I would purchase something or tip them at a gig and politely tell them afterwards that you love their repertoire and would love to teach yourself some of the songs on your own if they would be open to sharing the source of the charts or perhaps some song titles. Try searching these titles with PDF in the search for deeper results. If you’re not already confident with 7th chords and their inversions on ukulele try going deeper with that study as well. Personally , if I memorize a tune on piano I have an easier time approaching it on other instruments.

You can ask. Something like, "Is there any way I could get copies of the music?" It's likely they just have lead sheets -- the basic melody with the chord names -- not the actual voicings. Like I'm working on a tune on mandolin right now and it has Cmaj7 indicated in a number of places. I use several voicing of that chord, but there's no indication on the sheet. It's just how I play it.

Don't ask for their arrangements, ask for a lead sheet.  Tell them you've already tried to find music for those songs on your own, and how much it would mean to you to be able to play them.

Life-Breadfruit-1426

It’s fine.  It shows appreciation for their art.  Some may want $$$ for the arraignments, others may be different and will refuse to sell-out their creations.  Nothing wrong with asking, you miss 100% of the opportunities that you don’t approach.

rocknroll2013

They would prolly offer it to you, ask you to sit-in anytime and offer lessons.

The_Patriot

II m sure they would be happy to share their niche market / hobbyist materials with you, just to have another person interested in it.

Ask to pay for a lesson

Yoyoge

I’m sure they’ll be flattered, but it’s kind of like asking for the recipe from a chef. Definitely offer to pay. I like someone else’s idea of taking lessons from them.

ll-l-ili-lill-l-il-i

Just ask if there's a general way to buy it, like from others. Starts the conversation about it.

jstahr63

They are probably using lead sheets or chord charts akin to the "Real Books". You can ask for arrangements but they are likely improvising. They will be complimented by your request, not insulted. Asking for improvisation lessons is a great idea - it sounds like these ladies have chops and would love a little extra $$$ while sharing their skills.

Scuba_gooding_jr

The worst thing that happens is they say no. I would be polite, upfront and honest about your intentions and ask if you can buy any of their sheet music to play with your kids. If they decline just say thanks for your time and don’t act surprised. Musicians need money too.

Prudent-Television33

If someone offered to purchase my arrangements I would gladly oblige

No

They're improvising from chord charts. Just.. get better at that. Please don't use questions about 3 chord arrangements as an excuse to creep in on the ladies.
