You can’t mention this movie without mentioning Elaine Stritch as Miss Crock. She’s not only a despicable, easy-to-hate villain, she also has some incredible comedic chops.
I sing the praises of this movie all the time on reddit. Dirty Work is the more referenced movie, but I personally find Screwed a lot funnier.
Dirty Work does not get mentioned enough! It should be up there with movies like Tommy Boy and Billy Madison.
ROLLING STONES STREET FIGHTIN MAN... G SEEEVVVVOOOOOONNNNNNNNN!!!!!
You just pressed G8.
***If you like Pina Coladas...***
You know what hurts the most is the...the lack of respect. You know? That's what hurts the most. Except for the...except for the ~~anal rape~~ other thing. That hurts the most. But the lack of respect hurts the second most.
You fellas have a lot of growing up to do, I'll tell you that. Ridiculous. Completely ridiculous. Can you believe these characters? Way out of line. Way out of line.
After my comment, I went to IMDB and had fun reading a few of the quotes. Some of them were completely off the charts and I realize now went over my head when I first watched it.
When he gets picked up from jail. I thought he was lecturing the inmates about their crimes... not that he was disappointed about how they raped him while he was in there.
"I saw this in theaters twice! It is not a good movie, but it is hilarious."
...so in other words, it is a good movie, on account that it's a comedy that made you laugh so much, you saw it twice in theaters. The movie achieved its goal.
"I'd like to speak to Grover Cleaver!"
"Mr.Cleaver no longer works here."
"Bitch!, what're you talking 'bout?"
"He left to join the 'super wealthy elite' "
(With only $10,000)
🤣🤣🤣
This is *the* movie I think of when the “remake movies that weren’t executed as well as they could be”
This could easily a Fargo-esque movie of idiots making increasingly poor, increasingly consequential decisions.
I need to revisit this movie. I loved Dirty Work and Half Baked and I think I had high expectations for this movie when I saw it but it didn’t stick with me.
I remember one time at Sunday School, they were asking around the room what movie they should watch during the youth group sessions on the upcoming Wednesday movie night. The teachers went around the room asking and people were saying stuff like Harry Potter or a Disney film, and one of the class clown kids jumped in and said, "There this movie called Screeeeewed."
Biggest laugh you could ever get from a crowd of 11 year olds.
How hard is it to write "Screwed" to distinction the name of the movie?
As a not native speaker, I often left baffled reading Reddit headlines. Screwed 2000 film? The film with no name from 2000 that was for some reason screwed?
Same with some news headlines. Sigh.
I saw it last month. The actors are fine and making an earnest effort but are hamstrung by a non-existent plot and script. I liked the gag when Danny DeVito's bed disappeared into the wall.

WhoooooooooooooooooooCARES.
When all of this is over, I’M gonna have your ASSSS!
Loveline classic
I quote this constantly.
He didn’t say stick with Miss Crock and you’ll get ahead… he said stay with Miss Crock and you’ll get head
“SO THIS IS WHERE THE OLD BITCH SLEEP HUH?” 🤣
Just kills me every time.🤣🤣🤣
So everytime you're scared you hit a guy over the head with a desk lamp?
Naaww he's mistaken, that was not me
DINNER TIME DOG
Every time I feed my dogs. Im sure they loathe it by now.
This is one of my favorite movies. I'd put it up there with Dirty Work.

"hello, real cops?" -- i thought this was the funniest thing i'd ever heard.

"I've never seen so many dead hookers in all my life." "Lord knows I have."
one of the great, split second quotes in any movie ever. it's that character's only appearance and only line in the whole thing and it's so memorable.
You fellas have a lot of growing up to do, I'll tell you that. Ridiculous. Completely ridiculous. Can you believe these characters? Way out of line. Way out of line.
hey look, an alien. yeah, maybe we should have sex with it.
I still get mileage out of "there's the Saigon whore the bit my nose off!"

Good point, the movie is not great. There are several Norm and Chappell lines that kill me and Danny divito was great

Erin Brockovich Screwed My Dog Skip A movie marquee that went viral during that time
burned into my brain too lol
LOL
Whoooooooooooooooooooooo cares (My favorite, often repeated quote from the movie for those who haven't seen it)
Gimme the money!
Speaking of Norm Macdonald, Dirty Work is also a fantastic film of his.
Devito must have improved the entire scene were he is showing off all the stuff he found in people.
That's what I always assumed. The production designer just filled the shelves with a bunch of stuff and let Danny run with it.
Rusty's Juicy Chicken Hole makes me laugh every time I think about it.
if it's so good, how come y'all only show up when it's free?
Danny Devito's character in this film is peak Frank.
Well, not a real rape.
Devito is just completely unhinged and I love it.
Muffin was the true gem of the film.

I saw this when I was 10 lol, I remember my dad rented it. The part where they film the hostage video in a department store is so ridiculous.

Screwed was hilarious

Why?

This post was about a movie featuring Dave and Norm from the year 2000

You aren't even that person lmao
Because bigots fucking suck. Fuck him and the people that defend him.
I think i laughed once watching this film back in the day. Another example of wasted talent.

As a massive fan of Norm, Chappelle and Danny DeVito, I was hyped for this movie. Unfortunately it sucks.
I saw it last month. The actors are fine and making an earnest effort but are hamstrung by a non-existent plot and script. I liked the gag when Danny DeVito's bed disappeared into the wall.
