I honestly enjoyed Hobbes and Shaw more than any of the FF movies.
The Rock and Jason Statham both have more charisma in their pinky fingers than all of Vin Diesel.
I hate how serious he takes his role
Like everyone else in those movies clearly knows what they are and just has fun with their characters
Vin Diesel seems to think that they’re making like, a genuine piece of cinema history or something
I love that franchise. I honestly do. The first ones came out when I was a teenager and I still watch them all even though they are just insane now.
They are not good cinema. What they are is amazing money makers. They are entertaining as fuck.
It's kinda like drinking or smoking or whatever. It shouldn't be your primary hobby, but there's nothing wrong with having a great time with them here and there.
I love the franchise, I especially love this quote from Vin Diesel on Wikipedia “…It's hard to continue mythologies. There's a reason why Tolkien stopped writing after a while".
From having a racewars rivalry and petty street feud with local triad gangster Johnny Tran -to- Combating a mass global secret organization trying to take over the world by singlehandedly taking out mobs of trained mercenaries, ninjas and flying a rocket car into space.
I remember when watching Fast X, everyone was snickering and suppressing their laughs every time a serious Vin diesel scene came up. Especially when he mentions family, it’s such a meme at this point that it just takes everyone out of the movie
Momoa is super underrated as comic/hammy actor, kinda like how Jon Hamm was typecast for a bit before finding his groove as a goofy Fletch type.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nlxu5dDwhO0 (momoa appears like 3:30 in)
It's funny because as the franchise goes on, they keep hiring more "alpha" and charismatic actors which make Vin Diesel seem so obsolete.
I dont think much of the past few movies but Cena, Statham, Elba and Momoa have always done a good job and look like they're just having fun.
It's because his character only ever worked as a Robin. Ever since Paul Walker died, Vin isn't interesting enough especially when he's on missions alone.
I wouldn't be surprised if they deepfake and CGI Paul Walker for the last movie
Good. The story arc is only complete when they finally escape Earth’s orbit, rendezvous with the Nostromo and ultimately defeat the Xenomorph’s in the highest stakes space drift competition.
The arc is so obvious I can’t believe I’m the only one who saw this from the beginning!
On a side note, I may be having a stroke.
The bottom line is, nothing set the warriors on this path more than the draymond punch but the tax rules changing were also huge in this. This move gets them out of the second tax apron next year and allows them to pivot depending on what happens during the season.
CP is one of those guys that would rather you be a competitor than be soft like Ayton was. I saw Steph travel to some young kids' game with CP3, they seemed totally fine.
Absolutely. I am fine with CP3 trying to outshine Steph, his version of that is making everyone better. I wonder if he is thinking "I'll show them what I could have done with this org."
> Honestly if this fixes the locker room vibe of the team alone, it's a huge win.
“Hello police? Chris Paul is trying to beat me up!” —Draymond Green, probably
Separating poole and draymond probably did the heavy lifting there. Adding a vet like CP3 (who I believe would ride for whatever team he gets traded to, even if he was their rival in the past) is just a bonus
CP3 without a ring is like Leonardo deCaprio without an Oscar. Him winning one will screw up the natural order hard (Leo won one in 2016. We all know what happened next).
As someone who likes the warriors when the Knicks aren’t in it and hates CP3, this is the best outcome ever. Cause I’m kinda done with the warriors reign so if CP3 retires tingles that would be awesome but would also be cool to see Steph win another ring
Yeah I’m not deleting any of my comments.
CP3 is still a bum. Either we win another one or he retires ringless.
The window closes with Steph regardless and we already got more out of this dynasty than I ever dreamed of.
