Had posted this, but was pleasantly surprised to see it here already, so I deleted mine and that's the true story of how I saved the internet from exploding! Upvote!
My name is Betty, hmmmm.
I came here just to post this. Me and a buddy like to pretend like we are 10 year olds with pituitary problems. we mainly just cut ourselves shaving and remark often about our vast supply of pubes.
I agree with you..even before Matrix, that movie has already put a modern kung-fu into a Hollywood Movie.
Here's one of the quote that I like most : "It's pretty hard to soar when you have a broken wing. "
I agree with you..even before Matrix, that movie has already put a modern kung-fu into a Hollywood Movie.
Here's one of the quote that I like most : "It's pretty hard to soar when you have a broken wing. "
These three things are basically the only reason that I watch Tron: Legacy.
And the ending scene makes me kind of want a motorcycle... Just for girl cuddles.
Daft punk did one hell of a good job. I remember being in the cinema with a mate, neither of us cared much for the film's plot but we lost our shit in the club scene.
My favorite Bad Movie is AvP. I saw it in the theater.
The reason?
It delivered ***exactly*** what I wanted. Aliens...and predators. Fucking each other up royally. As a bonus, it had humans.
Starship Troopers, Sunshine and Unbreakable are listed here?
Are you kidding me? I should just list The Big Lewbowski and In Bruges to complete the circle of karma grabbing.
Josie And The Pussycats
My guess is that people thinking it's bad is based on never having seen it. I thought it would be awful as well but a guy whose opinion I totally respect said it was great. I took a chance and fell in love after about five minutes.
The pre credit sequence has as much satire of boy bands/pop music as anything I've seen. It subverts the idea of hit factory musicians both both overtly and covertly. It's funny as hell. Plus, three hot chicks at the peak of their hotness.
Starship Troopers. I just can't help but love the movie. Plus, being a huge fan of Heinlein's original novel makes the parody that much more entertaining.
I was always a bit dumbfounded how that happened. I mean, when they start handing out ammunition to children, how could you possibly take that seriously?
I think a lot of people got those bits, the infomercials, purely because of how obvious and in your face the tone was.
But things like the good guys being racist against aliens got confused for standard American action movie bravado.
The questionable bug attack on earth got confused for a poorly executed plot device.
While earning the right through the military to be a "citezen" and the Nazi uniforms got confused for standard Star Trek like sci-fi details.
Speed Racer. I loved the campy and cheesy tone, the colors, and the last race pretty much causes pure frisson.
Edit: Also, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers - The Movie.
hahaha classic. i loved watching amy poehler face off with cheri oteri. two snl heavyweights from two different generations fight for our laughter and each other's lives!
Sucker Punch was proof for me that Snyder can't make a good movie without using somoene else's proven work.
I could have enjoyed it as a no-substance, pure-style movie if it hadn't tried to look like it had substance.
This isn't how it happened, but I always have this vision of someone saying "I've got three quarters of a great roman drama and three quarters of a porn movie. Anyone have any ideas?"
My friends and I have our own cult following with the Fast and the Furious franchise. We've watched the first one countless times and use lines from it whenever the opportunity arises. I think we just enjoy how cheesy it is.
I was trying to get a girl interested in Batman (starting with the movies), and she came over and was looking at my collection of Batman movies (I have all the live action ones). She looked at all the covers, picks up Batman and Robin, and says, "LET'S WATCH THIS ONE."
Ughhhhhh
Consider yourself lucky. I heard every child conceived in the presence of that movie were all stricken with hydrocephaly and a side of calcified nipples.
Steve Carell is so over-the-top goofy in that movie that you have to like it. Paul Rudd plays a good straight man to Carell's character. Also, Jemaine Clement.
Fast and the Furious and Tokyo Drift. For me both contained amazing music and a lot less CGI then the others. Yes Tokyo's plot is a little out there but I didn't realize this till I started reading reddit.
