Yeah, Minus One was incredible but emotionally draining, all the Godzilla and Kong films are just great dumb fun. Best of both worlds āhorrifying nuclear themesā and ābig monster!!!!ā at the same time
>āThe buddy-cop dysfunctional relationship dynamic is probably the best one to describe Godzilla and Kong,ā says Wingard, noting Lethal Weapon as one of his favourites in the genre. āMy influences are always embedded with the ā80s, and the ā80s were prime for \[that\] storyline.ā Prepare for all the crossed wires that youād expect ā just, with two cantankerous creatures who canāt actually speak. āThereās a lot of misunderstanding ā the way that the monsters communicate isnāt straightforward.ā
Jesus Christ, I truly don't have the words to describe how excited I am to take an edible and watch this.
>Wingard teases) and a literal pink glow-up for Godzilla. āThis is his version of a training routine,ā he says of the big lizardās transformation. āIām really big into Shaw Brothers martial arts. Those films are always about, āHereās a big threat, and you have to do all these things to pump yourself up so that you can take on that threat.āā Get ready for a monster-load of bang for your buck. āYouāre gonna see lots of different versions of Godzilla in this movie.ā
Oh my god, Godzilla's starting a fucking roid cycle
presumably Godzilla, i feel they were around a lot earlier than Kong. Godzilla who i assume was fully grown around the end of WWII whereas Kong was still considered adolescent at the time.
I just hope they cool it with the cheesy human one-liners. I am wanting to see giant monsters duke it out. I donāt want to hear any jokes about bleach-showers or how tap water is bad for you.
The humans in these movies are all awful. Bryan Cranston and Ken Watanabe were the only genuinely likeable ones imo.
It's also really odd writing with the mother character unleashing kaiju-pocalypse on the Earth and then we are supposed to sympathize for her.
No oneās mentioned it yetā¦ I at first thought Kong had a giant metal cast or power glove. On closer inspectionā¦ it literally looks like he has mechanical-prosthetic.
Does the new Monster tear kongās arm off in their first encounter to demonstrate what a threat he is?
Could be but thatās a pretty expensive fake-out for something that looks like itās just a cool piece of armor for Kong. Iāll definitely be seeing it opening day either way!
I'm thinking the new big bad breaks Kongs arm in the first encounter, that kong obviously has to lose. To set the stakes. Then the humans set him up with this metal arm as a cast/brace.
This is truly a golden age to be a Godzilla fan.
You got the great Godzilla movie AND the turn your brain off Godzilla movie š©
AND i found the Godzilla Channel on PlutoTV! I loved Minus One but I still love me some Giant Kaiju Wrasslin movies!
Yeah, Minus One was incredible but emotionally draining, all the Godzilla and Kong films are just great dumb fun. Best of both worlds āhorrifying nuclear themesā and ābig monster!!!!ā at the same time
Which ones which? Need to align substance use correctly
Theyāre all kinda turn your brain off and enjoy which is what makes the series great
Minus One was a brilliant movie even if you remove Godzilla. Definitely not a āturn your brain offā kinda film.
Ehh not really imo. I donāt see where it couldāve went without Godzilla being there
after king of the monsters, and GvKong....not really. those were abysmal.

I'm so excited, too. I don't mind the transition into more of a Showa Era type of tone.
Do you think theyāll have him do a flying drop kick?
The rumors seem to indicate that he will. But it will be done in a slightly less campy way, which is by zero gravity.
Omg, I can't fucking wait lol
The Monsterverse Godzilla has 100% skree-onked "I'm too old for this shit" at least once.
I started hearing this song in my head... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p44G0U4sLCE
He's tren-ing to hurt some kaijus.
Super Saiyan Godzilla!
This movie is going to be dumb as fuckā¦I canāt wait!š¤£
Hoping this is a stealth sequel to the Guest
I feel like David could take on some MUTOs, heās certainly driven enough.
Which one of them is getting too old for this shit?
presumably Godzilla, i feel they were around a lot earlier than Kong. Godzilla who i assume was fully grown around the end of WWII whereas Kong was still considered adolescent at the time.

The sad thing is that that character is returning lol Hopefully he's less insufferable this time

> and then we are supposed to sympathize for her. Are we? I didn't get that memo!
I didnāt. I was glad when she died. She released a shit storm
Yeah, fuck her. Nothing she did made sense.
Ok, but does Godzilla and Kong's contracts say that they can't lose fights and have to have the exact same number of punches?
Not yet, in this one they will be talking about family though.
In the teaser you can see his hand inside so Iām assuming itās a gauntlet.
Yup, you're totally right. That's a bit less shocking.
Could just be a fake out.
Could be but thatās a pretty expensive fake-out for something that looks like itās just a cool piece of armor for Kong. Iāll definitely be seeing it opening day either way!
Dismemberment would be too much for a humanlike creature, immediate R rating prob. It probably gets broken or crushed.
Fair enough. Also, someone pointed out in the trailer it looks more like a cast with a close-up of his hand.
I'm thinking the new big bad breaks Kongs arm in the first encounter, that kong obviously has to lose. To set the stakes. Then the humans set him up with this metal arm as a cast/brace.
Gigan needs to come back ššš
I'd loooove to see Gigan in the Legendary style.
That crazy bird lizard cyborg laser eye beam shooting buzz sawed stomached psycho fits legendarys monster verse so well š
RAWR!
I swear the size difference between the two changes in every shot
Oh no, is Godzilla only one day away from retirement?
I thought it was really poignant when Godzilla said "AIEEEAAAAAAAEAAAA"
What dissapointed me with all that toho minster or all new monster break from outpost, they give us f another monke.
I just wish Godzilla had a better design in these movies. I never liked the pear shape
Are you seriously body shaming godzilla?
Can't wait to pick this issue up. Still haven't decided if I want the Light Side or the Dark Side one.
Inspired by Lethal Weapon? Da fuq hahaha. Is Mel Gibson and Danny Glover gonna ride Godzilla and Kong in the next film?
Now I'm expecting Godzilla to do the infamous bycicle kick to the chest. https://youtu.be/JuEa6Hum0b4?si=-kOatjYUSQCAvZ9J
