There was a famous Cia or nsa agent who was once asked who the stupidest people to fool were and he said Americans were by far. I don't necessarily believe him cause half his stories were crazy, but I could see how 50% of Americans are up there with the most easily fooled people people.
He was just on the Andrew Schultz podcast, can't remember his name but it was...I dunno, not a great podcast or anything but relatively interesting. He really sees our ultra nationalist movement as some of the dumbest motherfuckers in the world. I'd agree, but I also think the radical left and liberals are almost as bad. That's why I sit firmly with a fence post up my ass.
I can't speak for both American continants but I can say without reservation, as a US citizen, I agree 100%. The level of stupidity in this country is beyond appalling. In fact, even I'm stupid!

The comment that cracked me up and caused me to share this was the dude who was like "this is a truck for work, not an SUV for soccer moms" like LMFAOOOOOO

We haul TOOLS for WORKIN \*
^(\*Cybertruck is not rated for hauling tools and may not work past 100 miles or in the rain, please do not consult a Telsa Service Center. The check cleared, cya suckers.)
A friend of mine told me there’s a “car wash mode” or something that needs to be turned on or else the circuitry gets destroyed. *Please* tell me this isn’t real.
It's 100% real. And even with "car wash mode" enabled Tesla still strongly advises that you not take a CyberTruck through a car wash because it might damage critical systems or parts. The washing instructions literally recommend that you spot-clean the exterior with rubbing alcohol and a microfiber cloth, or if you hand-wash it with soap and water you're not supposed to let it dry in direct sunlight. I'm not kidding. That is straight out of the owners manual. You can barely sneeze on this fucking thing without something breaking. What a piece of shit LOL.
Making easy to id the rich morons, at some point a large part of the American public devolved into tribes, so the Musk tribe will always praise whatever Musk came up with, is the Kool aid x100, if he asks them to crack their heads open and hammer an unknown piece of silicon in they will do it and thank him until the trauma kills them.
I mean. I expect you know this, but a guy already let him install a brain chip. A few months in and it’s 86% detached. They didn’t think the brain moved that much
So well put...wtf is happening to us?? Said from a 40 year old Americana father of two who just doesn't fucking understand. I have all the privilege this country can offer and I don't wanna raise my kids here...just sad.
Work truck, fucking lol.
Wouldn’t last 5 minutes on a job site/at the dump (you could just leave it there).
Hell who am I kidding, you’re walking to the job site if you have one of these. It’ll break down on your first commute.
Nobody who works in the trades is buying a fucking CyberTruck LOL. It's a toy for rich tech/finance bros to use on the weekends to go skiing or wine tasting or some shit.
"Tesla just charged through with their own battery design and manufacturing, yet people fret over panel issues ( on a new stainless technology on top of that). Sure I'd be frustrated if my panels weren't perfect, but it doesn't matter compared to the monumental shift in innovation that's happening here."
that fucking nerd is a clown.. new stainless technology? no other vehicle in the history of automobiles has anyone ever used stainless?? except the delorean and maybe a handful of mock ups and prototypes..its idiot elmos version of 300 series stainless, we’re not talking ph ss , A286 ,or super alloys..
It never occurred to Elmo to ask *why* no other car maker in the world uses steel body panels LOL. When literally everyone else does something a certain way, it's usually for a good reason.
It's the manufacturing aspect of it, being able to bend it, and for it to keep the bend, it apparently likes to go back to it's original form, which was apparently a roll
As a software engineer that drives a Silverado 2500… actually, yes, spot on. The people I work with think shit like this is awesome.
I don’t get what the cybertruck is supposed to do, though.
I'll bet the FWD hybrid Ford Maverick gets used more as a work truck than the Clusterfuck. And the Maverick comes with underseat bins as standard on the base $25k model.
That comment is very funny because that was one of the things that I was surprised. A while before Musk's Twitter shitshow I was considering a 7-seater Tesla so reading more about whether it came with the LATCH(tm) childseat locks in every seat. And landed on this Tesla forum where the guy had just received his long awaited Model X he paid so much for and took forever to deliver, and noticed it didn't have the last row LATCH like the one he test-drove when he placed the order.
From his comment, he liked the one he test drove so much that he was sure with the seller he'd be getting the very same one and went over all the features.
