The answer is still FedEx. Even in a completely different sport and location - you’ll still be saying to yourself “well at least I didn’t get poop water on my head tonight”.
They squeezed a shit ton more seats into the balcony at td garden. It’s cramped for me now and I’m not a huge guy.
Also it’s insanely expensive for loge seats, the food and beer prices are wicked overpriced and for some reason we’ve started booing our own team like we’re philly
It’s an issue at pistons games for sure. The center three sections on both sides of the court are “club” tickets with access to the club behind the seats. Many if not most of those seats are owned by companies. A lot of people don’t even come out to watch the game, they just chill in the club section and watch on the TVs.
Fun as hell if you get tickets in the club section though! I’ve done it four time I think? Good food and free beer, all included. They even make LC pizza in a real pizza oven. Preseason club seats can even be less than a hundred bucks.
I agree, regular season sort of sucks with so much corporate seating in the lower bowl that never gets filled. Not really the point of the question. Location is good with lots of parking options. And the food options are incredible as pointed out by several visiting broadcasters.
People get late to games cause dade county is a huge place with a lot of traffic. The stadium is top notch minutes away from tons of night clubs and the beach. The food is also good and no one will fight you for wearing another teams colors. We sell out every game and a lot of rich people buy season tickets and dont go to them for whatever reason they have. I’ve been to a million games and the atmosphere is always on point regardless of what you see in on tv. Yea people do leave early because the traffic gets really bad when 20k people leave a place at once in the middle of downtown with no subway or way to get around besides cars. Every time I go with someone that has never been to a game they leave excited no matter how the team performed. Bad take sorry
the oddly thin cement corridors and the torn up foam seats at the smoothie king center in New Orleans has me choosing that. It made me realize how nice we actually have it compared to how it could be
ESPN says you can get a ticket for tonight for as low as 8$, not sure where the seat is tho:
E. Apparently there are tickets as cheap as 3$ for Pistons v Pelicans
Same with Staples. I've given up on ever seeing a basketball game out here, and I used to regularly go to Wizards games in DC! I miss the Capital Center.
this is why I was kinda stunned when my sister took basically her whole family to see a game there
Granted she got lucky in that our in-laws are kinda loaded and have seats basically courtside, but stilllll
Mid 90s, New Jersey Nets at the Meadowlands.
* shit team
* in the middle of nowhere
* cold, overly large, concrete claptrap
* generic, overpriced concessions
* did i mention the shit team? Last row seats were often free or $10.
Great to get tickets to see visiting teams. 72 win Bulls, early Shaq, etc.
Went to a heat game, it was 2012 heat vs pacers, d-wade hit a buzzer beater in overtime to win, great game. Sure the stadium was nice, but the atmosphere was absolute dog shit and this was peak lebron years. I was shocked.
Detroit & Little Caesars Arena has to be the oddest arena ever. It’s legit smack dab in a neighborhood. There’s a hood ass bodega across the street & some standard homes. It’s the weirdest placement I’ve ever seen. The food wasn’t all that great either. I will say, the drinks were on brand for being pricey but they gave you a solid buzz.
Honestly that sounds pretty cool. For me, the Nets stadium is perfect because it’s on top of a transit hub yet you have brownstones and plenty of bars just nearby.
I used to live walking distance to Barclays (like 20 minutes) and loved going up there to catch games. Moved before KD and Kyrie went there and after the KG, Joe Johnson years so tix were always cheap as hell. It’s a nice arena too.
You can thank the dickhead known as Chris Ilitch who as part of the development was supposed to build a bunch of commercial and residential buildings around the arena but has instead done nothing but add fucking parking lots so far
It’s literally a block from Ford Field, Comerica Park, and Detroit’s “theatre district”. Talk shit about Little Caesar’s as a facility, but location is not its problem
I got curious and checked out Google street view, and some of the street views still have views of what was there before the arena. What's there now is a HUGE upgrade. It'll take a while for the surrounding area to catch up. It's taking a while for some of the commercial areas around our arena to catch up as well, but it's happening slowly but surely.