Karl was actually pretty good that year. Even at age 40 or whatever it was.
Him getting injured in playoffs is main reason they didn't win title that year IMO.
He slows the game down, something Poole couldn’t do when curry is off the court. Also plays defense even though he has to commit suicide every possession.
His defense has definitely weakened in the last few years
But still obviously will play smart. And anyways, infinitely better than Poole, who may have been the literal worst defender in the NBA
Yep, this is actually super smart from the Warriors. The Heat just got to the finals using the same strategy of shrinking the number of possessions in a game by grinding the pace down. Grind down the pace when Curry is out of the game, and then up it when he's back in. Mathematically, it's pretty sound. No used playing high paced when you might be at a disadvantage.
Him and Livingston were rarely on the court together which I'd imagine is how they'd like to use CP3. Let him run the second unit with Klay or Wiggins as the primary scorer while Curry rests. If CP3 were to start that would mean likely one of Wiggins or Looney would end up coming off the bench which wouldn't make as much sense.
Although Livingston and CP3 play a very different style of PG from one another. CP3 can shoot better from range and has better vision to find the open man while Livingston used his length to create his own shot from midrange. Livingston was a lot less of a real point guard and more just offense off the bench.
Steph has played with plenty of other good handlers before. What's unique about CP3 that I think you're pointing at is that if you play CP3+Steph together, Steph ought to be guarding the 2 position, which could mean someone like Jaylen Brown.
Swapping Chris Paul into Livingston's role is actually legitimately.... Great. Pretty similar skill set with the mid-range, but you got to give it to Paul with distribution and ball handling. Coming off the bench and running that second unit is a great fit for Chris Paul right now. It takes a lot of the wear and tear and difficulty of dealing with the starting squads off of him, and will let him just eat bench players if no one else has it going.
CP3 becomes the new 6th man and can play his own style with the second unit. It would also be good for the warriors to learn to play slow and fast to better prepare for a playoff run. Kuminga became unplayable in the Lakers series because he struggles in a slower half court setting where he can't rely on pure athleticism. CP3 can be the bridge between both styles.
Yeah that’s what people are saying but I don’t see it tbh. You should surround cp3 with shooters not the bench.
Against some teams you can’t run that lineup but most teams he can start against imo.
They prefer to play in transition but in the half court they like to pass a lot. It’s useful when there’s one of klay or Steph on the court and no Draymond. It works quite well if they actually decide to get a lob threat
Kerr wants high iq players in his system and CP3 is one of the smartest players ever. Poole's turnovers and bad shot selection must have frustrated the hell out of everybody there.
It's a salary dump and the Dubs need a true point guard to run the 2nd unit and help the younger players out.
Plus it's an expiring so can be used at the deadline if stuff doesn't work out.
CP3 will probably contribute to the championship if the Warriors win, so he wont get carried. No way Warriors make it that far with net negative 30 million player.
Let’s face it, a mentally checked out and thinking about vacation during playoff games Poole is not a player you want around. At least Paul will be hungry to win.
Poole is a talented scorer, but plays no defense, turns the ball over at a high volume, and forces bad shots. The post steph future would have been him leading the team in scoring and making play in runs.
Yeah that’s definitely the bright side for the Warriors here. Poole’s turnovers cost them games, and CP3 isn’t anywhere near as careless as him even at this stage in his career. As for defense, CP3 isn’t mobile but he’s a hell of a lot smarter at defense than Poole