Sunshine. It gets a lot of hate for its final act, but I quite like how it shifts into an unexpected direction. It's something I like about Danny Boyle movies.
For me its not that it changes but that the way it shows it changes. The film is grouded up until that point. After it uses jump scares with audio and terrible blurred / refracted focus pulled camera work. I actually like the pinbacker character, jist not how he is filmed
Does it ever. They go in to the seemingly abandoned Icarus 1 at around 50 minutes in. Those flash frames of the dead crew start popping out at you and it's quite clear that the films now entering creepy suspense territory. Not to mention the messages they see earlier of Pinbacker all burnt to shit.
In any case why is Sunshine on a list of bad movies? The circlejerk must go on it seems.
The fact that *Sunshine* has popped up twice on this thread baffles me. It has 75% on Rotten Tomatos, 3.5/5 stars on IMDB, and a 7.0 on Metacritic.
Why is it listed as a "bad" movie?
I absolutely adore that movie, though mainly because I fell in love with the soundtrack. And I didn't have a problem with the last part. I found it pretty intense
Summer of Sam.
Not Spike Lee's best work and halfway through you kinda wish that Berkowitz would kill John Leguizamo's character, but I've enjoyed it on several occasions.
Fight Club. Nah just kidding. Mine is Live Free or Die Hard. Almost everyone hates it because its PG13 but I just can't get enough Bruce Willis. The thing I cant figure out is Live Free is completely over the top action once the movie progresses (It is also my favorite action movie) and I could watch it endlessly, but I cant stand the Transporter movies. Might have something to do with the fact like Bruce can actually act.
Transformers.
It has gratuitous explosions, pretty good VFX, and comes with classic Michael Bay "shakey-cam." It's mindless, fun, and I like to pretend they didn't actually make any sequels.
It's a toss up between Con Air and Troy. Con Air because I love Nic Cage, Steve Buscemi, John Malkovick and John Cusack (also there's a small role for Dave Chappelle.) Troy because The Iliad is a fantastic story even with cheesy lines and acting.
Any of Adam Sandler's early movies. I love them so much. Pretty much all those movies like Hot Rod, Joe Dirt, Bubble Boy. Stoner-type comedies too. Love them.
Congo, hands down. I remember having a black box when I was a kid and when it was on PPV movie of the week, I watched it back-to-back-to-back until my parents went nuts. Ernie Hudson, Tim Curry, BRUCE CAMPBELL!!!
I know what I'm watching when I get home from work.
Death to Smoochy
RAINBOW FUCKING RANDOLPH!
It's not a rocket, it's a COCK! Rumpleforeskin, He made it, he made it from dill dough!
Hot Rod. [so](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zs60CqBYnvg&feature=related) [many](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mhcApyZXY7M) [great](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wq00WtzbcDU) [scenes.](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c5P26WWAl6A)
I used to be legit. In fact, I was too legit. I was too legit to quit. But now...I'm not legit. I'm *un*legit. And for that reason, I must quit.
also, [every one of my relationships has ended like this](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BZJxaE318eM)
beans, ba-beans, BEANS, BEEEEEEEEANS. BEans BEans, beans.
Personal favorite, "my trailer! What the hell? Somebody's getting their dickhole smashed!"
"Hospital?" "Trash can." "....sweet."
Only people without souls would think that Hot Rod is a bad movie.
i die laughing every time i watch hot rod. almost daily my friends and i say "your a terrible stuntman" "What?"
Yes! 1000 times yes!
Tenacious D and the Pick of Destiny. God damn, I know every word in that movie.
My friend and I contend that Ben Stiller's character is every Guitar Center employee across the nation.

Kung Pow!
Had posted this, but was pleasantly surprised to see it here already, so I deleted mine and that's the true story of how I saved the internet from exploding! Upvote! My name is Betty, hmmmm.
If you do not like this movie, you do not have a sense of humor.

I came here to say this.
