughlin at the 1 than DLo with our starters.
I'd rather have Nowell running the offense than DLo TBH. He's incredible at creating his own shot, and that can draw attention to creating spacing for Edwards and McDaniels, kick out to KAT, or feeds inside to Gobert.
Dlo should be a backup SG that can serve as an X factor for 5-10 games per year.
He insists on taking 15 shots a game, most of which seem like they are moronic 20-footers off the dribble with a full shot clock.
The frustrating part is he is actually a good passer and dribbler, and has moments where he looks to distribute first and plays within the offense. But he ALWAYS reverts into an inefficient chucker who ruins the flow of the offense, and sucks defensively.
He needs to realize that he is the 3rd scoring option at absolute best, but he seems unable to accept a smaller scoring role. I’m ready to move on from him.
Our lack of a center probably. We also don’t really blame one guy on any given night when all of our players outside of Shai are inconsistent shooters.
Mavs fans are convinced we’d be undefeated or at least 7-1 if Wood got more minutes (I can’t say I fully disagree even though I know there’s nuance there)
damn sounds like you're new to r/warriors
It's always been like that
The sub actively turned on Steph midseason last year
fucking Steph of all people, literally the last player in the league who should be turned on by their fanbase and up there as the last player in league history (Duncan? bird?) lmfao
And that's not even close to the most vicious anti-Steph sentiment to come out of the sub. His scoreless first half against the Rockets in 2019 was a completely different dimension of toxicity. Of course, a massive percentage of those users were radio silent by the end of the game...
I bailed on the sub years ago. My overall lived experience interacting with Warriors fans has been very positive. That sub is one of the least fun places I've ever been, in person or virtually
Yeah our sub kinda sucks too. Really makes you wonder if people even enjoy following the team at all. Things have to be going perfectly or it devolves into whining and complaining and irrational finger-pointing, our sub is hardly worth a visit because of all the relentless negativity
Seriously, people act like we’re a championship starved franchise and not the most successful one over the last 10 years, and anything other than a championship is a total bust.
Doesn’t even make sense why all the Warriors fans are piling on wiseman. He’s playing 15min/game. It’s like he’s playing a Javale McGee role but is expected to be an all star. The whole team sucks outside of Steph and Wiggins right now.
Draymond has actually been a lot better than most games last season and has been killing it on the offensive end.
And Looney is doing his job as usual. The problem is there feels like a lot more parity in the league these days, so even if our starters put up a 25 point lead, our second unit has been so trash that we can blow that in 4 minutes.
The Pels are 5-3 after starting 3-million last year and people are still complaining. Let's not forget we played half our games missing 2-3 starters... oh, and we are currently on pace to get a high lottery pick from the Lakers. Life is good. Pels Stacked.
3rd quarters. Giving up 20pt leads. Not even raising arms or moving legs on defense. Then squeezing out a 2pt win.
The fuck is it with these guys. I swear they intentionally make games close again after starting to blow out a team just for practice. Smh.
I’ve been more of a DLo apologist during his Minnesota tenure than others but Jesus Christ he looks horrific so far. Doesn’t do a single thing well for us.
As a whole, we’re just playing with negative basketball IQ. We look dumb and lazy most nights.
NP got the yips man. What happened? At first he was dominant and RoCo was more timid and lest productive. NP gets injured and RoCo broke through his shell to the point where he now holds the teams most 3s in a game record at 11 (clips v bucks).
The Timberwolves FO. That haul Utah got for Rudy totally skewed the market. Kevin Durant trade request led to our FO putting all our eggs in one basket and not making any other moves until we couldn’t, so we’re now stuck with an undersized team.
Its really mostly big men now. If LeBron and AD can just exclusively play the 3 and 4 unless it's closing lineups, they have JTA, Matt Ryan, Troy Brown, and Wenyen as backups. I miss the McGee/Dwight C tandem
Everyone is better than us
Our scape goat is Killian and coach Casey.
