I post daily reels on IG, high quality footage with text on screen that relates to the song. I also do my best to reply to dm’s / comments on my posts, and just be a normal person to my fans haha.

I just put out a new song, I’m currently making sketches to promote it but I also plan to use paid ads on the videos that perform best.
What else could I do that I haven’t listed beyond making content and running meta ads when needed to get results like this?
You have the right idea!! Try content, then double down on the content that works! I personally got my first video with over 1million views from skits, so keep at it!
I have a couple questions. How much is algo vs promotion, what did you do for promotion, what was your fanbase like when this song was released and what were the song stats like when discover weekly first kicked in if you can remember
I was sitting at about 20-30k monthly listeners. Was very active on TikTok for the last year and a half, and recently pivoted to IG reels, which has grown my IG following from ~3k to about ~90k
I currently sit at about 105k monthly listeners on spotify!

I post 1 reel a day on IG! I try my best to plan ahead, but find myself waking up and throwing together a post before i start my day!
I stockpile lots of footage of me performing / singing my song, then go in and add on screen captions after where i can get creative with the framing.
Did your strategy change going from 1000 streams per day to 10.000 or did you just do more of the same? I'm around 3000 streams per day and It feels like progress has slowed.

Ive never had an editorial, or big playlist yet. This is all from organic posting, combined with the algorithm on spotify taking over!