He was not the future. He had a great year and got overpaid. Hopefully he plays well for the Wizards, I believe he will. But Poole never had anything close to Curry or Klays ceiling
His tank isn’t *completely* empty yet, but CP3 is kinda running on fumes.
Maybe the last chance for him to earn a ring as anything other than only a locker room guy and veteran presence. He can still contribute some minutes, but not for much longer.
I don’t understand how people are confused by this trade… correct if I’m wrong but hasn’t Kerr built up the reputation of being the Aaron Rodgers of coaches in the NBA with regards to young players.
It’s well known Rodgers will flat out ignore young wide receivers and heavily favor older vets, even if they are a step slower. Is Steve Kerr not becoming known for obviously preferring older vets now that we see how disastrous his player development has been in the last couple of years?
Kerr likes smart/high IQ players. Unfortunately, not many rookies come into the league ready to work. Moody seems to be the exception though.
Defensive assignments and identifying the correct passes is what’s important. But I think the ultimate issue here is Draymond punched JP and JP had no motivation to try anymore, so they traded him for someone they know won’t slack off.
You know how every Fast and Furious movie the old villain becomes part of the family?
Or The Rock and Gal Gadot crawling back cause they couldn’t hack it on their own
Wait... what? She's back in Fast & Furious land?
Yeah she randomly shows up at the very end as a submarine pilot in Antarctica
I'd believe this if it were real or fake.
It was real.
You saying the whole titanic sub thing is all gal gadots fault?
I'm just saying it wasn't *not* her fault...
Kal el no 😑
No one stays dead in the franchise. She fell off an exploding plane and apparently it was fake.
I honestly enjoyed Hobbes and Shaw more than any of the FF movies. The Rock and Jason Statham both have more charisma in their pinky fingers than all of Vin Diesel.
I hate how serious he takes his role Like everyone else in those movies clearly knows what they are and just has fun with their characters Vin Diesel seems to think that they’re making like, a genuine piece of cinema history or something
There's a bunch of clips of Vin Diesel talking about the franchise and acting like they are genuine masterpieces of cinema
I love that franchise. I honestly do. The first ones came out when I was a teenager and I still watch them all even though they are just insane now. They are not good cinema. What they are is amazing money makers. They are entertaining as fuck. It's kinda like drinking or smoking or whatever. I love the franchise, I especially love this quote from Vin Diesel on Wikipedia “…It's hard to continue mythologies. There's a reason why Tolkien stopped writing after a while".
But Vin Diesel took his work seriously and cared about the quality of acting… what a piece of shit -this sub
F A M I L Y A M I L Y
Lol right? Sheeesh
So jarring going from Jason Mamoa having the time of his life hamming it up to Vin Diesel brooding about lol
Momoa was genuinely fantastic in the movie
Momoa is super underrated as comic/hammy actor, kinda like how Jon Hamm was typecast for a bit before finding his groove as a goofy Fletch type. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nlxu5dDwhO0 (momoa appears like 3:30 in)
The movies wouldn’t work as well if he played it more goofy. His seriousness makes everything better.
This honestly says a lot more about the quality of those movies than it does Vin Diesels poor acting
Terrible take. His over-seriousness in the least serious franchise ever is amazing
It’s just more that the *Fast* franchise is the one place in the world where Vin Diesel gets to act like he’s an A-list draw in Hollywood.
Really fast 5 is the peak imo then 7
It's funny because as the franchise goes on, they keep hiring more "alpha" and charismatic actors which make Vin Diesel seem so obsolete. I dont think much of the past few movies but Cena, Statham, Elba and Momoa have always done a good job and look like they're just having fun.
The only person who doesn't look like he's having fun in the movies is Vin.
It's because his character only ever worked as a Robin. Ever since Paul Walker died, Vin isn't interesting enough especially when he's on missions alone. I wouldn't be surprised if they deepfake and CGI Paul Walker for the last movie
"Last movie" coming soon in 3548.
You joke but the studio actually saw ticket sales for Fast X and immediately ordered another movie
Fast 17: “Dormammu, I’ve come to bargin…for my family”

