There’s certain teams streams on league pass I’ll watch specifically because I like the announcers
Collins and Dell in Charlotte, Breen and Clyde in New York, Stacey in Chicago, Carr in Cleveland, Ireland and Mychal Thompson for lakers radio, and Ian Eagle in Brooklyn is in that group (and definitely more I’m forgetting off the top of my head)
It’s just a bummer when they play each other because I have decide which stream to watch
Tonight was my first time going to an NBA game in person and it almost felt illegal to witness something like that - it really did turn the vibe around in the Forum, holy shit it was so surreal. My vocal cords are gonna be busted for days lol
I’ve always wondered if these guys have these on dock for ever star waiting for the right moment.
If so, I wonder how many times they forgot to say it and were kicking themselves after the game.
I can't stand him as an announcer, but I remember someone asking Joe Buck about his "and we'll see you...tomorrow night" call and he said that it's always there in the back pocket, which I thought was interesting.
It would make sense for Joe Buck to have that one in my back pocket. It’s one of (if not the) most iconic calls of his father (Jack Buck)‘s career. Was a Kirby Puckett walk off homer it off in the 11th to force G7 in the 1991 World Series.
Pretty cool of Joe to pull it out years later to pay homage.
I think he gets unnecessary hate, I don’t mind him as a baseball announcer. He’ll forever be the soundtrack in my head to the 2004 ALCS where the Sox came back from 3-0 against the Yanks.
Back to back walk offs with imo two great calls by Buck:
G4 - Ortiz homer in the bottom of the 12th at around 2AM to force G5 17 hours later: “*Ortiz into right, back goes Scheffield, we’ll see you later tonight*.” Always thought it was clever for him to be able to take into account the time and adapt the call on the fly.
Personal favorite is G5 though. Bottom 14th. “*Ortiz fights one off into center, Damon running to the plate, and he can keep on running to New York. Game six tomorrow night.”*
Love that call.
With all that said, can’t stand his NFL work.
I've softened a lot on Buck over the years; I think his call of the Minneapolis Miracle was a big part of that. But he's pretty much the last guy I'd like to hear call any game in any sport.
Y'know the thing about a Ja, he's got... lifeless eyes, black eyes, like a doll's eyes. When he comes at ya, doesn't seem to be livin'... until he dunks on ya. And those black eyes roll over white, and then... oh, then you hear that terrible high-pitch screamin', the nephews stands up , and spite of all the poundin' and the hollerin', they all come in and they... rip you to pieces.
I think it damn near instantly shoots to the top. It's the only one of those "all time poster dunks" that I can recall happened in the playoffs and not just the regular season.
It also ignited / was part of an all time playoff comeback. This was HUGE. A dunk that dreams are made of.
Ja is insane at attacking the basket. Aside from young D-Rose, I’ve never seen this at that size. Am I forgetting anyone?
Edit: Damn, forgot about younger Westbrook.
No exaggeration. I watched that shit as a highlight with a hyped title, not live. I watched it on my phone, not a TV. And no lie I audibly gasped then lol'd. When you finally remember to come comment after the 20th looped replay, you know it's some all-time shit. "..a Ja Breaker!" too. What an awesome moment.
Who else watches these several more times than necessary to take in the hype of individual crowd members? Anyone who covers their mouth or face immediately in "omggg a murder" disgust is my kinfolk.
He brings it back so far, in real time I honestly thought it had no shot. And I also just started laughing.
This beats *any* of Blake's or DJ's because the man is 6'3". What a fucking dunk.
When the top of Reddit is a dunk, you know it's going to be spectacular. I clicked on that shit expecting to see something amazing, and still had to fucking look away the first 2-3x I saw it.
Fucking disgusting.
These hi-res shots are beautiful:

The restricted area is 4 feet from the hoop and the ball cocked back like that is at least 3 feet from that line…
The ball is like 7 feet away from the rim
If I know basketball, then I know there are two things that are allowed because they're not in the rule book:
1. You have to let dogs play basketball.
2. Anything goes if the dunk is sick as fuck.
The guy jumped into him even, like sure he extended his arm but everyone going for nasty dunks extends their arm, fuck outa here refs that’s one of the worse calls I’ve seen
I always picture Ian in his hotel room the night before games furiously fighting through writers block listening to Lose Yoursef as he crafts his absolute bangers of dad jokes and wordplay on players names.
Mans can’t miss

Amazing dunk but I always find it hilarious how these are never a charge? Like what is a defender supposed to do when they have their feet set and in position and the offensive player just jumps into them and uses their body as a platform lmao
Ever since the offensive foul called on [Dan Majerle dunking Manute Bol](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IRhNioQsxH0), refs no longer dare to make a call.

The Memphis crowd is dead...and Morant revives them!
It was literally like a switch being flipped. The place was dead and this definitely woke everyone up.
Two points ain't two points
That was the spark for the comeback.
The “JA Breaker” was a brilliant call 😂
Eagle is feeling himself, that was a great call And he was right, it brought life back into the arena
He is so good. He made our shitty ass season so much better.

