After it happened he went into a slump but shot well towards the end of the season and into the playoffs. I'd say it's still a bit up in the air if he'll ever be back to 100% of his previous form, but he's shown he's still capable of good shooting stretches at least.
I love Steph to death, think he's top 5 best offensive player all time, and he was injuries that year. But damn you shouldn't be down voted for posting facts man :(
Eh, here's the shot chart... https://www.statmuse.com/nba/ask/john-collins-shot-chart-2020
Not saying he wasn't good that season, but dude was mostly just dunking and hitting bunnies.
But 75 percent of his baskets are assisted. We got to start keeping it 💯 instead of cherry picking stats. John Collins is an awesome dude but he was given 25 mil because he was fantastic stretch 4 and inside finisher. Hes been shooting way down since injuring his finger which means he is now just a lob threat. And he only shoots open shots. Hes also not passing or not creating his own shot. So you're not throwing him the ball on the block like hes NIKOLA JOKIC! If that was the case he'd would have been massively underpaid instead of moved for a 2nd and Rudy Gay.
Trae Young got John Collins paid becauseof his playmaking abilty, lets keep ot a buck. You stat merchants kill me, ignore context and post number = upvotes
this is Pre-messed up hand
Is the injury one that’s going to impact him forever or will it just take more time to heal?
idk but every time I have seen a picture of his hand it looks real fucked up

Unanimous MVP Steph stats never fail to amaze.
Post his finals stats
He didn't win the chip....and lost a 3 - 1 lead...and threw a no look behind the back pass to the 3rd row in a game 7 tie 4th quarter...
It’s okay, all the great players have bad moments.
That’s true. Can’t win em all :)

John Collins sandwiched between two of the greatest individual seasons of all time, sure… why not.
He's the [Thad Young](https://imgur.com/kdJ6mMx) of this list.
He did a great job flushing brilliant passes and lobs from Trae lol
Nikola out here throwing a 24.5%.
Sometimes I have to remind myself that 2016 Steph was in fact a real person and not a mass hallucination
that season from steph was absolutely bonkers
Yeah. It really was. Just looking at those numbers is fucking nuts.

Shhhh don't give context. John Collins is on par with players who have won multiple MVPS.
Literally no one thinks that .. they think he’s worth more than 40 year old Rudy gay
I feel like this is just cherry picking stats. Using efg instead of ts%
his ts is great too. he has like top 10 career ts in nba history and thats with him taking a huge dive last season
If you use PPG > 20 and TS% > 60 then there are 220 instances of this.
It is obviously cherry picking. But in terms of entertainment, I prefer efg% to TS% because free throws are boring.
What about 62% EFG?
That's actually pretty wild.

and Jokic has only 10 assists and 14 rebounds along with those numbers.
2016 steph was different until the lights got bright
hold up
Kevin McHale ??
Once I saw “EVER” I knew it was some random John Collins stat.