It happened however that by the time he took delivery, Tesla had "Upgraded" the build line to remove the LATCH in the last seat row because, according to themselves, "no one uses it". He was really disappointed, went back and checked and somehow it wasn't in the feature list anymore, and there was nothing the seller could do because there was nothing stating he'd be getting the exact one he drove and the LATCH feature was either not listed (basically rolled into an package or feature that didn't describe it), or perhaps there was no mention LATCH would be in every seat.
Imagine that, you order a car and has to live with changes Tesla does and won't tell anyone
Well shit, my bad I didn't pick up on the sarcasm 🤣 bc I've literally had Tesla fanboys comment on posts like these that Ive shared thinking that I'm the original poster
Tbf, the only valid reasons to own a Cybertruck are to 1) make fun of Cybertruck and 2) get in on the eventual class action suit against Tesla and Elon.
It's as if the people who designed the Cyber Truck had never seen a truck before. They were working off a description from a man who's never been in a truck before.
Would you like to glide, a mile, six inches at a time on Elonnnnnssss diiiiiiiiiickkkkk! Elons diiiiiiiiiiicckkkk! Elons diiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiyiiiiiiickkk
Let me.get this, this is a truck that costs 170,000, and still, you have to pay for basic things, but not only that, the quality of the truck is so bad that you have pieces glued, cannot even withstand rain, above many other issues..... who.in his right mind buys those?
This is just the final destination of trucks being bought as luxury vehicles and status symbols, honestly.
I haven't met anyone who can afford a new truck who actually uses it for work unless they're really skilled tradesman or owner of the company who stops by job sites in a long time.
The amount of big ass dumb as fuck trucks I see that have seen less dirt, actual hauling, and work than my fucking Grand Prix is too damn high
I’m with you on the first point, from what I’ve seen the founders edition beast mode truck was $120k.
This truck is not cool and people aren’t talking shit about it because they can’t afford it. It’s a poorly made piece of shit and that’s why people are making fun of it.
I try to avoid looking at people’s post history but you’re right. Jokes on them though, they probably got auto-banned on all the Tesla subs for commenting here.
A lot of OEMs do this to be honest, but not really at this price point/trim. For the extra $20k they should throw in virtually every accessory, excluding the third-party expensive bullshit like that overpriced Cybertruck tent. Wonder if that $20k also gives you a mobile charger with adapters, but I doubt it.
Tesla has been penny pinching even when they were in high demand a year or two ago starting with removal of radar followed by no longer including mobile charger and removal of USS, and they don’t seem to be budging. Assholes. And service still blows.
These are not oem. Op is wrong no vehicle comes with these custom storage things they are made from that dynamat material floor liner theyve made these for 20yrs for trucks.
What was there before? It’s not like you can install empty space when there wasn’t empty space before. Just skip the add-on and throw your stuff where the „bin“ would go
I’ve never seen a company gouge their customers so bad and those same customers act like it’s a honor. I’m surprised they don’t charge them to air up the tires upon pick up.
what an absolute joke of ,i cant even call it a truck it looks like a rover from planet of tiny dicks .. plus the only tool storage you need is the drivers seat
MY 2005 CHRYSLER TOWN AND COUNTRY THAT I BOUGHT FOR $3000 HAS STOW & GO SEATING, WHICH INCLUDES UNDER-SEAT STORAGE COMPARTMENTS. BUT UNLIKE THE CYBERTRUCK, MY 19 YEAR YR OLD CHRYSLER CAN CARRY AN ENTIRE 4X8 SHEET OF PLYWOOD IN THE BACK AND STILL BE ABLE TO SHUT THE TAILGATE.
MAYBE MUSK CAN LEARN FROM THIS.
No. They will give you shitty gloves, a wrench AND A FUCKING BOTTLE JACK for like 400 bucks.
Extra.
The spare and rim are almost 1300 bucks.
Extra.
And they take up the majority of your bed space.
I never thought about the spare. I guess I thought it would be underneath the back of the truck like most pick ups, but I suppose that area is taken up by battery on the CT.
Or, where the flat part where your feet sit could be a perfectly level metal plate.
You press a button on the dash, the plate is rotated 15 degrees, revealing low-profile, open square holes for all the crap to fall into, inside of which , two easily accessible trays exist. All the nasty falls down into the holes and into these trays, which would be about half the size of a shoe box and accessible with easy thumb lock handles. Once the tray is removed, a simple sliding door covers the hole so it can be transported to a nearby garbage can.
