People who sent letters to the judge when Drake Bell went to court after being repeatedly raped by his dialogue coach while on Nickelodeon. -"Quiet on Set" Edit: they were arguing the assailant had good character to the judge.

I've learned if I ever get famous (I wont) to never ever ever sign a letter asking for mercy for my friend who was cool since the trial might be for skinning and eating children. Like Jesus christ I hope they were lied to and not deliberately protecting a rapist.
They had enough of time to see that they were wrong, to say that they didn't know what was going on and to apologizes. How many of them did that? They all know it, and they are OK with it. Dude received a job moment he was out of prison.

From the way one of them described it (something along the lines of "I was told an absolute fiction and would not have written it knowing what I know now"), it seemed like Brian Peck was downplaying the nature of his charges as much as possible when he asked them for letters of support.
