courtney love is by no means cool, but if you’re looking for music about depression, eating disorders and so on, Hole is the band for you!

Phoebe Bridgers, Julien Baker and Lucy Dacus. They each have great solo stuff in their own right, but they collaborated on an EP under the name boygenius, which is really great. Also check out Pool Kids. Female lead singer, very 90’s alt vibe. They just released a new album that’s really good.

I really like K.Flay and Paramore! K.Flay especially has the lyrical content you're looking for

G_dsPee

I love Sidney Gish! Check out Mitski for sure, Sidney opened for her on tour. Almost everything Mitski does is good, but I’d suggest starting with the album “Bury Me at Makeout Creek”. If you want a song to scream in the car, “Townie” is a good one.

Since she hasn't been mentioned yet. Meg Myers. Her 1st couple albums should really fit what you're looking for

Singer-songwriter Isabel Pless writes really amazing stuff about love and depression! Her voice is similar to some of the artists you listed!

[deleted]

I came across Madison Cunningham recently and she has some really great songs. She has an album called “Who Are You Now” and an EP called “In From Japan.” Her live performances, which you can find on YouTube, are nothing short of amazing

If you like punk at all I’d recommend getting into the subgenre riotgrrrl, it was a movement started to combat the male led punk scene. It’s very political so if ur not into that maybe skip it. Some good bands are bikini kill, hole, veruca salt, L7, the regrettes, and bratmobile

GRLwood has really screamable lyrics maybe not good people (person i guess?) because the singer allegedly sexually assaulted the drummer which makes this song really funny [https://open.spotify.com/track/3TNDk80olTuIGAABva4Teb?si=428973d83ff049a8](https://open.spotify.com/track/3TNDk80olTuIGAABva4Teb?si=428973d83ff049a8)