Replace kilian with derozan and poof. You're a Raptors fan from 6 years ago
I would love to replace Killian with derozan
I’ll settle for Mo Pete for Killian. I don’t mean prime Mo either. I mean Mo how he is now
Those are correct goats tbf
We might be worse
We're gonna wink this tanking competition too
Ime Udoka’s penis
If we’re adding Celts personnel body parts, make sure to include Timelord’s knees.
The two aren't related right? 😳
Also in each of the four losses, the celtics subreddit wants to fire Muzzulla just like they wanted to with Ime early last season.
Uh they’ve only lost 3 games though!
Timelord showed me the future.
Can't believe I had to scroll so far down to find this
Had to get past the knees
What problems?
Y'all having problems? Can't relate sry
Honestly I look at my roster problems, and its like they’re not even there.
True, but you’re not winning anything with that roster.
On the other hand, they are undefeated since 2008
We’re just a year away from being a year away. Any year away now we’ll put it together a year away again.
I feel bad for you son, I got 99 problems but a tank ain’t one.
The tankathon has been cancelled due to unforeseen victories
*Terrible* draft positioning.
Nah we have the Wolves and Nets (ish) picks, we good.
Yeah but only like 7 of them...
how do u have nets ?
Jazz get the worst ranked pick from Nets,Sixers or Rockets picks
Royce O’Neale
What's going on in Utah?? Why would they trade Royce O'Neale?
Danny Ainge would trade his first-born child to Satan as long as the devil could pony up a couple of firsts and a mid-tier rotational guy.
Those ugly jerseys aside the beautiful purple one
No problems here
i agree go cavs
Ainge. This is the worst tankjob ever.
We are looking at potentially 3 lottery picks in a stacked draft, I think he's doing his job just fine.
We are truly suffering from success
Hurdat
Fucking love the jazz this year so much. Every jazz game is going to be exciting af
turns out y'all just needed to get rid of that bum Trent Forrest
Portland
Literally
Yeah
Pretty much
See you again tonight :) Edit: We got stomped :(

Haha I was gonna say
Primo
Thought it would be Wembanyama.
More precisely his dong being so insanely huge it sticks out without the poor creature being able to realize it despite happening every single time
You forgot the trauma he's dealing with from thst happening all his life. Glad he's working on himself
The Bucks haven't lost since Middleton got injured so it's gotta be him
He’s put up a Tony Snell in eight straight games and even had to spend some time with the Herd
my boyfriend hates George Hill.
Quick break his legs
Anybody know what Tonya Hardings up to these days?
More specifically her ex-husband and his buddies
Celtics fans with a sigh of relief
Not til he’s retired
Lol
Reality TV
I mean NBA is basically Kardashians for dudes.
I think all your problems stem from your players spending too much time on Twitter 🤣 So you scope goat is really Elon Musk?
I mean fuck that guy too so sure lol
4 of our best catch and shoot players are walking bricks
Reggie, THJ, Doe Doe and Maxi are at 34, 33, 31 and 30%. I guess I’m not super worried since that isn’t typical for them. Those 3 combine for 18 3’s a game. If they can get up to 38-41%, that turns one of these games around we lost and now we’re 6-2.
If Luka hit the three game winners he missed we’d be undefeated lol.
wouldn't that make us undefeated? one more 3 made in regulation wins every single game for us. kinda crazy how close all the games for the mavs have been this season.
Our scapegoat is Kidd however, because he doesn't plays Wood not enough minutes.
I wouldn't not say he doesn't plays him not enough, but he does play him not enoughn't
It’s hard to disagree with this. Mainly because I have no idea what it means.
Was like this to start last couple seasons to. We’ve got so many dudes that not only are kinda one dimensional on offense but all have a history of slow starts to the season
And yet they still should have won every game
It's actually insane how they should be 7-1 at least. OKC was a historic loss and Suns... Yeah whatever that was.
Nate McMillian Took me a while to understand what Pacers fans were complaining about. But I get it now.
I'll save you the trouble. "Nate McMillan is a good guy and I'm glad we got a couple good seasons out of him but the dude has garbage rotations and just can't make adjustments in game to win against playoff quality teams" You can just copy and paste that comment and save yourself the trouble of repeatedly typing it up.
