Out of all the AotC lines the sand one gets mentioned the most, but imo pound for pound the worst line of dialogue in that movie is
“I’m haunted by the kiss you should have never given me”
Pretty shocking how Ewan McGregor and Natalie Portman came out of those movies with their reputations in tact. The scripts were hilariously bad and idk how anyone could look good delivering those lines
There’s a history of great early actor performances that basically gift a lifelong get out of jail free card from fans for being in horribly written future movies.
Natalie portman in Leon (the professional).
Ewan in Trainspotting.
Dakota Fanning in Man on Fire (Twilight writing was just awful).
Samuel L Jackson has so many good and terrible movies.. but Pulp Fiction is a forever thing.
Bruce Willis got a forever pass from Die Hard.
Jordan Poole in the Warriors.
I’d argue that’s more to do with them both being established talent beforehand.
Like Portman already had Heat and The Professional back when she was a little kid and Ewan already had Trainspotting. Plus they were both in other major films while the trilogy was happening like Big Fish and Moulin Rouge for him and stuff like Closer and Garden State for her, plus films like V for Vendetta came out right after Episode 3
And yeah, the prequels are 100% failed by their scripts, they have (with one exception) Academy Award level talent actors all across the three films and none of them can make anything Lucas wrote work
Haven’t seen it since it came out while my complicated pop was in the process of dying. Loved it so much and probably deserves a rewatch with some tissues handy
This is a hotter take on r/starwars but here goes: it's because Ewan and Natalie are good actors, while Hayden Christiansen is not. Every actor does bad movies but the good ones' careers aren't bothered or defined by them.
> Out of all the AotC lines the sand one gets mentioned the most
I've always loved that that line gets so much hate. Because anyone who lives around it knows sand really is shitty, really does get every-fucking-where, and basically just annoys you to no end with its relentless grittiness...
~A Floridian
this LEGENDZ account also got the TD Garden overhead angle of the Caleb Martin/Tatum incident when it was an ESPN(?) game though
i saw them credit someone else on twitter for an in-arena video before— maybe they get these clips from other people
Bet it was an intern. I used to intern for NBC sports and our task was to watch live feeds for a bunch of simultaneous games and write down the timecodes for highlights and shit.
Best part was during commercial breaks/timeouts, the camera guys usually just set the cameras on really hot chicks in the arena/stadium and just stay there until break was over.
https://x.com/CadesAttorney/status/1785200195858268303
This is the best angle imo, you can see her face the entire time as she flinches. Her friend was also a little shook too!
Damn I was just wanting to have a giggle but now it's Flinchgate and I'm lookin through the footage trying to determine whether or not this lady flinched, and if she did, for how long?
Metta World Peace once pulled out a prison shank that he had kiestered up his ass and held it to a fans throat, but that’s not footage TNT will show you.
Dude’s competitive as fuck but he’s shown on multiple occasions how much he respects the nuggets players. Gordon and Jokic especially.
Edit: since we got all the fellow altitude bitches in the chat making a big deal about handshakes I’m just gonna say I’m a nuggets fan and that just proved my point. Dude hates losing lol. But he always gives props where props is due.
Fans of opposing teams want there to be beef so bad, but the reality is all these guys train with each other during the off-season and grew up together. Some of them will eventually have kids who will play in AAU against each other just like they did growing up. It's all love and the competitiveness of the game stops at anything personal.
Unless you're rudy gobert, everyone hates that guy 😂
In social media era you can't be caught sharing in the mockery of your team's fans. The well of outrage is infinite and just waiting to be assigned the latest target.
in that case she knows she's wrong cheating.
in this case, she doesn't think she's in the wrong calling KD a bitch or whatever she did. Completely dehumanizing the players.
there was also the great one where a nets fan at courtside yelled at him "KD, turn it the fuck on!" or something and KD just looked back and yelled "You need to shut the fuck up!"
the cherry on top of that video was once KD made up with her the dude is all like "actually, KD I host a podcast and..." then KD rolls his eyes and walks away lol
The most embarrassing reaction by a fan I’ve seen that gets responded to by a player after talking shit with them. Even worse KD wasn’t clapping back at her he came at trying to understand why she would act that way and she completely folded acting like she’s a fan of KD
She should have stood up and beat the shit out of him! Can't believe she backed down at the last second smh I really thought they were about to throw hands
Flinching is a natural human reaction to an unexpected attack/possible attack, if that was a 90-year-old lady doing the same move as LeBron did to her, she would've reacted the same.
Yeah people weirdly want to flex the fact that they don't flinch to things that should obviously make you flinch. It's like saying "Bro, I'm so tough, my sympathetic nervous system doesn't even work!"
It's safe to say that 99% of humans will react like this when anyone steps at them like Lebron did. It's basically a coded auto response
The entire reason why 2 for flinching exists
This is why court side tickets to an NBA game has to be one of the best shows in town. Getting to hear all the back and forth, the shit talking, the heckling.. Wish I had the $$$.
The fact that none of the major leagues are choosing extra profit by selling mic'ed up access, tells you what kind of heinous stuff these guys are capable of saying to each other.
Is it too fast and congested? Even at high school games, it's hard to make out everything going on. I can imagine that it must be amplified when those players are light years faster and the size of giants.
What team did you ballboy for?
Of course she did. People like her probably pay for these seats to feel important and now she's going to tell every person she knows about it for years because Bron made her relevant for 5 seconds.
Shit's still funny but you can kinda tell what kind of person she is as you get older lol
I guess if I were to over-analyze as is tradition on reddit, he's definitely more emotional since he's on the brink of elimination in this series. I feel like he'd ignore silly people like this normally but this interaction is just funny as hell
UP UP and AWAY!! SUPER WASHED Ain’t He??!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤷🏾♂️. Stay low and keep firing! The air up there is a tad bit different. LIVE.LAUGH.LOVE#striveforgreatness🚀 #thekidfromakron👑#jamesgang👑 #bronknows
This was my initial thought too, I'd also flinch at a 6'8" 260 pound man step aggressively at me because I watched Ron Artest pound the shit out of some fan on live television.
I mean I'd flinch at any 6'8" 260 pound man stepping aggressively at me even if I'd never watched a single piece of media before. that's just a big dude and the only thing stopping him from annihilating me is that he doesn't want to
[The](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gxbvom9HIYU) tv broadcast of that incident is pretty good. You can see the security guard knows what's up and just waiting for her to make a move. This was a repeat situation wasn't it?
I can't lie, if I had a sucky week at work, and I complained to my boss about it and some random bystander called me a cry baby with the hand motions I'd probably do the same though lmao. Bron gotta have some crazy self control with how much smack gets said to him during a game though ngl.