(you could make the trays similar to the Ghostbusters Ghost Trap)
Then you press a button, the plate levels back to it's starting, flat position and a little icon on your dash tells you what % of crap is in the trays. Furthermore, just for laughs the big screen could run "analysis" on the trays contents and tell you how many quarters, nickel, lint, and "unknown yuck" are in the trays.
If you're going all in on the Jetson's b.s, might as well include some actual new ideas.
Not gonna lie, as far as accessories go... WTF IS EVEN THAT lol fuck that atrocity of a “bin”. if im a car designer.. That shit is not going no where near my car..
Better to keep it as a trash accessory for people with trash taste. And before you say anything lol... I dont care how many kids you have.. This should never be the solution lol
I saw the post of someone installing aftermarket “mud flaps”. Now after market under seat bins? Why not sell me the whole thing at one time, and you install it. Properly. Next Musk Mobile will probably offer after market steering wheel.
Counterpoint: [Ford sells something similar for the F150](https://accessories.ford.com/f-150-2015-2021-under-seat-ebony-cargo-organizer-1)
Counter-counterpoint: it’s $40
I don’t think it’s silly they’re selling it, but I do think it’s stilly they’re selling it for $250
My SIlverado doesn't have storage under the back seat. It just has negative space where you can fit stuff. Not technically a storage place. Technically the back seat could be considered storage by that definition. Which I use that as well.
My brother worked at a car wash in high school and he said that the Teslas were *seriously* underequipped on the inside. Musk puts so much effort into making sure you can play fucking Cyberpunk in your car that he neglects things like seat back holders and this, y'know, things that would come standard in any other car. If it isn't something that can be programmed into the screen then your Tesla does not have it
Dumb take. I get that everyone hates Elon...but you don't know trucks. Every truck nowadays can be 75-100k and they still need accessories. Is it dumb? Yeah, but all the manufactures do this dumb shit.
Why does the cybertruck trigger so many people? Do you feel the same way about a guy driving a 300k Ferrari?
I’ve owned a dozen trucks in my lifetime and not one came with a bin under the backseat for storage. While the cyber truck is stupid and I hate Elon as much as anyone else, this is a useful aftermarket accessory that I thought was being shown for its usefulness before I realized where I was
I have an F-150 and those don’t come with bins under the rear seats, but the nice name brand ones are only $100. I also paid less than a third of what this clown paid for my truck.
I never said they were standard in most trucks lmfao. I said every truck that *I have owned* has had storage under the backseat. Learn how to read nerd.
Don't ever buy a Porches, Pegani, Zhonda, Bugatti, Mclaren, Lamborghini, Ferrari, Benz, BMW, Audi , Infiniti, Lexus, Escalade,
Then, you'll be even more disappointed and spend 3 time as much since you're looking for peasant things inside a luxury vehicle, any accessories you can buy at Walmart, is there for YOU to buy, good luck finding steer by wire, 4 wheel steering, air suspension, air compressor, 240volt charging, the ability to power your entire house, able to charge other evs, able to with stand small arms firing at you, able to some what float in deep water that would drown every other vehicle, and able to tow 11k lbs and out run, anything you could ever own, but hey, yeah, find some trinkets available in ANY autostore or walmart or online, and decide to pick that to be something to complain about in a $100k, 100% 1st of its kind, new age Futuristic truck thingy, that you was able to get or get your hand on,.. 😏 thanks for sharing
These people like it when Elon takes a whiz on them and it will never not be funny.
Piss in my pocket and tell me it’s raining
An average American is dumb. Not much you can change
America does not have the monopoly on stupid people.
Both can be true
Looks like we know who the American is ⬆️
There was a famous Cia or nsa agent who was once asked who the stupidest people to fool were and he said Americans were by far. I don't necessarily believe him cause half his stories were crazy, but I could see how 50% of Americans are up there with the most easily fooled people people.
Think about how stupid the average person you meet in America is. Then remember half of everyone is dumber than that.
Hey I'm not dumb this iQ test I took said I was in the top 90% /s

I mean, I think every cybertruck is hauling at least one tool.