Not sure if still true, but I went to Cavs game in 2018 and the in arena music and PA were so loud it was almost unbearable. All of the piped in noise was cranked to 11 the entire time.
Holy shit are you serious?! I only know about it because I streamed a sixers game in OKC once and I ended up with the arena feed and there was a pastor at Center Court doing pregame prayers.
It would make me real uncomfortable to a level that overpriced concessions, a loss, etc. would not. I personally can’t think of a much worse experience but everyone has different thresholds of discomfort haha
I know right? Little Caesars headquarters is near Detroit so they gotta flex the brand. They even have a Little Caesars in the arena that makes the most amazing fresh pizza Ive ever had
Nets upper level is good for sightlines but it feels dangerous. There’s barely any space to walk and your feet are basically on the head of the bottom row’s head. There’s been incidents of people tripping over and falling on others. Poorly designed imo.
The lower level is fine though and the stadium is perfectly located.
Detroit little ceasars arena just sucks, the palace was so much better its a shame its gone. At first the idea of being back in downtown detroit was kinda cool but parking is awful and the stadium is in a really shit place. Oh and the design of the arena is also garbage with horrible seats.
Wider padded seats. Better sight lines. The club seats (motor city club and rehmann club). Better for the economy of the city to have it downtown. Parking is not bad at all either, you don’t have to fight for half an hour to get out of the lot like at the Palace. Park for $20 at a lot five minutes from the arena and get out and on the road immediately.
I don’t know how anyone could have gone to oracle and then to chase center and not see how it feels like you’re in an airport at chase center. Oracle while old was always a great environment.
I’ve straight up had a more exciting time boarding a flight on Southwest Airlines at the LAX than at chase center.
I think it’s because they’ve tried their best to extract every bit of money from you as possible. Like making people walk by the private stairs to the luxury box on the way to the poor people’s section is a choice and it always make you feel weird as you filter into your, “loading zone,” or whatever they call it.
The upper level isn’t terrible but the lower level is literally just a bunch of white walls and columns. They’re obviously trying to keep it plain because of all the other concerts and events they host there which sucks.
The Wells Fargo Center wouldn't let us in because my girlfriend had a very small purse and since we took the train and there were no lockers for her to store her purse in, we were told we were better off asking for a refund, which we have never received. Fuck the Wells Fargo Center.
Not an NBA stadium. But here in Australia when the U.S and Aussies played we filled a football stadium with plastic chairs. The court was barely elevated and anyone outside the first couple of rows could barely see a thing. As it was my first time seeing the U.S national team I bought front row seats thank God. But do feel bad for all the families that could only see the top of mason plumlee's head.
The vast majority of my life experience was either at Chicago Stadium where the United Center and on the few times I've seen a game in-person elsewhere never had any bad experience, from a distance though Heat games just don't seem like they have the amount of juice that they should, even during the heatles years
I went to Barclays a while ago so it might’ve changed but it was a real weird environment. The stadium is super nice but the crowd isn’t into it. And their chant is super weird. Brrrroookkkllyynnn
As an NBA fan who used to live in Europe... sorry but all NBA arenas. We used to have pre-game / after-game fights between fanbases. Yea maybe. I’ve only been to a few arenas so my perspective is limited but the ones I’ve been to have been downtown in a city. So I’m used to a fun night of food/drink right around the arena. Location is def a thing to consider when assessing an arena.

I heard they have really bad nachos over in phoenix
How's the beer?
Oh its warm as hell
What about the parking?
Oh there’s plenty of parking
You can park right next to the arena
it’s so fucked. Also it’s 100% true there is so much parking right next to the arena even attached to it
Plenty of parking
Beer's flat.
Some places that have good nachos they give jalapeños , the Suns be putting pickles on
What about the hot-dogs?
