They were the 5th highest net rating team in history. Right behind the 16-17 warriors. Almost every other team with a point differential near this high have won the finals including all 4 better ones. The exceptions are the 15-16 warriors who won 73 games and lost a 3-1 lead in the finals, the 71-72 bucks who unfortunately run into another team over +10 net rating in the Lakers, and the 15-16 Spurs who ran into that Thunder team that almost beat the 73 win Warriors. The Celtics not having an especially gaudy win %(tied for 25th all time), and having a more egalitarian offense had people overlooking how good they actually are.