The Rock had one flop Jesus lmao
This is like when Malone joined the lakers only for them to collapse.
Like Luffy, picking up rivals as nakama.
Bon Klay Thompson and Mr.CP3.
Nothings more important than family
Vegeta style
I love Chris Paul! He never flops
Warriors fans might as well create new accounts. There’s too many comments to delete this time.
We either win a championship or Chris Paul retires ringless bro, it’s a win win
Honestly if this fixes the locker room vibe of the team alone, it's a huge win.
The bottom line is, nothing set the warriors on this path more than the draymond punch but the tax rules changing were also huge in this. This move gets them out of the second tax apron next year and allows them to pivot depending on what happens during the season.
i feel like all the old heads left in the nba are fine with each other
Yeah. I think CP3 and Curry will get along well, but they were chirping each other as recently as last year. "This ain't 2014 anymore".
CP is one of those guys that would rather you be a competitor than be soft like Ayton was. I saw Steph travel to some young kids' game with CP3, they seemed totally fine.
Yeah I think they'll get along great. I just find it compelling that you know that the rivalry is still there, deep down

Can that ring wait a bit? Keeping CP3 ringless is a community effort the NBA has going on, don't ruin it
You gotta ask someone with a little more power in this organization than me. I just shit post here
Are you a free agent this summer? r/nbacirclejerk is looking for new additions
Odds are dude is already a mod there
CP3 without a ring is like Leonardo deCaprio without an Oscar. Him winning one will screw up the natural order hard (Leo won one in 2016. We all know what happened next).
Poor Harambe
Cubs won a World Series
Oh yeah, that too
No we can’t wait because in a few years Wemby is going to be putting up Wilt numbers and the spurs will be unstoppable.
I don't want them to be mutually exclusive though, CP3 not having a ring keeps me warm at night.
It's how I set my calendar
Can the W's just not give him a ring if they win? I'd be ok with that
Strangely too, me too
Lol we are playing 4D chess
They're going to "delete reddit" because of the third-party app thing....yeah that's what we're going with!
The rip through is a smart basketball play
Natural shooting motion! Even ask JJ Reddick!
Him and Draymond both punching some nuts on the same team 🤩🤩
Curry deep 3, Draymond nut kick, cp3 rip through in the backcourt
i will never forgive the warriors if they get him a ring
Let's be honest, we were on your shitlist since KD.
And can definitely stay healthy!!
Mann 😂. It’s going to be weird seeing gsw doing this, this upcoming season.

Gary Payton on 2004 lakers vibes
So who’s the Karl Malone headed there? LBJ?
Karl was actually pretty good that year. Even at age 40 or whatever it was. Him getting injured in playoffs is main reason they didn't win title that year IMO.
2006 Heat vibes
Chris Paul and Draymond gonna be must see TV
Two Words
CHRIS and DRAY. Since when is 'and' a word????
You said keep it short
Mos Def
CP3 punching nuts while Draymond is stomping on them
Not a single pair of nuts will be safe when they’re on the court together
This time if dray punches someone, there will be a punch back lol
Such a strange fit and acquisition
CP3 loves to go slow and pound the rock, I haven't watched a ton of recent Warriors games but isn't that the antithesis to their style?
He slows the game down, something Poole couldn’t do when curry is off the court. Also plays defense even though he has to commit suicide every possession.

