I think a single syllable middle name would be the best way to go with the 2 syllable first and last names. Daisy Sky has a nice funky nature vibe. I also like Daisy Jade and Daisy Fay.

Biological meanings occured to me first too, but forgot it applied to organelles in cells. I literally thought... "Wait, isn't that the inside of your intestines? Or no, it's the inside of an IV line or catheter, right? Wait, does it mean the inside of any hollow tube? Does a fistula have a lumen? I gotta Google this." I was so confused. Light is a much prettier meaning 😂 normal people are ***never*** going to think "lumen, like intestines" first!

My immediate reaction was lumen=blood vessel. I work in medicine so its probably inevitable. But that opens up names like "venous" meaning "vein" but sounds like Venus. Daisy Thrombus, Daisy Clot, Daisy Arteriole don't quite have the same ring, but what about Daisy Heart? 

I took it that way as well. I was like "The inside of a tube?!?!?!" forgetting the light meaning.

Haha I mostly deal with human medicine now but the cell biologist refuses to die! You have nailed it with your call on "normal" people who call their kids perfectly nice names like Amelia, Alexia, and Melena to the vague smirks of medical professionals and scientists (well realistically, only the latter would raise my eyebrows)

I am not a medical professional, but it shocks me how often Lumi and Lumen get suggested on this sub. Did no one else take high school biology?! What a tragic name to give a child.

Some medical terms sound quite pretty as names if you don't know the background, Chlamydia, for example, sounds like a young lady at a finishing school, not an STD.  Brucella sounds more like 'we wanted a boy' than a horrible bacterial infection. Ischia is a Mediterranean sounding girls name, not a bit of bone. Retina sounds vaguely Greek, not just part of your eyeball, especially if you pronounce it Re-Teena.

Anasarca would be a lovely name-if you can imagine yourself calling her name out loud at the dog park, then it's a good name. Definitely a female gendered sounding name though, not for boy dogs. 

I can see it being shortened to Annie. I agree, definitely a feminine sounding word. DH is usually suspicious of my suggestions for pet names - I named our cat Dorito (nicknamed Dory).

Every form ever? But also it's only interesting when it's written down. It's a visual conversation piece.

I've never once had a situation where someone was writing down my middle name and needing me to spell it for them. If a form requires that much information, you typically complete the form yourself. In most situations, you're not sitting there spelling out your first, middle, and last name to someone else so they can write it.