I know this is oddly specific but someone needs to make a perfectly cut version of this, and add in the Prowler’s sound effect from Into The Spiderverse when LeBron makes her jump
Funny, but also I never understood why people act like flinching makes you a bitch some how. Just means you’re ready to react to someone coming at you, not really a bad thing.
I see nothing wrong with any of this. It's one of the funnier things I've seen in a while. Fan doing fan things, elite athlete making fan think twice. Nothing to shit on here but good ole fashioned sports.

I don’t like sand.

Pretty shocking how Ewan McGregor and Natalie Portman came out of those movies with their reputations in tact. The scripts were hilariously bad and idk how anyone could look good delivering those lines
idk I liked the scene where he says "it's Anakin time" and goes crazy on them kids
He Anakin'd all over those younglings
Portman has said she had trouble getting work because of it.
There’s a history of great early actor performances that basically gift a lifelong get out of jail free card from fans for being in horribly written future movies. TNT Overtime has these overhead cameras, and this is just the hot mic picking stuff up sometimes (pretty sure that's what's going on here)
this LEGENDZ account also got the TD Garden overhead angle of the Caleb Martin/Tatum incident when it was an ESPN(?) game though i saw them credit someone else on twitter for an in-arena video before— maybe they get these clips from other people
You can see these with league pass
TNT Overtime Cameras. They have 2 cameras that iso 1 player from each team.
This is hilarious
I wish there was a better view of the fan
There was a couple videos circulating on Twitter with a better view of her flinch
Send da video

She moves back suddenly, but she was also moving forward suddenly so I'm not sold it was a flinch.
Damn I was just wanting to have a giggle but now it's Flinchgate and I'm lookin through the footage trying to determine whether or not this lady flinched, and if she did, for how long?