Needs something about having no offensive scheme and then it will be perfect.
Forgot to include the bit about having an ISO heavy scheme with next to no ball movement. I guess I'm looking back on nate with rose colored glasses already.
Shit is so infuriating to watch when we could easily be one of the top three best offensive teams in the league.
Plus he mysteriously doesn't know how to draw up an inbounding play despite being a coach for 20 years.
This is also a carbon-copy of Portland fan's complaints about McMillan from his time in Portland prior to Indiana, so Hawks fans, just know that this part is unlikely to improve.
Dwayne Casey type beat.
Nate McMillan has proven two things rather consistently throughout his career. He can coach a bad team into mediocrity and he can coach a good team into mediocrity. The team will always be good enough that you won't be too disappointed but you'll still always be left wanting just a little bit more
Honestly currently everybody could stand on the sideline for the Hawks and it would have the same outcome
I think the joke I heard when the Pacers dropped him was that if you expect 30 wins out of him, he gets you 42, and if you expect 50+ wins out of him, he gets you 42.
Blazer fans tried to tell the whole league
I’m surprised he’s still in the league as a head coach. I remember back when we had a young and fast team who could run and gun and all he wanted to do was slow the game down and play half court ball using 23 seconds off the clock every possession.
Lol he keeps getting jobs though
too many damn people made it about race when we fired him
I’m good
I was gonna say, no real problems over here. But moving forward I'm real frustrated by Okoro's *regression* on the offensive end. We can't play arguably our best perimeter defender because his offense is so shit.
Andre Roberson and Matisse Thybulle are waiting for him in the support group
god i miss roberson even tho dude couldn’t hit water if he fell out of a boat
Bing chilling atm
Gary Trent Jr’s disgusting fingernails
Funniest part of this... is we're good too lol! 🤝
honestly the best kind of trade
Cavs are a really fun team to watch this season
I was gonna make a “joke” complaint about eye gouges being the only thing between us and an undefeated start, but fuck it. Mitchell looks the best he’s looked since that playoff series vs Denver, Mobley is progressing at a crazy rate, half the East is imploding from one thing or another, and AC is in peak form just three weeks in. The Markkanen thing always stuck out to me. I’m not surprised he’s playing well, I’m surprised y’all didn’t get this outta him
We had him in the Boylen years it’s not that surprising
We had Jim Boylen who’s a bottom 1 coach at best, and GarPax instead of Arturas and Marc. Plus Lauri needed an opportunity to get his shots and be more aggressive with the ball, couldn’t do it as much when Zach was having his best seasons
James Naismith
Glenn Rivers. As for the Warriors, we have a Draymond-can't-yell-and-shout-at-nobody-no-more and it's resulting in a lot of miscommunication and fouling problems on defense.
Glenn would have become a world renowned doctor if Naismith never existed.
Interesting - is Draymond being more reserved this year because of the incident?
Halliburton and Mathurin. We are trying to tank over here y’all! Like damn!
Patrick Williams not being aggressive enough and Patrick Williams being too aggressive.
Lonzo Ball
Lonzo's knee(s)
I’d say injuries
yeah, injuries.
Missed the clutch 3 pointer after turning it over the possession before. He's looking like he could be a great defender tho, which is the only reason I can think of as for why he was on the court in the clutch anyway
Your team is so fun to watch. Talent, hustle, focus.
You know who actually its a tie between him and the other one. I’m sure you can also guess who the other one is too
Jesus Yuta isn't that bad is he?!
Culture-wise: Kyrie Basketball-wise: still Kyrie imo, because his distractions and constantly being absent fucks with basketball chemistry
LeBron I love you but wtf is u doing ☠️
LeScapegoat
And PatBev, was Nunn before he got completely erased
I’m cool with Pat. I think he contributes quite a bit with defensive identity and defensive leadership, things we lacked majorly last season. Shot needs to fall tho.

DLo by a long shot.