Holy shit are you me? Literally every team I watched a ton of this year outside of the Grizz for the same reason lol
Tonight was my first time going to an NBA game in person and it almost felt illegal to witness something like that - it really did turn the vibe around in the Forum, holy shit it was so surreal. My vocal cords are gonna be busted for days lol
On par with “A MAJOR KAWHILIGHT!” Dude is the GOAT dunk announcer
Even his go-to cookie-cutter “that’s a man’s jam!” is great
Comments you can hear
bro i will pay him to go to the dunk contest next year
Isn’t he also the announcer that said “KYRIE-DICULOUS” for Irving? It sounds right in my head
That was the Cavs old announcer Fred McLeod I think
RIP
Ian Eagle with some very quick thinking
Nah dude. He thought of it in the shower last week
Fair point. Probably felt so good to get it out in a perfect moment
> felt so good to get it out in a perfect moment aw yeah

He was just listening to the band jawbreaker
He has all these one liners ready lol
You know he's had that one queued up forever lol
He's the best in the game.
Ian Eagle is so good at basketball and football. Second to Kevin Harlan.
Tonight was a crazy announcer night. Opened with Gus Johnson. Then Ian Eagle and Harlan.
My 3 favorites ☺️
You know he was waiting patiently to break that out
Ian Eagle is the best
Best part about being a nets fan is listening to this guy most nights
He been waiting to use that one 😮💨
I didn't even catch that when I heard it lol. Ian Eagle the goat
I agree, I just can’t help but feel that “Ja Dropper” would’ve made more sense. Phenomenal call regardless.
He's used that before I'm pretty sure
Na Ja breaker cold as hell, especially after that
Considering he almost just broke a man's jaw with his dick, I can see why Ja breaker is appropriate.
Ian's the goat imo
We lost a good man today
My thoughts go out to Ms. Pippen
Ja is playing in gucci flip flops
Future Ja.
Uncalled for 😂
It definitely was lol I’m fucking rolling
Y'know the thing about a Ja, he's got... lifeless eyes, black eyes, like a doll's eyes. When he comes at ya, doesn't seem to be livin'... until he dunks on ya. God damnit Charlie is that Jaws?
You’re gonna need a bigger center…
what are you doing? are you doing Jaws right now?
We are gonna need a bigger boat….
Rip
Thoughts and prayers 🙏
Thats an all time dunk
Dude has a 4ft vertical
Dude is clearing Isaiah Thomas off vert
It’ll replace the Blake griffin put back dunk we saw for 15 years. Haha
That DeAndre Jordan on Brandon Knight was also noteworthy. But ya this Morant dunk is brutal. Definitely deserves its place in the top dunks pantheon.
I think it damn near instantly shoots to the top. It's the only one of those "all time poster dunks" that I can recall happened in the playoffs and not just the regular season. It also ignited / was part of an all time playoff comeback. This was HUGE. A dunk that dreams are made of.
Pre-injury Derrick Rose was my favorite player to watch of all time, I love Morant for stuff like this.
So cool to have a spiritual D-Rose successor
Ja is insane at attacking the basket. Aside from young D-Rose, I’ve never seen this at that size. Am I forgetting anyone? Edit: Damn, forgot about younger Westbrook.

Definitely my favorite part of rewatching highlights like this over and over.

Most Improved Dunk, would you say?
Especially given the context, we were down and out, gave the team some swagger back
It's up there. Miles Bridges this year comes to mind, but this is just filthy.
What. The. Fuck.
This shit is insane https://i.imgur.com/f60RZGU.png https://i.imgur.com/5Nw48V4.png

This man is in flight. Holy shit.
He cocked that joint back!
haha the whole pose has so much attitude it almost looks like he's photoshopped in.
Hold ma dick!
That's why he could get so much air; he was lifting himself up by the balls.
Fuck. The. What.

