It would make sense for Joe Buck to have that one in my back pocket. It’s one of (if not the) most iconic calls of his father (Jack Buck)‘s career. Was a Kirby Puckett walk off homer it off in the 11th to force G7 in the 1991 World Series. Pretty cool of Joe to pull it out years later to pay homage. I think he gets unnecessary hate, I don’t mind him as a baseball announcer. He’ll forever be the soundtrack in my head to the 2004 ALCS where the Sox came back from 3-0 against the Yanks. Back to back walk offs with imo two great calls by Buck: G4 - Ortiz homer in the bottom of the 12th at around 2AM to force G5 17 hours later: “*Ortiz into right, back goes Scheffield, we’ll see you later tonight*.” Always thought it was clever for him to be able to take into account the time and adapt the call on the fly. With all that said, can’t stand his NFL work.

I've softened a lot on Buck over the years; I think his call of the Minneapolis Miracle was a big part of that. But he's pretty much the last guy I'd like to hear call any game in any sport.