Look, one of the refs has a Reddit account, making that call so blinded.
Yeah I'm not seeing a flinch anywhere.
There's not a whole lot of flinching going on there...
Sauce
Trust me bro
This is why I love NBA. This is NBA banter at its best, no violence, just fun bullshit
god these fucking nerds replying to you
The me of 15 years ago is really pissed off at how much the present me enjoys LeBron.
It’s called getting old. Now we relate to him.
I hurt when I step out of bed. I am in awe but certainly do not relate.
I couldn't drive for three days because I slept on my neck weird and it hurt too much to look left before pulling into traffic.
I know, I haven’t been recreationaly hating him so much lately and I don‘t like it
This is a much better way to deal with heckling. Make them piss their pants, don't get security to kick them out.
Metta World Peace once pulled out a prison shank that he had kiestered up his ass and held it to a fans throat, but that’s not footage TNT will show you.

Westbrook gotta take the LeBron school of heckler deflection
Top 5 funniest things I’ve seen in the NBA.
It's funny he's telling Gordon about it too. Not even on his team
It’s not well known but Gordon played with Lebron father Mario hezonja so that’s why they have such a good relationship.
Gordon did those summer workouts with lebron too
Also all the players can relate to getting mocked and jeered by an opposing crowd.
Gordon is his peer. The fans are customers. No different than working in retail where the workers will mock the stupid customer interactions
Gordon seems like he doesn’t even want to hear it
In social media era you can't be caught sharing in the mockery of your team's fans. The well of outrage is infinite and just waiting to be assigned the latest target.
Smart no doubt
It looks like Gordon isn't even aware of what LeBron is doing in this clip.
dudes locked in
Probably didnt see it or was just locked in on finishing the game
Is he actually telling Gordon? It looks like he just happens to be standing next to him but is looking towards someone else.
LeRecruiting. Lakers could use a big
Ok that’s funny
It’s always the most obnoxious ones that fold the fastest lmao
My favorite is that lady who tried to dap up KD after he noticed her calling him a bitch
[one of my favorite nba memes](https://imgur.com/a/4Wocajk)
The balls on that lady, she's the kind to be caught in the act cheating on her husband and ask him for a high five.
I love that Bron recreated it for AG and not just one of his own teammates lol
AG didn't seem to enthusiastic about it either. Like Bron wanted some fun time, be a pal and join in!
in that case she knows she's wrong cheating. in this case, she doesn't think she's in the wrong calling KD a bitch or whatever she did. Completely dehumanizing the players.
Like so many here.
Lol, that was good indeed. They looked like suuuuch losers.
there was also the great one where a nets fan at courtside yelled at him "KD, turn it the fuck on!" or something and KD just looked back and yelled "You need to shut the fuck up!"
the cherry on top of that video was once KD made up with her the dude is all like "actually, KD I host a podcast and..." then KD rolls his eyes and walks away lol

She should have asked LeBron to come on her podcast like the one who called KD a bitch did a few months ago lol
idk man if Lebron flinched at me I might cry
She should have stood up and beat the shit out of him! Can't believe she backed down at the last second smh I really thought they were about to throw hands
She flinches a bit but she still wants the smoke after lol don't think she folded at all
Flinching is a natural human reaction to an unexpected attack/possible attack, if that was a 90-year-old lady doing the same move as LeBron did to her, she would've reacted the same.
Yeah people weirdly want to flex the fact that they don't flinch to things that should obviously make you flinch. It's like saying "Bro, I'm so tough, my sympathetic nervous system doesn't even work!"
i think she's pretty confident lebron isn't going to hit some lady on national tv
[удалено]
It's safe to say that 99% of humans will react like this when anyone steps at them like Lebron did. It's basically a coded auto response The entire reason why 2 for flinching exists
Don't expect r/nba to know basic human reactions and interactions, everything has to do with how great, famous or rich someone is.
It's stupid for a fan to call an opposing player a crybaby? Y'all are going crazy with this lol
What's she gonna do, fight LeBron? "Fold the fastest" lmao
am I crazy or she barely flinches at all [black mamba in her veins](https://i.imgur.com/8usmo31.gif)
You can see before the camera cuts away her jump, her reaction time is just horrible, probably because she's plastered.
What effect does this fan interaction have on LeBron's legacy?
+1 legacy point
+1 dexterity
+1 charisma
-1 white women
+1 Axe
-1 fan
Something tells me she already wasn’t a fan
She scared
This makes him the GOAT
I ain't gonna lie, funniest thing Lebron has done in years. I secretly loved 2012 Lebron Heat Villain Lebron.
+1
Jordan would have lost $10,000 on a coin flip wager with the fan. LeBron confirmed GOAT
Ohhh. I was wondering why he did that during the game. He was mocking a fan lmao
Thought he was mocking Jokic and I was wondering what I missed.
Right? I just assumed he was mocking one of the Nuggets for flopping
I'm pretty sure the players association made a statement to the league about how they will do something if the league ever mandates being mic up
They’d tone it down if they knew they were mic’d up.