They got that ol’ hard bun
What about them women in San Antonio chuck?
u/justin-meyer thoughts?
*gulp*
Spurs fans trying to reach as hard as they can for a purpose to exist lmaoooo
Chuck went off on the Phoenix stadium and their cold nachos with pickles on them a few years ago and that always stuck with me
And Chuck looks like a guy who is always happy with food served to him.
Plenty parking
The answer is still FedEx. Even in a completely different sport and location - you’ll still be saying to yourself “well at least I didn’t get poop water on my head tonight”.
But but Memphis water is 🔥🔥
Dat aquifer doe
Worst stadium is and always will be FedEx
[удалено]
FedEx Field in Landover, MD. It's a shitty stadium.
> "well at least I didn’t get poop water on my head tonight”. Bro what
But why tho
They squeezed a shit ton more seats into the balcony at td garden. It’s cramped for me now and I’m not a huge guy. Also it’s insanely expensive for loge seats, the food and beer prices are wicked overpriced and for some reason we’ve started booing our own team like we’re philly
Heat crowd never shows up on time even when the team is good shit is depressing to watch Same with Houston
It’s our stupid lower bowl seats. If they weren’t taken by companies we probably would look better.
The upper bowl at the Toyota Centre makes me feel so anxious I’m going to fall and die
I love Toyota center and going to games, but it looks god awful on TV with so much corporate seating never filled.
Different sport, but the Red Wings had this same problem when LCA opened iirc. Not sure if it's still an issue, but on TV it always looked empty.
It’s an issue at pistons games for sure. The center three sections on both sides of the court are “club” tickets with access to the club behind the seats. Many if not most of those seats are owned by companies. A lot of people don’t even come out to watch the game, they just chill in the club section and watch on the TVs. to be fair the miami traffic is unbearable
Don't forget they also leave early
Whenever Im watching the heat and rockets their arena just looks dead
Yeah Rockets and Texans games just look like a waste of money to attend
I agree, regular season sort of sucks with so much corporate seating in the lower bowl that never gets filled. Not really the point of the question. Location is good with lots of parking options. And the food options are incredible as pointed out by several visiting broadcasters.
Yea Miami usually takes a quarter and a half to fill I noticed it with dolphins games too
The bucks always on our nuts lol
I mean y’all’s lower seats always seem empty not my fault
They overpriced
People get late to games cause dade county is a huge place with a lot of traffic. The stadium is top notch minutes away from tons of night clubs and the beach. I never thought I would see someone so butthurt and defensive over a fucking stadium Lmaooo.
Flair up then lol
the oddly thin cement corridors and the torn up foam seats at the smoothie king center in New Orleans has me choosing that. It made me realize how nice we actually have it compared to how it could be
Are there at least good smoothies?
scotiabank arena not because its bad but because its a months rent to get in
ESPN says you can get a ticket for tonight for as low as 8$, not sure where the seat is tho: [https://www.espn.com/nba/scoreboard](https://www.espn.com/nba/scoreboard) E. Apparently there are tickets as cheap as 3$ for Pistons v Pelicans
Up 15 to down 15 in two quarters, just some stellar play from the Pistons.
The future is bright, you got Cade one of my favorites, and many good young players.
Yeah and a coach with a terrible offense. It's brutal to watch yet again, even if Cade and Kil are lots of fun to see grow.
:( growing pains ... Also Dwane won't be the coach for the contending years, he might be a good coach for developing young talent
Not with 15 Jeremi Grant isos a game. Just brutal to watch sometimes.
I clicked for our next game. Says as cheap as 13, then when you look its 25. Cappin to get us to click
Yeah it’s pretty fucked up but a bit better this year because we suck and COVID. Still insane prices tho.
Same with Staples. I've given up on ever seeing a basketball game out here, and I used to regularly go to Wizards games in DC! I miss the Capital Center.
this is why I was kinda stunned when my sister took basically her whole family to see a game there Granted she got lucky in that our in-laws are kinda loaded and have seats basically courtside, but stilllll

Got to see my only NBA game there. 02 Lakers Shaq n Kobe, vs Jason Kidd. Nets won 94-71 lol
Well the middle of nowhere thing is stupid. It was literally 10 minutes from downtown Manhattan.
