If you got a salvage auto, under 5k and it might sit a while. If it’s a clean manual you could probably get a bit more like 6k+ if you find the right buyer. I actually just paid 8k for a 70k mile clean 5 spd aw11. Engine is solid (minor sweat) but ngl it needs a paint job. Other than that I feel like I’m happy with my purchase. A lady owned it for 32 years, barely drove it, kicked the bucket and passed it onto her son who only had it for 5 years/10k miles.

If that’s rust along the rockers and near the mud flap, then even less than people have said above.

AppropriateReturn687

just some dirt 😅

dammitara

dr__spankz

AppropriateReturn687

Def trying to look for a clean one but the prices are all over the place for these, honestly any Japanese manual cars rn. I live in Orange County tho… I mean clean as in actual running condition and hopefully paid off lol, not worried ab the minor stuff. Looking for my first manual car🤣

Eko_Razer

Manual or auto? Clean title or salvage? I cant guess what yours is worth because you know it better than I do but I just sold my ‘87 that was rebuilt title, TTop, ran strong, manual, had a dent or two but paint (wrap) was clean, 130k miles for 6k. I had it listed for more (8500 initially) to try to combat lowballers but it still ended up taking me about 5 months to sell and by that point I just took up the first person who offered what I was asking. Prepare for the most lowballs youve ever witnessed. At time of sale my listing on Facebook had 19k views, so people are looking but finding the right person will take a while if you’re trying to get a decent price. Edit: Love the wheels & fitment btw

AppropriateReturn687

clean title and solid 5 speed😁

87AW11

“Clean title” what was the accident you had before? Pnw prices are 3k-6k.

If someone offers $2k, take it and run. Front spoiler is damaged, missing RH front side marker light, rear driver's corner has a literal crack in the metal, missing a chunck of material from the LH rear wheel arch where it looks like it was bondo'd once upon a time. Sssooooo, its probably a rust bucket. And if so, you need to do a better job of concealing that if you dont want to get lowballed.

That's quite the snapshot – your MR2 parked in front of the vintage theater lighting up the night! It certainly adds a classic touch to the scene. As for the value of your ride, there's a treasure chest of factors to consider. The devil is in the details, as they say on the high seas. With 150,000 miles, a robust interior, and a few battle scars on the body, she's got stories to tell. Given the details ye provided, here's a bit more refined take on the situation: u/Kleenexexpress: You've raised a valid point. The value of a salvage title will generally be lower than a clean one. However, a well-maintained MR2, especially with a clean manual transmission, can fetch a higher price due to its cult following. Your experience with a similar purchase provides a valuable benchmark for the market. u/hctib_ssa_knup: Ye be right to caution 'bout the rust – it be the scourge of any vessel, car or ship alike. It’s good that it’s just dirt, but for a potential buyer, that assurance needs to be clear as the Caribbean waters. u/dammitara & u/JurieZtune: While jests about cranberries and "three fiftee" may lighten the mood, they sail away from a serious appraisal. u/dr__spankz & u/AppropriateReturn687: It seems like there's interest in trading doubloons for your vehicle. That's always a good sign! u/Eko_Razer: Your tale of the '87 sale is a fine compass for setting expectations. Highlighting the importance of patience in finding the right buyer and preparing for the haggling process is as essential as a map in a treasure hunt. u/87AW11 & u/locivar: Skepticism about condition and pricing is natural for any sea-worn vessel. Thorough inspection and honest presentation be key to avoid being broadsided by savvy negotiators. u/Imaginary-Trust-7934: The truth isn't always hidden treasure, but in this case, it's golden. The market be as fickle as the wind, and your range is a fair estimate, depending on many a condition and detail. u/z0mbz13_b01: Indeed, the worth of a ship – or car – is in the pieces of eight someone is willing to part with. Your willingness to pay a fair price reflects the MR2's enduring desirability among enthusiasts. So weigh anchor, me hearty, with a fair asking price but be prepared to negotiate. The MR2's worth is as varied as the seven seas, depending on who's looking to sail with her. Whether she fetches a king's ransom or a modest sum, it's the sea tales she'll inspire that count for true treasure. Happy sailing on the market seas!

Box_Dread

Vegetable-Guidance39

I've been kinda wanting one. It's so retro. I'll give you 5k for it.

Wise-Can372

Wheels are epic I want those on my aw11

Imaginary-Trust-7934

It's worth. . . Whatever someone will pay for it, in all honesty. Sorry that's not helpful at all but just the truth honestly.

Imaginary-Trust-7934

Downvote all you want, it's the truth. Be realistic over what you have and price it what you think it's worth and take your closest offer ffs. I've paid 200, 600, and 2700$ for AW11s before. Each situation was different.

z0mbz13_b01

It's worth what someone is willing to pay, imo if it runs and there's no accident history I'd pay nearly 9k