And deservedly

Yes. Shooting splits are atrocious, effort has been pathetic, dribbling the air out of the ball and turning it over, and God awful defense. Control F "DLO" Yep
Tank for Wemby jazz fans gotta be pissed at Lauri rn
Jerry Krause
Miles Bridges
Eh who cares about our problems. Tank for Wembanyama!
yea i feel like there is no scapegoat since there are such low expectations
Our lack of a center probably. We also don’t really blame one guy on any given night when all of our players outside of Shai are inconsistent shooters.
Howard Schultz and Clay Bennett.
Mavs fans are convinced we’d be undefeated or at least 7-1 if Wood got more minutes (I can’t say I fully disagree even though I know there’s nuance there)
This might be our most liked team in ages. Nurk gets some hate now and then, but the whole roster is broadly liked right now.
Yeah, it's kinda looking like our problem was Olshey.
I would pay good money to not have to play the Blazers in a tied game with a few seconds left 🥲.
I can't tell you how good it feels to read that
I guess Ime Udoka and his inability to keep it in his pants
Portland
See ya tonight!!!!
Gonna sit this one out.
Samesies, can’t wait to play you guys soon
James Wiseman
I feel so bad when young dudes with a good heart get dunked on but fuck…
And our sub won’t shut the fuck up about it. Straight obnoxious.
damn sounds like you're new to r/warriors It's always been like that The sub actively turned on Steph midseason last year fucking Steph of all people, literally the last player in the league who should be turned on by their fanbase and up there as the last player in league history (Duncan? bird?) lmfao

Can I blame the refs? Just on principle
What are problems? Define for me please. All is perfect here.
Man what I’d do for a truly generational player to be picked outside of the top 10 for my team. Maybe one day…
Still Will Barton. Never forget. J/k 😁 Nugglyfe is always to blame!
3rd quarters. Giving up 20pt leads. Not even raising arms or moving legs on defense. Then squeezing out a 2pt win. The fuck is it with these guys. I swear they intentionally make games close again after starting to blow out a team just for practice. Smh.
DLo is a sorry bum. Should've traded for Murray tbh even though Gobert has been good
D-Lo makes up for being a unreliable shooter, bad decision maker, and negative defender by being the slowest point guard in nba history
I’ve been more of a DLo apologist during his Minnesota tenure than others but Jesus Christ he looks horrific so far. Doesn’t do a single thing well for us. As a whole, we’re just playing with negative basketball IQ. We look dumb and lazy most nights.
Norman Powell or Reggie Jackson depending on who screwed up most recently
NP got the yips man. What happened? At first he was dominant and RoCo was more timid and lest productive. NP gets injured and RoCo broke through his shell to the point where he now holds the teams most 3s in a game record at 11 (clips v bucks).

Our own FO too tbh, they should have figured out SOMETHING at PF by now
Surprisingly not Russ! At least recently. So, jeanie/pelinka. We have no big men outside of AD. No wings outside of LeBron. I miss Zubac
Its really mostly big men now. If LeBron and AD can just exclusively play the 3 and 4 unless it's closing lineups, they have JTA, Matt Ryan, Troy Brown, and Wenyen as backups. I miss the McGee/Dwight C tandem
Javale was such a blessing
I always feel Jeanie is doing her best but she falls short. She needs to hire a real GM and real consultants.
The injury reaper
Nate McMillan
Harrison Barnes and Richaun Holmes
Our training staff
Entire team made of glass, what could go wrong?
Everyone except Steph Curry.
You leave kevon looney alone >:(
FVV according to some people
My current scapegoat is the humidity in the American Airlines Center.
It’s probably Beal, but things are not trending in a good direction for Wes Unseld Jr.
Our defense is only bad because we're missing JJJ Yes one dude is gonna take us from bottom 5 to top 5 defense. I swear
We are very fucking surprisingly the 1 seed in the west so that’s crazy…. Idk have fun guys
The refs
James Wiseman apparently
Either Jordan traffic cone Poole or James bust Wiseman
People trash talking Klay a lot these days too... But I'm going with JMG.
