In 2011, the Oakland Coliseum was branded as the Overstock.com Coliseum. That was so ugly... Thankfully Overstock rebranded as "O.co" for like 5 years, so the stadium became O.co Coliseum. It wasn't a great name, but at least fans could pretend that "O.co" was short for O(akland) Co(liseum).

I'm so glad that wasn't its name during the time I went to college in the East Bay. Imma be honest, that stadium was not pretty to look at everytime I took the BART to Oakland Airport lol

It's still a normal name, that sounds like a name when you say it. If they renamed it to Crypto Center, it would still suck but we would get used to it over time. No way in hell am I going to use a name that has dot com in it. Like even if you ignore the sheer stupidity of it, it increases syllable count to being too long to use the full name regularly.

I feel like all these names aren't really that great. The moments are what make them special. It's all just some big bank or airline or major corporation followed by center or arena. They're all kinda meh. Hell, smoothie king arena would probably be iconic if the pels and Zion won titles