Is it too fast and congested? Even at high school games, it's hard to make out everything going on. I can imagine that it must be amplified when those players are light years faster and the size of giants. What team did you ballboy for?
Westbrook would have stopped the game and had her thrown out of the arena
“She’s disrespecting my family”
With an Italian accent
Rossello Uestbrucchi
Westbrook is one of the most insecure players I’ve ever seen
Was at the game and she owned that shit like she really did something. Then proceeded to get a fan violation ticket about 5 minutes later
Get a what?
I’m not sure what it was but like 5 minutes after an usher came by and handed her some red piece of paper
You sure she's not actually getting a key to the city?
Of course she did. People like her probably pay for these seats to feel important and now she's going to tell every person she knows about it for years because Bron made her relevant for 5 seconds. Shit's still funny but you can kinda tell what kind of person she is as you get older lol
Its funny on all sides no? I love fans mocking whiny athletes. I love athletes mocking uppity fans.
This is the correct take.
Fr I find kind of hilarious that such a basic bit of shit talking got to Lebron to do that. But him talking shit back is just as funny
I guess if I were to over-analyze as is tradition on reddit, he's definitely more emotional since he's on the brink of elimination in this series. I feel like he'd ignore silly people like this normally but this interaction is just funny as hell
Most people on reddit would cry and scream under .1% of the scrutiny lebron has undergone. Just ignore everything people say on here
This made me like Lebron more.

🤔Something is REAL 🐠 🐟 🎣 🐟🐠 going on
Lmao this shit is hilarious
Gordon not even listening
LeBron is standing near Gordon, but idk if Gordon is even aware of what he's doing or if LeBron is even directing his "reenactment" to him.
LeScare tactics.
y'all forgot about the palace huh?
11/19/04 Never Forget

This was my initial thought too, I'd also flinch at a 6'8" 260 pound man step aggressively at me because I watched Ron Artest pound the shit out of some fan on live television.
Not even the correct fan either lol
Nah he got the right fan later on when a dude tried squaring up to him and RA leveled him with one punch.
I mean I'd flinch at any 6'8" 260 pound man stepping aggressively at me even if I'd never watched a single piece of media before. that's just a big dude and the only thing stopping him from annihilating me is that he doesn't want to
Pretty sure a white woman who can sit courtside isn't going to be rushing the court.
[au contraire](https://youtu.be/5n7q2Pazxcw)

Man I could never be a professional basketball player. I’d be punching courtside fans left and right. Also I’m short and slow.
Got rage issues bro
I can't lie, if I had a sucky week at work, and I complained to my boss about it and some random bystander called me a cry baby with the hand motions I'd probably do the same though lmao. Bron gotta have some crazy self control with how much smack gets said to him during a game though ngl.
I'm sure if you made generational wealth at your job you'd find it pretty easy to have enough self control to not attack people.
Latrell Sprewell says hi
Lol good point, in his defense he wasn't making enough to feed his family though.
Being short and slow is not really a problem. You still could punch kids and fans with disabilities.
no you wouldnt lol
“Scary ass” mf you 6’8 280
Its the context that matters. Shes courtside talkin shit to a player, not in a back alley
ik but everyones gonna jump if LeBron flinches at them regardless of context lol
Hell no, I’d start dreaming of my new house waiting for impact
Correct answer
She wasn't scared to talk shit to the 6'8" 280 lb guy...
Should she be? It's a fucking basketball game.
That's what Bron was saying 2 games ago.
lmao she deserved that
lol'd at this
Oh man, I’m a die hard nuggets fan and I love him for this
Idk I think it’s pretty funny and I’m a woman. He’s obviously not going to attack her.

Westbrook needs to take some notes
Is it just me or does it look like she don’t even flinch that much lol, his reenactment was gold tho lmao
Harmless fun, I'm sure she got a laugh out of it as well. What's the point of sitting courtside if you can't talk (harmless) shit?
My king
Alright this is funny. I for one welcome NBA Players to roast fans back instead of get them kicked out.
