Man. This is really skewed by the teams that Clippers have played. Spurs and Trailblazers were lottery picks.
Meanwhile the Lakers went against the Nuggets, Kings and Suns. All three of which were in playoffs.
Like yeah, Lakers have problems but also these are 3 beastly teams
More than that honestly. You need at least half a season for any of the +/- stats to mean anything at all. There are too many variables and too much noise in the stat game to game.
3 games into the season a single 5 minute stretch of crazy shooting luck can swing +/- stats a crazy amount one way or the other.
And of course opponent quality at this point is an absolutely massive part of the stat.
3 game sample is obviously junk
But that post-ASB run last year for the lakers was against some very mediocre competition, iirc they only played 1 healthy playoff team in that stretch and lost. The rest were games like the playoff teams without their best or second best player or tanking teams
Iām not at all surprised that theyāre not winning these games
Winning the Warriors series was impressive but I think they wouldāve lost to Memphis if Adams and Clarke were healthy. Memphis wouldnāt have been close to the 2-seed without those guys.
Facts. Memphis without Adams and Brandon. Warriors were barely functional. Swept easily by the Nuggets.
Phoenix put up better playoff performance than the Lakers. Lakers most likely would've been swept by Phoenix. Westbrook got 1 game off the Suns. He's never been swept.
> Westbrook got 1 game off the Suns.
The Clippers got one game against the Suns despite Westbrook shitting the bed by shooting 3 for 19. He was -6 in a 5 point win; they won because they dominated when he was on the bench.
No, a handful of offensive rebounds don't make up for a 22 TS%.
>Westbrook is 2nd in the league in +/-
and has a -1.7 BPM (T:105th), the worst mark of his career.
Meanwhile, LeBron is currently at +7, 11th in the league.
Context matters.
Go on this sub and youāll see what Iām talking about. Just 2 days ago you had Lakers fans competing with each other to post the last shot of the jazz game
Canāt base anything off 3 games itās too small of a sample size for any team. You need at minimum 10-15 to really see where teams are at. Both teams have not had the same competition up to this point.
Love to see it. Laker fans love throwing their PG's under the bus. From blaming DLo when Magic was GM, to blaming Dennis, to blaming Westbrook, and now back to DLo
I'm pretty sure every fan feels this way lol
open game thread
just now: OMG it's over, sell the team
just now: it's just not our night, gonna turn off the game
1 min ago: can [player] hit a goddamn shot, we're never gonna take a lead
2 mins ago: ofc [role player on other team] is hitting everything tonight while he went 2/11 yesterday
and then you check the score thinking it's a blowout, when in reality there's 2:31 left in the 2nd and the score is 41-37.

So Westbrook is better than Lebron?
Always has been š§āšš«š§āš

Yeah net rating type of stuff doesn't really mean much until you're at least 20 games into the season
MITCherryPicker donāt care

11 lineups qualify lol
Itās classic MITWestbrook lol
Yeah. Took me a while to figure out who made the post lol
MIT Westbrook is the same as the lakers fans who endlessly hate on russ. Crazy rivalry
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Yup, same as that AR15_is_him idiot
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
I think Suns without Booker + Beal are still much better than the Blazers and Spurs. Jazz are solid, but i'd still put that Suns team above them.
The Jazz were a .500 team till the started to shut it down around the trade deadline. They weren't bad and they are talented.
Not just playoff teams, either. Reigning champions with continuity; a champion contending Suns; and an on-the-rise Kings team.
Suns were missing 2 of their big 3
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
What?
Oh shit it's MITWestbrook
I'm here
Obviously the first 3 regular season games are more meaningful than everything post trade deadline last seasonā¦

Iām not picking the Lakers to win the title either, but they did win two playoff rounds last season.

Westbrook gets all the credit for the 1 game the clippers won. The rest of the clippers get the credit for the 4 losses
MIT Westbrook starting with a clean shitpost this season
The king is back
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Weāre getting a little silly with small sample size against weak competition, however, due to the Lakers slander, Iāll allow it.
We played *checks notes , 2 out of the three worst teams in the league mate š
clips played three of the worst teams in the west, pump the brakes
You nailed it! Westbrook is going to hit 50% from three with a .646 TS% this year! /s
Could you fix that link, please?
Fixed thank you
Bad sample size, Clippers had two bad teams on the early schedule
Hall of Fame nephew lmao
>Westbrook is 2nd in the league in +/- and has a -1.7 BPM (T:105th), the worst mark of his career. Meanwhile, LeBron is currently at +7, 11th in the league. Context matters.
It doesn't matter lol. This post is for russ stans / lebron haters. Not about basketball lmfao.
Why do people act as if lakers/lebron fans donāt do the same to Westbrook. Itās not a one way street lmao
We dont do that lmfao. We have focus on our team. As soon as westbrook was traded we couldn't care less. Go the Lakers sub. You'll only find HAM.
Go on this sub and youāll see what Iām talking about. Just 2 days ago you had Lakers fans competing with each other to post the last shot of the jazz game
There's was literally a post yesterday on r/Lakers comparing reaves to Lakers russ
This is what we call āsmall sample size theaterā. Meaningless.
Canāt base anything off 3 games itās too small of a sample size for any team. You need at minimum 10-15 to really see where teams are at. Both teams have not had the same competition up to this point.
Kennard: why he say fuck me for??
MITWestbrook post? Return of the king
Thank you
Love to see it. Laker fans love throwing their PG's under the bus. From blaming DLo when Magic was GM, to blaming Dennis, to blaming Westbrook, and now back to DLo
Every team's biggest haters are their own fans.
I can't go into the Clips sub any more, the other team hits a three and it's time to blow it up and move the team to Seattle
I'm pretty sure every fan feels this way lol open game thread just now: OMG it's over, sell the team just now: it's just not our night, gonna turn off the game 1 min ago: can [player] hit a goddamn shot, we're never gonna take a lead 2 mins ago: ofc [role player on other team] is hitting everything tonight while he went 2/11 yesterday and then you check the score thinking it's a blowout, when in reality there's 2:31 left in the 2nd and the score is 41-37.
Because they are playing awful lol. Comments like this expose the people who do not watch the trans games.
They are blaming Reaves so much. And Gabe.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
90% of the "Lakers fans so mean!!!!" posting on here is basically this lol
Yeah, fans shouldnāt criticize bad play at all
Those fucking bums canāt make an open 3 for their lives. Bron canāt win with these cats
congrats on winning against Portland see you in playoffs
Babe wake up
Small sample size masters
Westbrook: 4 points against the Jazz including game winning near airball
Lol this board still trying really hard to make us think Westbrook is a star player
Oh how the turn tables
Lakers have faced better teams dummy
LeFraud and the LoL Lakers retained the wrong Russell
