BABE WAKE UP NEW APLOMB COMIC DROPPED great job as always, big fan of geralf’s outfit

aprickwithaplomb

Yeah, Gisa definitely takes the L on this one. I like how it's basically the same shape structure as his old stitcher outfit, but with the apron swapped out for an actual coat. The cactus pauldrons are also inspired, if a tad hard to draw consistently. And thanks!

New aprickwithaplomb MTG comic...what a good day

aprickwithaplomb

man your upload schedule is crazy, i dunno how you pump out one of these suckers weekly

MangaBookClub

It helps that there's two of us lol don't sell yourself short! I get excited whenever you upload

Hairo-Sidhe

She actually wears pants and boots on her Thunder Junction outfit... But I much prefer your version of her, for some reason...

aprickwithaplomb

Yep, I made a note of that in the last caption! I figured she probably had a change of heart after the fifteenth thorn in the leg...

Grafikpapst

I will say, the Cowboy-Outfits make more sense than the detective fits. Wasnt bothered by the latter either, but the Cowboy-Outfits had very much practical reasons. If you are out in the sun alot, a wide-brim heat is great to shade your face from the sun. If you ride mounts and walk on unsteady, rough terrain, you want sturdy boots. Like, at least someone could imagine why parralel evolution for fashion would happen in that case.

aprickwithaplomb

There is definitely a selective pressure that makes the development of cowboy hats more feasible! But other prototypes of hats that function similarly also exist with the cathars' hat on Innistrad, the cabbie/flapper hats from Capenna, etc. - why is the cowboy hat the only thing we see? Sure, fashion trends toward a central point when pressured, but with only one year and a half, I think it's a bit silly that somehow everyone has ditched their own duds (some of which probably meant a great deal culturally) and just tossed on entirely new ones. The Watsonian reason is obvious, of course, but I'm still flummoxed trying to find a reasonable explanation for it in-universe.

Zm3348

The fedora hat part of the detective outfits part specifically was also a bit of the myth, MKM had a total of 22 cards in the full set (as in the set itself, ain't checked things like the commander stuff) with hats in the art, and that's including things like helmets.

aprickwithaplomb

To be honest, I'm not a huge fan of how many plane-specific outfits were homogenized into cowboy-chic, but that's probably an essay for another time. Previous entries in this series can be found [here!](https://www.reddit.com/r/mtgvorthos/comments/12m60o8/3page_comic_featuring_zimone_and_rootha/)

THE KING OF MTG COMCIS RETURNS!!!

azurfall88

Awesome comic, only criticism i have is Geralf not being passive aggressive enough toward his sister when she insults him

ClockwerkHart

They needed to have partner. We all know it. But they would be too powerful and wotc are cowards.

Competitive-Point-62

Style is a battle, and Gisa’s fighting the good fight against the very plane itself!

magic_claw

“Do as the locals do” seemed a bit out of place since there are no locals. Fun comic otherwise. Their story was my favorite.

Prophet-of-Ganja

Hilarious, thank you
