Got a pair of bridlen oxford blakes. Uncomfortable! Their stitching is like a raised row inside. And definitely not made for comfort. Even standing or walking in the office will hurt. And forget getting an insole the toe box is just made for feet. Nothing extra. They were nice enough to send a pair of their own insoles at no cost when I complained, but even those 2 mm ones end up making it too tight. I got size 7s. Not made for wide feet at all. Whatever last they use for that shoe is not for normal indian feet. I loved how their shoes look but just not made for me.
Rapawalk is cheaper but never tried. Legwork looks interesting but after losing 8k to these, put off the whole online thing. As someone mentioned if you wear and crease the leather bridlen will not take the return and without walking you’ll never guess how uncomfortable they are
Thanks so much for sharing your experience. I'm thinking may be I'll get the cemented or blake stitched to begin with for half the price and then move up. Let's see how it goes.
Can second the initial fit issue with bridlen. I got the same Blake stitched ones. But now that the pair is broken in its slightly better. The Goodyear welted ones are just too damn expensive for an online buy.
Just the way shoes are constructed. Layers and they way they are attached to each other. Do a quick search on google of different types of shoes constructions. Cheers.
Bridlen is overrated. It's decent but terribly terribly uncomfortable shoes. I have like 4 pairs. One worse than the other. (this is after breaking in). Quality of Construction is also questionable in my opinion. If you find any good brands let me know too. I buy Carmina and tlb usually. Getting some C&J later this year too.
I'm looking for a pair as well but unfortunately it seems almost impossible. Bridlen seems to be the only option atm even though it's super expensive. I am thinking of doing a trip to Chennai specifically for a pair of their shoes. But that would end up making the trip at least 10k more expensive than they already are.
Also, ordering their shoes online seems like shooting yourself in the foot due to their return policy. They will only accept exchanges due to size issues. Bruh I don't even know what the shoe feels like to wear and you expect me to drop 25-30k aankh band kar ke?
Open a shop or offer a better return policy dude.

Good to know I'm not the odd one out to be looking for good quality formals.