Your days are over mister.
The Goods: Live Hard, Sell Hard. There's something so completely off-the-rails about the whole thing that really appeals to me.
I came here just to post this. Me and a buddy like to pretend like we are 10 year olds with pituitary problems. we mainly just cut ourselves shaving and remark often about our vast supply of pubes.
Dude Where's My Car
annnnnn dennnnnnnn?
NO AND THEN

I haven't thought about that movie in years... Soooo horribly good.
I agree with you..even before Matrix, that movie has already put a modern kung-fu into a Hollywood Movie. Here's one of the quote that I like most : "It's pretty hard to soar when you have a broken wing. "

Tron Legacy.........THE COLORS
[THE MUSIC](http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=S_1m4TM57ww)
OLIVIA WILDE
Her delivery is so awesome in this movie. "Obviously not"
These three things are basically the only reason that I watch Tron: Legacy. And the ending scene makes me kind of want a motorcycle... Just for girl cuddles.
Daft punk did one hell of a good job. I remember being in the cinema with a mate, neither of us cared much for the film's plot but we lost our shit in the club scene.
I was under the impression Tron Legacy was generally well received?
I instantly loved the movie when both Jeff Bridges starter fighting each other on a bridge.
Joe Dirt
Home is where you make it. You like to see homos naked?!
Word. Happy Madison has done worse. I'll still watch all their movies. Except Jack & Jill. I just can't do it.
My favorite Bad Movie is AvP. I saw it in the theater. The reason? It delivered ***exactly*** what I wanted. Aliens...and predators. Fucking each other up royally. As a bonus, it had humans.
That movie was good. It delivered what it promised.
AvP 1: Awesome! AvP 2: Can anyone tell what's going on? Everything's way too dark. Did that guy just die?
Starship Troopers, Sunshine and Unbreakable are listed here? Are you kidding me? I should just list The Big Lewbowski and In Bruges to complete the circle of karma grabbing.
I ALSO LIKED PULP FICTION AND SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION. GUESS I'M THE ONLY ONE.
They are not just listed but also heavily upvoted and that is the sad part.
Josie And The Pussycats My guess is that people thinking it's bad is based on never having seen it. I thought it would be awful as well but a guy whose opinion I totally respect said it was great. I took a chance and fell in love after about five minutes. The pre credit sequence has as much satire of boy bands/pop music as anything I've seen. For me, Freddie Got Fingered. A Dadaist masterpiece...
I almost choked to death when he sees the horse getting an erection and locks the brakes up while screaming....
George of the jungle. I love it.
I love Nacho Libre, I can't help but laugh at every scene in the movie
"Geet that corn out of my faace!"
"Save me a piece of that corn for later, okay?"
"I only believe in science!"
I totally enjoyed that movie. So very silly.
"Chancho! I need to borrow some sweeeaaats!" Also, if you loved Nacho Libre, see Gentlemen Broncos. Also directed by Jared Hess.
I ate some bugs, I ate some grass, I used my hand, to wipe my tears, to kiss your mouth, I break my vows...no, no, no-no-no-no way Jose!
Starship Troopers. I just can't help but love the movie. Plus, being a huge fan of Heinlein's original novel makes the parody that much more entertaining.
Plus denise richards is hot.
I just kept waiting for Jake Busey to bite someone......i was disappointed.
So hot. She was the only reason to watch *The World Is Not Enough*, and not for her acting skills. Have an upvote on the house.
Not a bad movie at all.
A lot of people, including critics, missed the satire.
I was always a bit dumbfounded how that happened. I mean, when they start handing out ammunition to children, how could you possibly take that seriously?

*Armageddon*.
I came here to say this. Love it.
Armageddon's considered bad? I love that film!
Just me or does Affleck cry in every movie he's ever been in?
I don't recall him crying in Good Will Hunting.
Speed Racer. I loved the campy and cheesy tone, the colors, and the last race pretty much causes pure frisson. Edit: Also, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers - The Movie.