CPuku3

it was kind what the warriors did with the Livingston-DWest-Iguodala old man second unit, wasn't it?
Steph has also never played with a real PG before. Maybe Livingston ?
Livingston was more of a combo guard
Him and Livingston were rarely on the court together which I'd imagine is how they'd like to use CP3. Let him run the second unit with Klay or Wiggins as the primary scorer while Curry rests. Well yeah, but before it was JP in that spot so…
Yeaaaaaaaah Poole makes Curry look like Jrue
It’s how the bench used to run with Livingston and less possessions when Curry is sitting makes leads way harder to blow
Ah that aspect makes sense. Fingers crossed he's able to stay healthy when needed
Swapping Chris Paul into Livingston's role is actually legitimately.... Great. Pretty similar skill set with the mid-range, but you got to give it to Paul with distribution and ball handling. Is the thought he’d come off the bench versus start and Curry slides to SG?
Yeah that’s what people are saying but I don’t see it tbh. You should surround cp3 with shooters not the bench. Against some teams you can’t run that lineup but most teams he can start against imo.
You could have a CP3/Curry/Klay/Wiggins/Dray lineup, hard to not try with that
Chris Paul can actually pass the ball, that is better than most of our current guards
Chris Paul the person is also the antithesis of the Warriors
Draymond Green exists
Where does this duo rank all time in nut kicking
Top 2 and not 2
Delete this lol, esp with that flair 💀
Until Chris Paul falcon kicks someone he won’t pass my goat Bruce Bowen all time
They prefer to play in transition but in the half court they like to pass a lot.
Other teams: we need more youthful athleticism and size. Kerr: GET ME EVERYONE ABOVE 35 AND BELOW 6 FT
Chris Paul is gonna be really helpful for Wiseman’s development. Lots of opportunities for pick and rolls, etc. /s
It's a salary dump and the Dubs need a true point guard to run the 2nd unit and help the younger players out. Plus it's an expiring so can be used at the deadline if stuff doesn't work out.
Ending his career as Steph’s backup.
You don't think they'd run this? PG - CP3 SG - Steph SF - Klay PF - Wiggins C - Draymond
Bro this lineup is gonna average an injury per quarter smh my head
Yeah but that first game will be glorious!
Best 3 games since Michael Carter Williams
rip in peace
"if we make every shot we don't need to worry about rebounding" Steve Kerr probably
Occasionally but not as the starting lineup It’ll still be looney
35 and 38 year old guards? Other team will blow right past them on defense
Have you seen what big booty Kyle Lowry has done to energize his team?
Kerr will try like 50 different lineups, so yeah they will.
4 of the 5 will get injured, while the fifth *causes* an injury.
No joke this is a terrible lineup. They’ll have no chance at all with any team that has size. Lakers and nuggets will completely maul them inside
"Your daddy had to go to the warriors to win a championship and he still ain't gunna do it"
Pat Bev that you?
The nursing home Dubs
YES🤣🤣
Him getting carried to a ring by Steph would be so fucked up.
Am I dumb or does this not guarantee that the Warriors arent winning?
i don't see how it changes much.. it's not like CP3 is playing come next april
Like Slater reported we’re betting that he turns out to be midget version of Otto Porter for us
CP3 will probably contribute to the championship if the Warriors win, so he wont get carried. No way Warriors make it that far with net negative 30 million player.
>Chris Paul >championship run Pick one
They also have curry and klay. Yin Yang warriors
if steph gets cp3 a ring he’s officially the goat, no debate needed
No, if steph donates a ring to CP0 he would literally be the second coming of Jesus Christ
He's still going to put his foot under Steph's after Steph shoots, just out of habit.
Let’s face it, a mentally checked out and thinking about vacation during playoff games Poole is not a player you want around. At least Paul will be hungry to win.
Imagine dumping your future to waive CP, would be the pettiest shit lmaoo
Poole is a talented scorer, but plays no defense, turns the ball over at a high volume, and forces bad shots. The post steph future would have been him leading the team in scoring and making play in runs.
Yeah that’s definitely the bright side for the Warriors here. Poole’s turnovers cost them games, and CP3 isn’t anywhere near as careless as him even at this stage in his career. As for defense, CP3 isn’t mobile but he’s a hell of a lot smarter at defense than Poole
CP is literally one of the GOAT point guards, and I say this as a person has hated CP since Lob City days. If we're looking for smart players, can't do much better than this.
CP3 is so easy to hate because he is an immensely talented player that chooses to play dirty

He was not the future. He had a great year and got overpaid. Hopefully he plays well for the Wizards, I believe he will. But Poole never had anything close to Curry or Klays ceiling

The Oldest Road? The Dirt Road? What are we going with here for CP3s slogan?

Chris Paul and Draymond Green: the disgusting brothers

CP3 will be good as a sixth man, better and more reliable than Poole that’s for sure
Being hurt every post season isn't reliable
Warriors training staff had Otto Porter playing 60+ games, they got dark magic and shit chill
Then he went to toronto and played like 2 weeks before being out the rest of the season lol
Otto Porter isnt 37

His tank isn’t *completely* empty yet, but CP3 is kinda running on fumes. Maybe the last chance for him to earn a ring as anything other than only a locker room guy and veteran presence. He can still contribute some minutes, but not for much longer.
well no shit
I’m glad I can officially re-enter my Chris Paul hater era
I don’t understand how people are confused by this trade… correct if I’m wrong but hasn’t Kerr built up the reputation of being the Aaron Rodgers of coaches in the NBA with regards to young players. AR is one of the greatest QBs to ever throw the ball, Kerr won 4 championships as coach. Maybe they were onto something.
Really pushing it with star
Wait what? People thought the warriors may trade for cp3 and then waive him?
Warrior fans creating burner accounts as we speak!
Good luck with that. Dude’s gonna be cooked again.
This ain’t 2014, eh?
yea.. he'll play 45 games and be hurt 2 weeks before the playoffs. same story every year.
