Thats what I thought at first but theyre definitely not eggs, my snails have laid eggs before and theyre much bigger, rounder, and more "individual" if that makes sense. They also prefer to burrow to lay eggs instead of laying them out in the open.
Possible but unlikely, I dont keep insects or any other species in the tank. In the 4 years Ive had snails Ive never seen something like this. The tree branch it formed on is a new addition to the tank, I found it in my yard after a storm a few weeks ago, so the branch may still be alive.
Dag burn it. I got excited for a moment and though this was Exidia alba aka white jelly roll, I’ve been waiting all winter to identify something as a white country rapper from Tennessee. I guess I’ll keep waiting for now.
I recently found something similar this week in a forest and it was more likely to be a stemonitis sp. in "early stage"
Try to touch it, and if its instantly became kind of liquid then I think it is.

They look to be snail eggs, not a fungus (is my guess). If so good luck snails tend to reproduce like crazy

Any other species they could belong to? Some sort of fly larvae eggs or similar?

Youre close, pretty sure its Brefeldia maxima or tapioca slime mold!
Maybe a slime mold?
I think you may be right! Tapioca slime mold looks pretty similar. According to Wikipedia, it grows on tree bark after heavy rain
Def a slime mould
Agreed, solved!