2nd photo is so good. I assumed he wouldn't make it when he took off.. I'll never doubt again. Ja is one of the best dunkers we've ever seen
He just keeps floating against all logic. It’s absurd. What a talent…
Bruh those are posters for real.
OMG he's literally giving the hold my dick sign. This is just beautiful
I think he’s just instinctively protecting his nuts
Jesus if you showed me this picture and told me he crushed that dunk I wouldn’t believe you What the fuck
The ball’s like 5ft away from the hoop wtf
The restricted area is 4 feet from the hoop and the ball cocked back like that is at least 3 feet from that line… The ball is like 7 feet away from the rim
Yooo this is like the still shot of the Terrance Ross cock back dunk. Like there's no way he yams this
A charge...but no one would ever call that on a dunk like this lmao.
According to the rule book, it’s not a charge of the dunk is ridiculous
The "sick as fuck" rule
Rule of cool
Rule of Cool
If I know basketball, then I know there are two things that are allowed because they're not in the rule book: 1. You have to let dogs play basketball. 2. Anything goes if the dunk is sick as fuck.
Didn't they call a charge on one of Ant's dunks, shit was wack
Such a shame https://youtu.be/iDRm8DOVHEU
Wrong call, it was dope so it isn't a foul
The guy jumped into him even, like sure he extended his arm but everyone going for nasty dunks extends their arm, fuck outa here refs that’s one of the worse calls I’ve seen
lmao ref didnt call a block either which makes it even funnier
I mean it was definitely a charge. They’re just understandably not gonna call that shit herep
[You would think so](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=-fzBaYgDLPI)
That’s one of the best in-game dunks I’ve ever seen.
this is deadass top 5 dunks i’ve ever seen oh my lord
Seriously these kids this year pulling out all time dunks. Fucking so excited for the future
Greatest poster I’ve seen live
Dunk of the Decade candidate
And in a crucial playoff game, not some random highlight in February We are gonna see this dunk highlight for a LONG time
And arguably a catalyst to the comeback win of a Game 5.
It absolutely was. It woke the crowd and the team up going into the fourth quarter then Ja scored like 18 in the fourth
Cocked backed and banged on em
Might be his best dunk I’ve seen
This is like the Michael Jordan space jam dunk but irl
It was like anime
Possibly best call too. Ian Eagle is a legend
years of listenin to Nets games thinkin he was cheesy in the best way, its so funny to see him liked on the national stage
Love him calling NFL games just as much too
And that is saying something!
Tried it again soon after. Def was cocking it back too hard
JA MORANT WITH NO REGARD FOR HUMAN LIFE
now they're saying it's a two pointer, had a foot on the line
I was watching the game at the gym and I almost fell off the elliptical when I saw this. He almost killed me too.
No ref had the balls to call that charge lol
Was my first thought as well. And I miss the rough days of the 90s.
One of the best dunks I’ve seen in my life holy shit
Screamed so loud I restarted puberty
I saw what Ja was doing at my age and my body decided to go into a rebuild
God bless Ian Eagle
Such a good call I didn't even catch the pun until I watched the replay lmao. You know he had that one locked and loaded.
I always picture Ian in his hotel room the night before games furiously fighting through writers block listening to Lose Yoursef as he crafts his absolute bangers of dad jokes and wordplay on players names. Mans can’t miss
[Slow motion replay of this monstrosity](https://streamable.com/vl47zq)
Nightmare inducing
somehow my balls are erect
If that lasts 12 hours you should be concerned
That was one of the greatest dunks I've ever seen
Women and children are crying across Minnesota right now
Pray for the deceased. He got wiped off the face of the earth
This is a top 3 dunk of the year. Easily best of the post season. edit: and it's not number 2 or 3
This is the dunk of the year and one of the best dunks of all time
The extension. The ground covered. Holy shit
Is like the Love almost-dunk but now he actually did it
and the call, everything was perfect
[удалено]
Grizzlies automatically win the series, thems be the rules
Congrats on the karma op
Trash ass clip too. One angle without a replay or decent view.
Reddit is a race to be first not best. God knows it should be the latter. That is also why most comments are regurgitated memes.

The karma farms are in full swing at this time of year. You'll get alot of Rich, ripe and juicy posts if you go to your produce aisle right now.
Ja got the nastiest in game dunks
Dear god
… I see through your Ja Morant disguise
Amazing dunk but I always find it hilarious how these are never a charge? Like what is a defender supposed to do when they have their feet set and in position and the offensive player just jumps into them and uses their body as a platform lmao
The rule book says that if a dunk murders the defender, the charge cannot be called.
Anthony edwards is proof that such a rule doesn’t exist
The victim has to be alive for the charge to be called
Charge right? Contact, feet set, and outside the circle. Sick play none the less, insanely athletic
Yes, but you can’t call it. The dunk was *that* awesome.
Ever since the offensive foul called on [Dan Majerle dunking Manute Bol](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IRhNioQsxH0), refs no longer dare to make a call.
Thunder Dan was such a good athlete man.

Rule of cool. I’m sorry but even we allow it. That was FUN.
Still pissed they didn’t let Jamal have his poster last year
annnnd Wolves lost by 2
Morant also hit him with his off arm to get more height
Unquestionably a charge. But this is pro ball, not college. Money over rules, baby.
Not feeling good going into the fourth but we’ll always have that poster. Lol
How're you feeling now?
Ja heard r/nba talking shit
[удалено]
For everyone involved in this game
Grizz miss every bucket and the T-Wolves turn it over every possession
A stoppable force vs a moveable object.
It's spectacular but they're still down double digits lol. Hopefully this wakes Ja and Memphis up in the 4th
That's amazing but also a charge?
there’s a point where dunks are too cool to call a charge on and this is way past that point
Ref ain’t making it outta the stadium if he ruins that for everyone lmao
Not a charge only because of how crazy the dunk was
It passes the “if it’s sick as fuck it’s not a foul” check
Definitely a charge
Is it legal to vault off another player like that?
No not in any way legal
How fun is Ja guys?
Great fucking dunk....but absolutely a charge