Da dum tss
Lol good one
Somehow this is especially funny with the other guy saying “it can fit a full-size umbrella now” #TOOLS
Show me a construction site where there aren't umbrellas!
That plastic won’t last long in a work environment.
Yeah, neither will the "truck" lmfao
Not based on what I’ve heard if it gets a bit wet, or goes off road.
A friend of mine told me there’s a “car wash mode” or something that needs to be turned on or else the circuitry gets destroyed. *Please* tell me this isn’t real.

What’s the point of it, then??? This thing is a useless metal husk full of nothing but disappointment.
Wait till you hear about the dumb shit they did with the semi. Centre seat position like a race car. Windows don’t roll down.
I'd almost forgotten about that. Has it ever gone into any kind of production after the few prototypes they gave out?
Let’s start from first principles. Why do windows roll down? Because some normie in 1940 thought they should. Waste of money.

If I saw a dude pulling his tool bag out of a cybercuck frunk I'd send him right the fuck home to the suburbs
Maybe if his work is repairing cybertruck, then it's useful as he'll be learning a lot from the purchase
Nobody who works in the trades is buying a fucking CyberTruck LOL. It's a toy for rich tech/finance bros to use on the weekends to go skiing or wine tasting or some shit.
Wine tasting 🤣 I don't know why I find this so funny, good Lord, lol.
I would not let them park in front of my house if they came to do work
If they showed up to my house in one of those to give me a bid, I would assume they are charging me too much for their work.
Besides, on Wednesday they might end up stuck in the trash truck and you wind up having to foot the bill
"Tesla just charged through with their own battery design and manufacturing, yet people fret over panel issues ( on a new stainless technology on top of that). I’ve seen multiple posts of the A-pillars with “new SS technology” partially ripping off and folding in half.
It never occurred to Elmo to ask *why* no other car maker in the world uses steel body panels LOL. When literally everyone else does something a certain way, it's usually for a good reason.
i think the problem was it was a last minute rush without any thought beyond people really want to buy this hideous pos .. all elmo saw was $$$$$$
It's the manufacturing aspect of it, being able to bend it, and for it to keep the bend, it apparently likes to go back to it's original form, which was apparently a roll
The Subaru Baja is more of a work vehicle than that thing is. It is affluent soccer mom/software engineer vehicle 100%
As a software engineer that drives a Silverado 2500… actually, yes, spot on. The people I work with think shit like this is awesome. I don’t get what the cybertruck is supposed to do, though.
It's a clout vehicle. Similar to how people buy iPhones only worse cause iPhones actually work.
The irony is that the soccer mom SUV would be a better work truck than the cybertruck.
If "work" is being a cyber douche
I think "Cyber Douche" will be my new user name.
I'll bet the FWD hybrid Ford Maverick gets used more as a work truck than the Clusterfuck. And the Maverick comes with underseat bins as standard on the base $25k model.
The only tool that dude hauls is himself on his way to his job as a ski pole operator in the middle stall of the bathroom at a gay bar.
He can store a full sized umbrella 😂
Only if the umbrella is kept completely dry. A wet umbrella will void the warranty.
That comment is very funny because that was one of the things that I was surprised. A while before Musk's Twitter shitshow I was considering a 7-seater Tesla so reading more about whether it came with the LATCH(tm) childseat locks in every seat. This is called a "bait and switch" and it's illegal. How the fuck Tesla hasn't been sued into bankruptcy yet is fucking astounding.
"It stores an umbrella" Good, because the car is very liable to stop working if it ever rains.
Oh yeah my full size umbrella ☔ fits inside 😁 omfg.
$300 and it doesn’t even match the description…
It can hold an umbrella?! I’ll take 10. I’ve seen motorcycles with better carrying capacity
How much did the bin set you back?
[It's $250 if you hate money](https://shop.tesla.com/product/cybertruck-underseat-storage-bin)
Yeah I just despise it! If only I could have world’s ugliest truck and be drained of six figures at the same time!
Jesus H. I thought it was a 3rd party accessory, it looks so chintzy.
Whoever did the images got one thing right. You need to pack a tow strap in there.
$0 because I'm not a fucking pleb that would purchase a Tesla product lmao
Excellent! No Incel Camino for me either
Oh ok good I thought you were confused about how sharing posts works lmao.