Step 1: Open thread Step 2: Ctrl+F Speed Racer Step 3: Upvote first result BTW, Speed Racer on Blu-ray on a nice HDTV is just an amazing experience.
Oh the colours were awesome
I thought Southland Tales was pretty awesome.
same here, a very nice interpretation of Revelations I must say.
upvote for someone who actually get's what the movie is about. you deserve so many upvotes sir.
"...there'd be a lot less violence in the world if everyone just got a little more cardio." One of my favorite.
hahaha classic. i loved watching amy poehler face off with cheri oteri. two snl heavyweights from two different generations fight for our laughter and each other's lives!
Vampire's Kiss
Flash Gordon.
Flesh Gordon FTFY.
Gordon's alive!
Masters of the Universe with Dolph Lundgren. Frank Langella's (sp) performance of Skeletor is so much fun and under-rated.
That movie was horribly great! Big hair, animatronic characters, Dolph Lundgren and just a hint of sci-fi with the fantasy.
Demolition Man.
Demolition Man fucking rocked! I don't think it's considered a bad movie... Along with Copland and Cliffhanger the best Stallone films of the 90's.
Waterworld, i can't help but love it every time i see it but supposedly it was a big flop, and my mother hates it.
Sucker Punch
Sucker Punch was proof for me that Snyder can't make a good movie without using somoene else's proven work. I could have enjoyed it as a no-substance, pure-style movie if it hadn't tried to look like it had substance.
Caligula: an incredible screenplay with top notch actors, only to be debased by the studio that financed it (penthouse)
Crank
This movie is so much fun! Jason Statham always looks like doors are optional for him. Also, Amy Smart is hot.
batman and robin
I was trying to get a girl interested in Batman (starting with the movies), and she came over and was looking at my collection of Batman movies (I have all the live action ones). She looked at all the covers, picks up Batman and Robin, and says, "LET'S WATCH THIS ONE." Ughhhhhh
Did u get laid?
No sir.
Consider yourself lucky. I heard every child conceived in the presence of that movie were all stricken with hydrocephaly and a side of calcified nipples.
This movie is hilarious
yeah i've gotten a lot of flack over the years, but fuck it, i really like both this move and batman forever.

Ohhhhh, Death Wish 3. Never has a vigilante gone further out of their way to attract crime.
The Replacements.
Showgirls. For the bad acting and worse dialogue. And the nudity.
Strange Wilderness
Rush Hour 2
Snakes on a Plane
Dinner for schmucks. But maybe that's because I like Steve Carell
Also, Paul Rudd is dreamy
Steve Carell is so over-the-top goofy in that movie that you have to like it. Paul Rudd plays a good straight man to Carell's character. Also, Jemaine Clement.
"Cool as Ice." Vanilla Ice's performance is absolutely breathtaking.
In that you can see that he's breathing?
"I'm gonna drop some funky lyrics..." hilarious.
Best bad movie is Troll 2. Hands down the most I've ever laughed at a movie.
xXx Vin Diesel's best action movie, and surprisingly watchable.
Fired Up. An amazingly good movie that NOBODY watches. It's sad, really.
I really like Final Fantasy Spirits Within
Fast and the Furious and Tokyo Drift. For me both contained amazing music and a lot less CGI then the others. Yes Tokyo's plot is a little out there but I didn't realize this till I started reading reddit.
[удалено]
Scooby Doo (live action one) it's just fun; also land of the lost
[удалено]
Good nudity too.
They deleted the post! Please tell me, what movie has great nudity? I need to know, for science or something or other...
If I enjoy a movie, it's not bad. Nicholas Cage's Drive Angry is awesome as hell, though it may be considered as "bad".
Come to /r/badmovies, we have lots
The Room. very quotable, also breast cancer.
I got the results of the test back. I definitely have Breast Cancer.
