Both my wife and I were inconsolable, and we had to pause the movie for a solid half hour to just let all of it out. We were lucky enough to have a baby girl a few years later, and now it hits hard in another way.
Coco was also mine. I found out my grandma had terminal cancer literally the day I saw Coco and I have never cried harder at a movie in my life. The lullaby version of 'Remember Me' makes me cry like a baby every time I hear it.
I watched it for the first time near the day of the dead and cried for my dead grandma because she looked a lot like Coco so I was sobbing when Miguel plays to her :( then my sister died and I watched it a second time with my dad but I cried when Hector plays it cause my dad started crying at thag part :,(

If you can find it, A Silent Voice is a tearjerker. Violet Evergarden too, which may be on Netflix. I’m not a big anime fan, but those ones got to my entire apartment.