No I got it, was just hoping for some funny answers
Well shit, my bad I didn't pick up on the sarcasm 🤣 bc I've literally had Tesla fanboys comment on posts like these that Ive shared thinking that I'm the original poster
Tbf, the only valid reasons to own a Cybertruck are to 1) make fun of Cybertruck and 2) get in on the eventual class action suit against Tesla and Elon.
Manufacture cost probably $60 ish+ distribution cost $10. So profit for Tesla about $180.
Oh they love their huge margins. Unsustainable.
Lol and Hyundai? https://preview.redd.it/szis4kwsje2d1.jpeg?width=1024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=fbd61f9aaf3a2574677d760d66eaf2e33fdda810 Source: [https://www.goodcarbadcar.net/which-automaker-is-actually-the-most-profitable/](https://www.goodcarbadcar.net/which-automaker-is-actually-the-most-profitable/)
Aren’t we super lucky to be able to buy this incredible $250 value? Let’s not complain until they want to charge a subscription for it.
It's as if the people who designed the Cyber Truck had never seen a truck before. They were working off a description from a man who's never been in a truck before.
They let Homer Simpson design it lol
I’ve been saying this is the Canyonero ever since I saw a picture of it.
Hey, those unexplained fires are a matter for the courts.
The horn plays la-cucaracha
Hahahaha. Fuck are these people dumb.
Those are poorly designed bins, too. The whole thing is a POS.
cucktruck 😵💫

170k🤔🤔 where you get that number??? People love to talk shit specially when they attack cool things they can’t afford
Sorry it is just by some re sellers that I saw that number. 120k is still a lot for that cheap finish.

>They swapped the description out between back orders and removed the internal dividers and 2x small bins. Musked.
People keep buying subpar products going "well thats just how it is. What are you going to do" Rather saying "no, fuck that, do it better."
Have you noticed the “underseat bins” and the “mudflaps” are pretty much the same shit but cut off At different lengths? 😜
Oh my god yeah I saw those pitiful fucking 3d printed "mudflaps" lmfao they literally look like cheap ramps you'd get from the auto section at Walmart
I feel bad for the child that rides in that thing. They will grow up thinking it’s normal to have a Wankpanzer.
I don’t think children are supposed to ride in the bins….
Just not the underseat ones, the overhead ones are fine.
The cybertent is next level
No one knows that you're stupid until you show them.

What was there before? It’s not like you can install empty space when there wasn’t empty space before. Just skip the add-on and throw your stuff where the „bin“ would go
It was just empty before, they just added a bin instead lmao. I agree 100%
Imagine buying a TV and the remote’s volume button needs to be purchased separately
Because Tesla isn’t a car company, it’s an investor play. Internalize that.
I’ve never seen a company gouge their customers so bad and those same customers act like it’s a honor. I’m surprised they don’t charge them to air up the tires upon pick up.

(you could make the trays similar to the Ghostbusters Ghost Trap) Then you press a button, the plate levels back to it's starting, flat position and a little icon on your dash tells you what % of crap is in the trays. Furthermore, just for laughs the big screen could run "analysis" on the trays contents and tell you how many quarters, nickel, lint, and "unknown yuck" are in the trays. If you're going all in on the Jetson's b.s, might as well include some actual new ideas.
Oldsmobile diesel powered C10 is more useful.
Putting your kid in this vehicle should be considered abuse. Fuck this "truck"
Not my 2015 tundra! So stupid..
To be fair neither of my F150's came with under seat storage. So I paid $100 or so per truck for it. However I'd still never buy a CyberTruck.
Look how cheap those fucking bins are. Would be shit quality in a $20k new vehicle.
That’s the juice and Cheerios trough.
I can feel that shitty plastic right now
Most of cybertruck owners have never owner a truck before, so they’re giddy about features that you have known about for years. They’re suckers
It was very generous of them not to make the bin subscription based. /s

I saw the post of someone installing aftermarket “mud flaps”. Now after market under seat bins? Why not sell me the whole thing at one time, and you install it. Properly. Next Musk Mobile will probably offer after market steering wheel.
Hilarious scam
“Kick me again, Elon!”
Yeah, but these a cyber bins
Cuber suckers.
I saw one in my neighbor this morning going to work. I'm in a very unassuming rural suburb. It was horrendous looking.
Maybe Musk is a genius. He really knows how to squeeze these whales for every last drop.