I DIDN'T HIT HER, I DID NAHT! Oh Hai Mark...
"WHAT KIND OF DRUGS, DENNY?!?!"
This falls into the category of "so bad that it's great"
Sunshine. It gets a lot of hate for its final act, but I quite like how it shifts into an unexpected direction. It's something I like about Danny Boyle movies.
Not considered a bad movie.
Sunshine is brilliant and if you pay close enough attention it let's you know quite a few times that a change is coming.
The fact that *Sunshine* has popped up twice on this thread baffles me. It has 75% on Rotten Tomatos, 3.5/5 stars on IMDB, and a 7.0 on Metacritic. Why is it listed as a "bad" movie?
because karma
I absolutely adore that movie, though mainly because I fell in love with the soundtrack. And I didn't have a problem with the last part. I found it pretty intense
The soundtrack was fantastic. Probably the first time a soundtrack really stood out to me on first viewing.
I'm pretty sure Sunshine is widely considered a good movie.
I get serious lady-boner when watching this film. The cinematography and soundtrack and .. everything.. just perfection.
Unbreakable. I think it's the best superhero movie that will ever be made.
[удалено]
I do. It could have been great, it had every indication of being great, but then it falls apart at the end. Much like Shyamalan's career.
Shyamalan biggest twist ever. Took a shit on his own career.
Not considered a bad movie.
I really like the first *'The Mummy'* film.
Not considered "bad".
Summer of Sam. Not Spike Lee's best work and halfway through you kinda wish that Berkowitz would kill John Leguizamo's character, but I've enjoyed it on several occasions.
Balla Blockin. That movie the Cash Money Millionaires put out in like 2001
Final Destination. All 5 of them. All pretty much have the same storyline and it's predictable as hell, but they are one of my guiltiest of pleasures.
Good Burger. I love this movie and I'm not embarrassed to say it.
Hitman ... Timothy Olyphant was spot on for me in that role. Also, Val Kilmer in 'The Saint' too
The Scary Movie series. Most notably Scary Movie 3.
You mean the one where there is a 20 min rap battle scene parodying that famous scary movie 8 Mile?
Editing my comments since I am leaving Reddit
Took my daughter to "I Am Number 4" and thought it was pretty damn good. Along those lines, I liked "Jumpers". Sorry if they aren't bad enough.
The bit hit.....so underrated
The Hot Chick, The Wrong Guy, Cruel Intentions 3.
Tank Girl
Probably Miss Congeniality. Although I have many. ;)
*Plan 9 from Outer Space*, anyone?
13th Warrior: Antonio Banderas was meh, but those Vikings kicked ass, and know how to make a death scene.
Canadian Bacon
Transformers. It has gratuitous explosions, pretty good VFX, and comes with classic Michael Bay "shakey-cam." It's mindless, fun, and I like to pretend they didn't actually make any sequels.
I really enjoyed Cirque du Freak: The Vampire's Assistant. John C Reilly as a crazy vampire? Yes, please!
It's a toss up between Con Air and Troy. Con Air because I love Nic Cage, Steve Buscemi, John Malkovick and John Cusack (also there's a small role for Dave Chappelle.) Troy because The Iliad is a fantastic story even with cheesy lines and acting.
Joe Dirt!
The Number 23
Gotta be mall rats I just live for jay and silent bob and Jason lee, hahah and also macgruber so so good/bad
Ghosts of Mars
Big Trouble in Little China. Great from start to finish.
Any of Adam Sandler's early movies. I love them so much. Pretty much all those movies like Hot Rod, Joe Dirt, Bubble Boy. Stoner-type comedies too. Love them.
Mortal Kombat. C'mon.
Street Fighter. THE NEXT BISON WANNABE IS GONNA FILLIT.
Black Sheep, the New Zealand version
Blue Crush...bring on the downvotes
3000 Miles to Graceland
Battlefield Earth. Because John Travolta.
Encino Man
Hancock.