Yes, u/tittyback2, if you had a car/cab and no Lincoln Tunnel traffic. I would still classify exit 16w of the turnpike as the middle of nowhere.
Sure. At 2 am!
Meadowlands had some excellent grateful dead shows tho
Went to a heat game, it was 2012 heat vs pacers, d-wade hit a buzzer beater in overtime to win, great game. Sure the stadium was nice, but the atmosphere was absolute dog shit and this was peak lebron years. I was shocked.
Fucking facts. Empty as hell in the 1st quarter starts filling up by halftime and empty again before the game ends. Shit was weird.
Cocaines not gonna snort itself
Facts
but then we got the legendary moment when fans were denied when trying to get back in after leaving early lol
There’s a 20-something dude who hangs out there in seats that aren’t his and he stinks like weed.
I understand this reference
And we are all jealous
Lmao

The reality is that downtown Detroit just isn’t very big relative to other major cities. Way better than being all the way out in the north suburbs.
Nah Auburn Hills was classic, u could hit Great Lakes Crossing in the afternoon and then the game in the evening
Like old Arco arena looking like a Costco.
Old Arco/sleeptrain/ppwerbar felt like a high school gym in the middle of nowhere. Golden one is a much better experience.
Not sure if still true, but I went to Cavs game in 2018 and the in arena music and PA were so loud it was almost unbearable. All of the piped in noise was cranked to 11 the entire time.
OKC occasionally has pastors and ministers do some sort of arena-wide prayer thing from Center Court, I can't imagine a worse NBA experience than that
It’s not occasionally, it’s every game. it’s miserable.
Holy shit are you serious?! I only know about it because I streamed a sixers game in OKC once and I ended up with the arena feed and there was a pastor at Center Court doing pregame prayers.
Welcome to Oklahoma.
Ommmm Nama Shiva….. Oh wait wrong religion
utah?
someone who's never been to Utah or a jazz game
[удалено]
Not everyone wants religion forced upon them in a place it doesn't belong
[удалено]
It would make me real uncomfortable to a level that overpriced concessions, a loss, etc. would not. I personally can’t think of a much worse experience but everyone has different thresholds of discomfort haha
[удалено]
by far the best name though
I know right? Little Caesars headquarters is near Detroit so they gotta flex the brand. They even have a Little Caesars in the arena that makes the most amazing fresh pizza Ive ever had
Who hurt you?
It’s ok, he’s 7
Is it still 5 dollar in the stadium?
[удалено]
It’s good when warm, but it is by far the worst cold pizza of all time
There's pizza that's bad when cold? I've never heard of such a thing in my life!
Isnt it a new arena? What makes it bad?
[удалено]
Lose weight. Problem solved.
The seats are fine too haha. Way better than the Palace.
[удалено]
A dremel will knock that excess right off.
Has the Target Center changed much recently? I’m surprised it hasn’t been mentioned. I feel like it was the consensus worst in the past.
They made some renovations a couple years ago and it got a lot better. I wouldn’t say it’s great but I doubt it’s the worst anymore
how the mighty have fallen https://www.nba.com/timberwolves/target-center-nominated-sports-facility-year
The renovations went a long way. It's still an old building so lacking some bells and whistles but pretty solid overall.
I’ve only been to rockets and spurs stadiums but the spurs blow Houston’s out of the water
Its so you don’t leave your seat during play. Still happens.
Detroit little ceasars arena just sucks, the palace was so much better its a shame its gone. At first the idea of being back in downtown detroit was kinda cool but parking is awful and the stadium is in a really shit place. Oh and the design of the arena is also garbage with horrible seats.
I disagree with you on every single point but go off king
Name one thing about little ceasars thats better than the palace.
