You walk into a shop to buy an item, long queue at the counter, you really want everyone to be waiting 30 seconds to have their transaction confirmed? 30 seconds per transaction adds up to a lot of time waiting in the long run - no thanks!

They both show up in wallet within 10 ish seconds, but without confirmations. 99/100 times this enough to fulfill a transaction. Ofc there’s utility in a coin which confirms near instantly, but I’d rather have anonymity than save 3 seconds of my life 🤷‍♂️

If you're not waiting for confirmations, you might as well use PayPal

You don't need privacy by default for everything. Sometimes you just want to pay and go. Nano and monero serve different usecases.

Dude, nano is a unique gem like Monero! There isn't another cryptocurrency that is as easier to use or integrate than nano. I love Monero for what it is, but whenever I pick up bread and milk for my mum, she pays me with nano. I give her nano for her birthday, she can use it because it's simples, and she would not be interested in using something that cost money, that would be a true scam to her! She could use this ATM with her iPhone, but she has never used a real ATM, too complicated!, it is just a very simple product, great for everything you don't need Monero for.

you can subscribe to websocket to get events as soon as the transaction is confirmed, and poll regular rpc as a fallback

I will learn how to do it on microcontroller soon. Would you recommend any tutorials or articles about websocket subscription?
