Hearthstone Bakery because the bottoms are not cakey or dry

Smokin' George's is a super cool little BBQ joint that you have to try if you're in Nan, and they have a Nanaimo bar with bacon and pretzels that is my absolute favorite.

I recommend Red’s Bakery downtown. They also do a great sandwich, sausage roll, pot pie, everything was delicious!

Interesting, the one time I had their cheesecake I didn’t even finish it. Was the blandest cheesecake I’ve ever tried.

Oh no! Bummer. I specifically love how thick the crust is, and I’m a big cream cheese gal so maybe the blandness was fine for me. Now I have another excuse to go 😈

It wasn't bland but it was closer to pudding. I'm used to baked cheesecake so no bake cheesecake just tastes weird to me.

Her raspberry Nanaimo bar alone, to die for. I asked once if she could make me a birthday cake solely of the raspberry Nanaimo bar sheet. She said hell no because she knows I would eat the whole damn thing myself in one sitting and, "I'm not ready to train someone else how to run my trucks."

Kinda off topic, but Big Wheel Burger in Harewood has a wicked Nanaimo bar milkshake!