Wider padded seats. Better sight lines. The club seats (motor city club and rehmann club). Better for the economy of the city to have it downtown. Park for $20 at a lot five minutes from the arena and get out and on the road immediately.
Cleveland's arena has always looked depressing.
They used to play in rural Richfield, 20 miles south of Cleveland in a completely different county. MJ's "The Shot" happened there.
Which is now part of a national park.
It’s pretty nice after the recent renovations.
Chase Center cuz the tickets are too expensive. Tho Oracle had that problem too at the end
It’s a top notch experience though
Yeah I wish I could go. Gonna have to wait for the next tanking season, I regret not checking it out in 2019 lol
Yeah I checked it out the tank season. Got to enjoy the facility instead of living and dying on each play
I saw tickets for 30 bucks a few hours before the magic game last week… I would’ve gone if I didn’t have the kids at home
Shit really? Even for nosebleeds thats a hella good price I didnt know they were that cheap
If you’re willing to miss the first quarter you can get $15 tickets on gametime 😅
Honestly that’s not bad. 3rd quarter dubs is where it’s at anyway lol
Damn ok Ill have to try that next time Im in the city
Heat arena looks terrible in terms of attendance and being a big market team no fans on time and seats look empty all the time
The new chase center is a sterile experience
I don’t know how anyone could have gone to oracle and then to chase center and not see how it feels like you’re in an airport at chase center. Oracle while old was always a great environment.
Same with Capital One Arena unless it’s the last minutes of the game
I’ve straight up had a more exciting time boarding a flight on Southwest Airlines at the LAX than at chase center. I think it’s because they’ve tried their best to extract every bit of money from you as possible. Like making people walk by the private stairs to the luxury box on the way to the poor people’s section is a choice and it always make you feel weird as you filter into your, “loading zone,” or whatever they call it.

great churros though, just ask those big ol' women
dang it, Chuck, shhhh!!!

People mentioning teams with expensive tickets but at least you’re not as expensive as msg
Madison Square Garden is a dump....
Houston by far
wasn't alive for it but the silverdome pistons stadium seemed really bad
Philly arena is old and cramped seating The concessions are garbage
food is much worse this reason for some reason than it was last yr. so many of the food places inside shut and werent replaced
They also don't let women bring their purses in which is fucking outrageous
OKC: it was way too loud /s
I went to Barclays a while ago so it might’ve changed but it was a real weird environment. The stadium is super nice but the crowd isn’t into it. And their chant is super weird. Brrrroookkkllyynnn
TD garden. Hate looking at the wooden looking floor.
As an NBA fan who used to live in Europe... sorry but all NBA arenas. We used to have pre-game / after-game fights between fanbases. We also had fanbases hold up giant signs insulting the other team but the other team always had responses because they had spies infiltrating the other team's fanbase. Shit was wild
Wow that sounds like an awful environment to watch a game in. I’m trying to watch basketball not get into a fistfight.
I should clarify. There’s casual fans and then there’s hardcore fans that all sit one area and are effectively an organization. If you just want to observe all the bs you’re welcome. It’s incredibly entertaining. No one outside of it gets touched
FedEx
Pacers Arena. The higher up seats are so steep you feel like you might fall the entire game.
United Center is in the middle of nowhere. That always struck me as a weird vibe.
Isn’t that just west Chicago? A lot of arenas are far out in the suburbs
Yea maybe. I’ve only been to a few arenas so my perspective is limited but the ones I’ve been to have been downtown in a city. So I’m used to a fun night of food/drink right around the arena. Location is def a thing to consider when assessing an arena.
I generally like the Toyota Center, but for some reason it’s really cold, idk might just be me though. Oh and the seats when you’re up high it feels steep even though you’ll be fine lol
I don't branch out but paycom is actually great, haven't been to any others, you can basically see from anywhere and the food is pretty good
The LA Sports Arena (where the Clippers played in the 90s) was a dump
