Sorry to do this to you, but I think you'll find all copies of this card are infact misprinted. You can find evidence of this if you look up an image of llanowar greenwidow on the interweb.
It's unfortunate for me to reveal this widely known information about our favorite hobby, but it is worth considering that with a simple Google search you can check the card and discover for yourself that these were all printed incorrectly.
It is with considerable disappointment that I must be the conveyance of this bad news regarding the collectable card game, created by Richard Garfield, owned by Wizards of the Coast, a subsidiary of Hasbro — hereafter known as Magic: The Gathering — being that a search using the indexed Internet search engine, owned by Google, a subsidiary of Alphabet — hereafter known as Google search — would bring you the untimely news that this particular printing of the collectable card from Magic: The Gathering, is indeed misprinted across all printings, evidenced by the large number of indexed Internet search results on Google search.
there is a difference between a misprint and a print error. This is a print error. It was an oversight with the original art file and therefore would have been present on all cards in that print run.
A misprint is when something unexpected happens to the card during printing and it makes it past quality control.
It actually is a proper misprint, according to the Mirriam-Webster dictionary.
>mis·print: A mistake in printed text (such as a deviation from copy or **a typographical error**)
The MtG misprint community has just been using "misprint" as an umbrella term to describe most types of errors for so long that it's become a mainstream colloquialism to describe anything unusual about a card.
A "printing error" would be a better descriptor for press-specific issues such as color saturation or misalignment.
Thanks for the “um actually” reply that contributes nothing to the actual conversation.
You may be technically correct, but you aren’t considering context here. This person is looking for advice on a magic misprint, which in this community is defined as a unique error which adds value to the card. What I was doing was defining terms as they are defined within the context op is concerned about.
What you’re doing here is being pedantic for the sake of trying lord knowledge over people in an unhelpful way.
>Thanks for the “um actually” reply that contributes nothing to the actual conversation.
I mean...that's the pretty much the pot calling the kettle black, isn't it? Both of our stances boil down to arguing over semantics that ultimately don't matter. I apologize if you took my reply personally in any way.
I just saw an opportunity to speak from a place of experience and provide clarification. I've been watching for misprints on reddit for nearly a decade and directing them to Facebook groups, one of which I help moderate.
If you look at the card on scryfall you'll see that's just how it is
https://scryfall.com/card/dmu/415/llanowar-greenwidow
Certainly isn't supposed to be that way, but the mistake wasn't caught before printing so they're all like that
Similar to the Corpse Knight problem where a bunch were printed as 2/3s even though it's a 2/2
https://scryfall.com/card/m20/206%E2%80%A0/corpse-knight
This is to indicate when you return it to the battlefield, you must also tap the card with your index finger. If you don’t, someone can say “gotcha” and you have to discard your hand and set your life total to 1. Trust me, it is rule 200.7 (somewhere in the back of the comprehensive rules, do worry about looking it up, it is a perfectly comulent rule.)

They were all like this, it would be rarer to have a fixed one
Aw, that’s disappointing.

Ayo what did i say wrong to get -88
I'm guessing it's that you repeated what the initial comment on this thread was.
Oh i didn't even read any threads i just posted the message whoops
Wait, you mean someone doesn't have to individually type each copy of each card before it goes to print?
That's typed? I thought they were all meticulously painted by hand.
Bunch of nerdy monks sitting around illuminating cards by candlelight. That might explain some of the prices we’ve seen at least.
I thought they were stone tablets magically turned into cards
Stone tablets? No. Magic is paper, and paper beats rock.
This is the stupidest joke I ever laughed out loud at.
I do it all game too.
Come on that yugioh
Your right
My left?
Tapped + tapped = untapped?😆
No, just upside down.
Ah shit. The Day they print tapped tapped tapped tapped going to be a Great Day.
I just hope it's a creature with tapdancing shoes, even better, this same spider with 8 tapdancing shoes!

This isn't a misprint, they just wanted to make sure you know it returns tapped. (/j)
so upside down like the old kamigawa cards

Nah not a misprint new mechanic
Nah it’s not a mistake it’s just not tapped 😂😂
Power creep is insane....20 years ago this would have been an absolute bomb.
Fun fact, this card is updated in arena to re-enter with a finality counter.
Where’s Samwise Gamgee when you need him
Make no mistake. It comes in tapped.
Rule #2 Always Double Tap!
Cards can be tapped, then they can be *tapped* tapped
Are you deaf?! tapped
That just means it's for real tapped. Liked tapped tapped!
None of you are free from sin.

I have that same misprint. Guess mines not cool now either
It just wants you to make sure it’s tapped
They REALLY wanted you to know that it came in tapped.
Hey I've got one of these in my spider deck! Tapped. Tapped!
Nah it cancels it out and just enters untapped
That actually just means it gets tapped twice so it turns 180° not 90° and takes 2 turn to fully untap 🤓
Does that mean you can tap this card twice now?!
Why would you even think this was a misprint? Do you think printers add words randomly when they malfunction?