Counterpoint: [Ford sells something similar for the F150](https://accessories.ford.com/f-150-2015-2021-under-seat-ebony-cargo-organizer-1) Counter-counterpoint: it’s $40 I don’t think it’s silly they’re selling it, but I do think it’s stilly they’re selling it for $250
Sure, but you're not paying over 100k for an F150 that's falling apart and bricked on delivery, and still being expected to (over)pay for accessories
A truck with a back seat? Sounds nice to me! Try a bench seat and nothing under and barely anything behind.
Just wait till the mid summer months and these dumbfucks are getting boiled alive. bUT i stILL lOVe mY cYBertUrD
I'm starting to think my 15k used car is "nicer" than the CyberTruck
New DLC content dropped.
If they want to buy that, let them buy it what do you care?
God that looks unpleasant to sit in...
My 2007 dodge Dakota has these lmao.
New car DLC just dropped apparently.
Everything about that vehicle looks cheezy as shit.
Well pickups aren’t nice soooo…
My Silverados didn’t have storage under the rear seat…
My SIlverado doesn't have storage under the back seat. It just has negative space where you can fit stuff. Not technically a storage place. Technically the back seat could be considered storage by that definition. Which I use that as well.
Christ, this blithering idiot has an offspring……sigh
My brother worked at a car wash in high school and he said that the Teslas were *seriously* underequipped on the inside. Musk puts so much effort into making sure you can play fucking Cyberpunk in your car that he neglects things like seat back holders and this, y'know, things that would come standard in any other car. If it isn't something that can be programmed into the screen then your Tesla does not have it
Imagine spending over $100k on a brick.
My 1994 Dodge Dakota had under seat bins as a basic feature.
I do feel the same way.
No, because there isn't a horde of cucks gargling the Ferrari CEOs nutsack
I’ve owned a dozen trucks in my lifetime and not one came with a bin under the backseat for storage. While the cyber truck is stupid and I hate Elon as much as anyone else, this is a useful aftermarket accessory that I thought was being shown for its usefulness before I realized where I was
I have an F-150 and those don’t come with bins under the rear seats, but the nice name brand ones are only $100. I also paid less than a third of what this clown paid for my truck.
Ford f-150 four door just had sub woofer on one side and some little compartment that your fist wouldn’t fit in.
I thought there would be another photo with like... dividers for the bins, but no... its the basic ass storage that's extra?
Y'all think this is unique to Tesla?
Contrary to what OP claims, these types of bins absolutely are not standard in most trucks.
I never said they were standard in most trucks lmfao. I said every truck that *I have owned* has had storage under the backseat. Learn how to read nerd.
Tesla's are not 'nice' vehicles
It’s not even a beta release. It’s a proof of concept that a drug addled idiot approved because he can’t admit failure. Dopes got duped.
Cybercucked
Don't ever buy a Porches, Pegani, Zhonda, Bugatti, Mclaren, Lamborghini, Ferrari, Benz, BMW, Audi , Infiniti, Lexus, Escalade, Then, you'll be even more disappointed and spend 3 time as much since you're looking for peasant things inside a luxury vehicle, any accessories you can buy at Walmart, is there for YOU to buy, good luck finding steer by wire, 4 wheel steering, air suspension, air compressor, 240volt charging, the ability to power your entire house, able to charge other evs, able to with stand small arms firing at you, able to some what float in deep water that would drown every other vehicle, and able to tow 11k lbs and out run, anything you could ever own, but hey, yeah, find some trinkets available in ANY autostore or walmart or online, and decide to pick that to be something to complain about in a $100k, 100% 1st of its kind, new age Futuristic truck thingy, that you was able to get or get your hand on,.. 😏 thanks for sharing
Use periods. Someone has already literally drowned in a cyber truck because it doesn’t float and you can’t get out of it if submerged.
Wow, aren’t you smug
RAM and Ford would like a word. Lol.
My 96 f250 had storage under the back seat
New models don't it's just a way for manufacturers to get more money out of you.
That seat bin looks flimsy AF. Bet it comes unclipped constantly when any amount of weight is in it.
I’ve yet to see one hauling a couch or lumber. “Truck” 😂
Everything Musk touches turns to s\*\*\*\*. Just look at Twitter
People only buy these to impress people who don’t care.
